- For the goods check out chelseadenofa.com. We have been adding stuff bi weekly and when its gone its gone, were not reprinting.
The last few weeks have been a lot of finishing projects and getting things running. This video is more about keeping things running. Chelsea had an off course excursion last weekend and broke some parts on the S550, So we check that out and get parts ordered. We spent most of the day prepping panels for the Foxbody and getting my Dads Corvair up and running tho. It's rad having my wife out in the shop helping get things done! - Авто та транспорт
The Chelsea DeNofa UA-cam channel is becoming my favorite! Very real and technical!
think we can all agree chelsea’s content is what we look forward to every week , love it
A tour of the property would be nice. The place looks so sick
With the swamp life joke made you should get a swamp related window banner for it. Swamp donkey or something like that!! Keep the content coming man. Not many viewers really appreciate the explanation of everything as you go through stuff.
That bed in the back tho! 👌👌
👏🏻 lets go Denofa’s 🤙🏻
Great video guys, I enjoyed it alot. The truck was killing me the look and paint just scream early 90's great memories.
Hell yea more content🤘 Keep it up man
Glad the TI is fixed !
800 or 1000 is good. 400 is too thick if you paint with waterborne paint (which is thinner than solvent-based paint). Even with solvent based paint, 800 is still better 🙂.
The ford is THE sickest truck ever
Might be late to the party. As far as sanding goes, how you sand is just as important as the grit your using. The brand and type of sand paper also will play a roll. For anyone who says otherwise , works at maaco. (Not ment to be a diss) General rule of thumb, the higher the grit, the less scratches youll see. 800 is the max end if the spectrum for paint prep. 400-600 is best. Another contributing factor is also, the material your sanding , the paint your using and how you apply it. In the future if you guys want some help, just holler. Im near the cocoa beach area, so not to far away.
Matt’s off road recovery- Matt would probably love that corvair!
Chelsea your the luckiest man you got yourself the perfect women she loves car stuff and even help you with them I envy you and a big tums up on content your really doing a amazing job.
Yay air cooled content!
400 might be ok knocking off primer/under high-build primer, but I'd use 320 for even that. Been a while (like 20 years) since I've been In a bodyshop, and only now just getting into my own 46ti project, so I may be forgetting something. For prep over hi build primer/under basecoat/lacquer scuff, 500-800 is what you want. 1000+ for clear 👍🏾
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN WE PLEASE BRING BACK 90s PAINT JOBS!!!!
Are you still doing the drift school ? Literally one of my top 3 favorite drivers and I want to learn from you.🤘🏾
I think he does some work in Texas! Park doesn’t have drifting bc of a noise complaint (I believe). Please correct me if I’m wrong bc id also love to learn from him
Nothing right now. Just private lessons
@@chelseadenofa that’s even better what would that cost me ?
That truck is unbelievable. The back seat is so sick, I'm assuming thats not a factory thing
That is the best truck ever
Matt from Matt's OffRoad Recovery has a bit of an obsession with corvairs... might hit em up if you sell or need parts perhaps.
400 grit is good for primer to cover sand scratches, Need atleast 500 to have some colors cover sand scratches.
Chelsea is 🔥
You are on the right track with 800. 600 grit is honestly the best though.
800 if you want to at most. 400 you will see scratches especially if metallic. At 1000 grit you basically remove most of the scratches which are needed for a mechanical bond (paint to body).
I guess you are spraying wet on wet?
The dopest dope 🤘
🔥🔥
600 or 800 dry sanding 400 for wet sanding
Is that mad Brad in the background when Mustang was on the lift?
We finish up too 600 before it goes into the paint booth
Agree. Some comment just told her 1000 grit... OMFG! nice way to remove the chance of a mechanical bond for the paint.
i know you got a mustang so i am ready for the bias but..
2015 mustang gt OR 2016 camaro ss
for daily to take to the track every now and then to drift
why or why not each car?
Hi....when you take the Monza car around, because I don't know it well 👍
Chelsea, your final finish sanding should be 1,000 grit to reduce visible scratches in the base coat and still have enough texture for the clear to bond properly.👌
No!!! 1,000 grit defeats the purpose of sanding - to create a mechanical bond. 600 is perfect. 800 if you wan to at most. 400 you will see scratches especially if metallic.

Do you think it's my first time painting?
@@gwbuilder5779 no. You have probably done that for years...
@@FRENZY355
Follow the spec sheets sir.
Every material is different.
I do think it's funny that you keep commenting about 800 as if it is a huge difference from 1000.
In case you are not sure, we are talking about the finish color coat, preparing for clear. You can certainly use 800 grit, but black, midnight blue, and any other deep dark base colors with any type of accent like pearl or flake will show faint scratches.
By the way, your UA-cam and Google knowledge are awesome.👌🤙
@@gwbuilder5779 Yawn... Nice attempt champ, so close to an insult, but yet so far.. Just like your homeschooling or mango grafting adventures I'd imagine.
Let's put it into perspective shall we:
This car will be door bashed, peppered with rocks and delaminated tyres, pressure washed, leaned on, crawled over and more. Not driven sparingly and shown at a classic car show or judged for the 'Great 8.'
It is going to get hammered Mr Mango Man. So yes, I'd say the difference between 600-800-1000 makes a difference.
It's a curl-over
Wet sand with the 400 chelshe?
This channel its making progress i see youve got a camera man nice
It’s an uphill battle of money lost. I’m happy to bring you guys along on my journey tho!
@chelseadenofa the money will come brother keep up the progress

The balance is tough, especially when you both dip into the bumper budget on a regular basis.😂🤙
hit up matts off road recovery for any corvair or monza stuff he is a hoarder with them. he has a few and gave all of his kids and most of his employees one and is building a baja corvair for the baja 1000
They keep saying s550 is 10k... WHERE???? I WANT ONE !
Where can I find that pennzoil shirt? I’ve been looking for it. fckn sick
Good things going on.
Can anyone explain me why Americans seem to be obsessed with bare razor blades, without placing them in a proper knife /holder. Apparently not everything is bigger in America.
Laziness
Lz and denofa need to do a school together
What edition of obs is that or was it painted that way?
Painted that way
@@chelseadenofa that’s a sick ass paint job on that that build reminds me of the centurion modle
