Any Daw gets the job done. But the simplicity in a daw, makes it easier and allows the flow of creativity.
it`s one thing to open the bible and read it but its another thing to "understand it" and Guard/Do his word.
This channel is 🔥. Glad to see the quick growth bc it's deserving. I love it when you guys build together. Very empowering...sharing knowledge. ❤💯
Reason and Logic have the best sounds by far…. It’s all subjective tho.
I prefer Studio One because it reminds me of the 1st Computer Sequencer I used, Visions by Mark Of The Unicorn… I started with The MPC 60 II and did the whole Commissioned Number 7 Album on it and Irreplaceable Love then went into the Jingle Industry in Chicago introduced to “Visions” And I Loved Them!!! Then They went out of business!!! 😡😡😡 So we were contacted by ProTools to be a beta tester and got version 1.3 and HATED IT!!! It got better with time but I Loved Visions and used it until I couldn’t use it anymore. We continued with ProTools and they got a little better with the sequencing portion (the Audio has always been Superior) but the the Sequencing portion was subpar but then I was introduced to Studio One and it reminds me of Visions and the ability to Drag and Drop made it a No Brainer for me! I don’t want to be a Mix Engineer and don’t want to waste time tweaking a Compressor for the Kick Drum, all I have to do is pull up the Compressor and select Kick Drum and BOOM I have 10 examples to choose from and that made it easy for me… I Love ❤️ That Studio One keeps adding features and now the Live features are incredible… So I’m Team Studio One ALL THE WAY!!! ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

I rock with all three DAWs. For creating it tends to be Ableton or Logic for me. I love to mix with Studio One, it feels really transparent DAW. The more tracks I need, Logic is where I'm going, If I need versatility I'm going with Ableton (clip view lets me create song segments and interchange parts of the songs on a fly). Dropping in Tempo based loops without really thinking about it.
I’ve used studio one for years to mix a bit but mostly for tracking. Things sound clean before the actual mix down. Logic I use because clients send their sessions as logic files to me to mix I take the files then dump them to Pro Tools. Majority of the musicians I work with are Logic users so while we record if they wanna pull something up for us to use in it boom it’s there. Ableton is good to build beats, loops, etc which me and a few people use to sequence stuff. Pro Tools I use as a mixing and mastering DAW.
I was a salesman before I’ve told people for years use what makes you comfortable working with. I’ve heard so many people talk about industry stuff in people are using a lot of software that people have skipped over! People go by names instead of workflow which is bad.
Most pros aren’t gonna question what you use it’s the people that do question yet don’t know what they’re talking about and sadly not a lot to show for their belief.
Thank y’all for helping people telling them this is how y’all workflow goes for your production as an insight!
Team Cubase
#3 studio one pro for Sure !
I have Logic, FL and Studio One! Studio One from top to bottom for me! Good talk.
I agree, great talk…. No wrong answers, just preferences!
Very nice
YEAH BUDDY!! That's Hunter.. Excellent chat guys.. This was very informative.. OUTSTANDING work young men..
Thanks for this collective share of knowledge, I love yi guys.
I use Studio one, I love it, I love the melodyne integration, the drag and drop functionality, the Song page, project page and the Live show page is awesome.
Trying to find my way around Ableton though, lolz, this channel has really been a blessing.
God bless y'all
I appreciate the collective knowledge , wisdom & experience of these 3 kings 🤴🏾 🤴🏾 🤴🏾 🎉 💯
Great video however I truly believe its about the producer using the DAW than the DAW itself. Also different DAWS will appeal to different creatives based how and what they create. That being said my preference is REASON but have used Logic and still use Abelton from time to time as well. Keep the great content coming
reason gang in the BUILDING
LOGIC Pro X 🔥, That’s It.
One day….. Reaper is gonna come around. 😅🤦🏽♂️
Reaper/Cubase 🙋🏽♂️
This has been the most informative session so far! You guys are the best!!!! God Bless you!!!!
Definitely Teddy Riley videos with Studio One - got me hooked!
Love the content and appreciate hearing this from the perspective of high level producers in the industry who are believers. I do primarily Christian and Concious hip hop and RnB style music. I hear you talking about Luna a lil on this and another video so I’m interested and gonna do my research. Have you all heard about or tried Mixbus 32C DAW?
Thanks for making this video... Really enlightening!
FL Studio, MPC and Ableton do the best job of allowing you to clip without sounding bad.
I’m sticking with the DAW that’s free and that’s Logic Pro X
Ableton does everything necessary+. 💯

I’ve learned to appreciate Luna a lot more since it came out in 2020.
I'mma need y'all to go live again...please and thank you, 3 Sirs. 👀✊🙂
In light of the MPC series, I had the 2000 and the production I did with it was very punchy even before adding any compression or effects. I loved the sound of the MPC 2000.
LOGIC PRO X ,NO DOUBT.....!!!
I have Reason, Logic X, FL Studio, Ableton, Studio One, MPC, Maschine, Pro Tools, Harrison Mix Bus and Luna. Most familiar with Reason and Ableton. I hate to sound cliche, but they have their advantages and drawbacks...
Yaahn isn't super happy about the all new features on S1 😂😂😂😂
Lol
Use what you are comfortable with and the style and workflow since most DAWs all do the same thing despite differences in work flow. I use Studio One Pro is my one stop shop Master MIDI sequencer, Recording, Editing and Mixing. I'm basically Hybrid after moving away from standalone hardware sequencing from MPCs and Workstation keyboards. I use both software VST synths ane hardware synths as a true Hybrid setup. I downsized and switched over to rack mount hardware sound modules many of them of all the as rack mount versions of all the popular Workstation keyboards of the 90s and early 2000s. I own about 5 sound modules, the newest being the Roland Integra-7 down to th oldest as my Vintage E-MU Proteus 2000 and E-MU Mo Phatt sound modules from the late 90s and 2000s. I have two MOTIF ES's as I have the MOTIF ES6 which is in the closet soon to be retired that's got 11 years worth of beats I need to get off of it while the MOTIF Rack-ES replaced it. I sequence all the MIDI of my hardware synths in Studio One all connected to my MOTU MIDI interface.
I believe I'm gonna finish this video, but y'all have dropped so many gems in this first 17minutes - that keep firing up these DAWs to try the stuff you guys are sharing. For people that don't know - you are dropping major gems right not. ✊🏿

