"Monster" has a premise that's very unique among animated and live action entertainment. I can't recall any series or movie that tackles the subject matter "Monster" addresses.
Fruits Basket is the most beautiful wonderful show❤ in my top 5 anime. The 2019 remake is more faithful to the manga and seems to be the preferred from people who have seen both. I've never seen the old one but gosh it's just gorgeous! Good pick Navi.
I love Fairy Tail most of all, but I think JoJo’s is a good one to start.

That Gundam option genuinely made me want to sub to vote, cos it's criminally underrated overseas and I'm dying for someone to react to the Origin prequels as a starting point (my fav Gundam shows are Thunderbolt and War in the Pocket), but the other options are way more popular it's never gonna win lmao 😂

Yuyu Hakasho is one of my favorite anime of all time. Its got a ton of heart and has one of the best tournament arcs in anime.
Yu Yu Hakusho(DUB) is the probably the best show on this list but because its old its never gonna win. I have this same problem with Blind Wave; its been on their poll many times but never wins because people always vote for the new flashy.

I love YuYu but the final quarter of the anime drops off big time for me. FMAB dub is a great concise story. Bradley is is up there with my favorite dub voice overs.

Monster is definitely the best to pick out of those especially if you’ve never seen it. The other ones are kinda like common anime people have seen.

Redoing FMAB again feels a bit odd, I think they should at least get to watch the original FMA anime so they have something new for the channel, then continue in Brotherhood once that's done. Especially if this poll is in comparison with these other powerhouses with hundreds of episodes

The hate comes from internet anime communities that exist to hate. A lot of people like "Fairy Tail" and people shouldn't apologize for it being one of their favorite anime.

I suggest Pluto, it's done by the same guy that did Monster and it's a reinterpretation of Astro Boy as a serious cyberpunk story.
Of the stuff on this list, I'd love to see Steins:Gate. Of the other choices, I think really just FMAB, Madoka Magica and *maybe* Dragonball are worth reacting to? Granted I've not watched some of the shows here, but of the other ones I have seen like Inuyasha, Jojo, Fruits Basket, and Gundam aren't really prime reaction content material.
Inuyasha is fun, but is definitely a long and slow burn. Fairy Tail is a bit more hype so I suppose that wouldn't be a terrible choice, but it's also really freaking long. Gundam is kinda hit or miss.
Berserk never makes these lists but I understand. The anime needs a serious and true to form update. The 90s anime has great music at least. Also sucks that you guys dropped Vinland Saga season 2. It was one of the best animes of last year and won some Anime of the Year awards amongst all the other juggernaughts. Seinen animes are just more thought provoking and not as flashy. Surprised Monster is on this list for this reason.

It gets a lot of unnecessary hate. There's a lot to like and flips a lot of anime tropes on its head.

@@kaizokud42 if they dropped 1 episode a week it would take 21 years to get to the current episode, even if they did 1 episode every day it would take 3 years and new episodes are still being released. They would either never finish it or would need to change their entire recording, editing and upload schedule for a single show which seems unrealistic and is likely why they are reading the manga instead
@@Wezt334 but they started Bleach just over a year ago and they are at 200+ episodes. At best they need 5 years to catch up.
@@kaizokud42 that’s a short sighted way of looking at it, Bleach has 366 episodes (by the time the finish TYBW it will be 418) however they are skipping all filler for Bleach so they are skipping 163 episodes leaving a total of 255 episodes (potentially the last 13 may not even be out by the time they get there).
OP however as of today has 1100 episodes, 98 of those are filler leaving 1002 and episodes are still airing, this means to watch One Piece in the same way and rate that they watch Bleach it will take them just under 4 times longer than it has to watch all of Bleach just to get to the current episode as of today. Again simple math if we assume a double drop each week that’s still 10.5 years, to catch up in the 5 years you suggest they’d have to do 4 episodes a week at a minimum (which would be a new record for any show they have watched) and even then they would still need to then catch up with whatever episodes aired between now and 5 years from then on. Really when comparing it to watching Bleach it’s not really a far comparison just from a numbers stand point.