Insightful discussion. Ive learned a lot as an aspiring producer. I went with Ableton as my main for live integration at church but Cubase features are getting my attention for tracking and mixing purposes. won't need much 3rd party plugins. hope it works
Wow, no love for Fl Studio producers😂I started with Reason but once I got ahold Of FL Studio I spent years learning everything to the point where now I don't know if I have the willpower to learn a whole new program all over lol but I always wanted to learn logic. I mainly make RnB type of stuff and click tracks for church so FL has become second nature to me!
The best DAW for you is the one you’re most proficient in and suited to your particular workflow. Ask 100 people, you’ll probably get 100 unique answers.
My advice for someone new is demo a few and pick the one that works the most like you work. I use MPCs to compose songs (not just beats) and master in Ableton. Composition on a DAW for me is Studio One or Cubase.
There is no “best DAW”. Just the best for how you work. Most people view certain interfaces a certain way based on how your mind and workflow is organized.
New MPCs just have a cleaner, more neutral sound which is more desirable for me. Old, lower bit outputs aren’t better. They just have a certain coloring. I’d rather have a clean, neutral sound that I can color later versus a colored sound I need to try to clean up.
All these learned men are speaking from personal bias. You may find that your personal biases are different.
Yeah! Studio One all the way!!!!!!!
36:27 - @Vaughn - The Push3 would be the equivalent of you using the VS1680 back in the day.
.And you were killin' with the VS
Studio One rocks!!!! Producing ,Mixing& Mastering all in one🔥🔥🔥🔥 especially the "update Masterinh file" feature
Def my favorite!
That's my favourite, I do everything there
Studio One all day... using ~ 8 years now
@Mike -
It's the Dark Saber...This is the way
Bruh! I was so mad at my self after the stream! 🤦🏾♂️…I had a million things going on at once so my Brian farted lol
No issues fam…all the 🔥 and free game you all shared on this episode makes up for not recalling a Star Wars detail momentarily. Overall great show team!! Interject music nerd/star wars joke: “May the Akai Force be with you”🤣
I actually deal mostly with Logic and some Cubase. Logic is very user friendly and not intimidating at all. Ableton seem intimidating so I never really jumped into only for loops to drop into other systems.
Yaahn came through with that beater template tho!!!
Bro. V you about to go to Studio One!
What cameras are y'all using? Loooking crisp! A studio one user here. Still waiting for JM to drop that Studio One Mixing template 😢
Go to 43:25 we talk about our cameras there
Great conversation... just wondering if anyone still uses Cubase for Gospel. I find it a workhorse too from production to mixing to mastering and the sonic plus stock plugins and stock sound library are quite robust and versatile
The best DAW (to produce anything in) is the one that you're most familiar with and the most proficient in. #ReasonGang. That said, Gospel producers got Logic on lock fr!!! It's all personal taste.... Luna sounds better than everything tho
I’m starting to agree about Luna…I’m currently exploring and I’m very intrigued to share my thoughts on it very soon!
Luna does sound amazing sonically. It still has to catch. Up in other areas to be a solid contender for creating music. If they make it where you can use non-UA interfaces I could stop having to convert the Luna files to collaborate with other producers/band mates
Studio one pro for me all day
Imma tell u right now…. If Yaahn leave Logic for Ableton…. The YT Logic community gonna have to file bankruptcy!! 🤣🤣🤣
Luna
How did I miss this live😒🤔
1:06:13 - Letters in a Bottle all done in Ableton. 🤯
Studio One, imo, sounds great when the Audio has been created somewhere else and the audio is coming in to S1. When I create in S1, I hate the way it sounds.
Vaughn “y’all don’t read y’all bibles” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Quick question for you do you like personas Atom? Part of the idea of it, and have you ever considered using it
I had one for a while…didn’t care for it much…it really didn’t win me over…I ended up going back to maschine
You know where the Powver is…. 59:42 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No love for Digital performer 11?
The man with a glass is like Lecrae
2
Yaahn fell asleep
Omni don't NEVER go on sale lol I have Omni, Keyscape and Trillian... all must haves.... 🤣🤣🤣
👍
the ableton guy might just switch to studio one
Question for y'all? When you're mixing, What DAW do you hate to see STEMS from? For me, it's FL Studio.... their export STEMS is straight NASTY!!! #NoOffense 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mainly Logic with those _1 at the end of everything is very annoying and you can turn them off on export but nobody ever does lol…
What software did you use in streaming this video
Restream
no pro tools I'm out
Maybe I wasn’t clear. No one on ur panel representing what is still the most popular DAW, industry standard?? Come on fellas
