...and I love your music @OfficialMyronButler. It was great to have you in Swaziland a few years back. You had come with the Bishop TD Jakes and I was on the drums for the local choir from Swaziland. Would really appreciate to connect with you. Much love

Its rare I EVER watch an hour long video, but its great to watch someone expertly mixing this complex music that I love..kudos to JB for letting us get this sneak peak! I both learned and was affirmed.
The most interesting thing is that the use of plugins was very minimalistic compared to other mixing tutorials i've seen on youtube that i almost felt he was hiding some sauce from us but then the mix speaks for itself.
@@soulsweet17 that's what professional means. I do mix prep: de click, clip gain, do (gentle) surgical eq, bounce things down to a clean session with less tracks and start crafting the sound... The "problems" have been fixed before I start worrying about the aesthetics of the mix.
I really don't understand this yet, but I'm hoping I can come back to this video when I have better understanding to make the most of it. This is great stuff
I have watched this 3 times. I can bet all odds that Calvin Rodgers was behind that drum it. Weeew, the music is smooth. Great work Jon. This a whole meal.
Thank you soooo much for this. I have been looking for mixing tutorials specifically geared towards gospel music. More of this please 🙌🏾. New subscriber here.
interesting how you cut your toms rather than using a gate on them? I see the benefit of not using the gate but never thought doing it this way! good on you bro! I will try this
Super helpful. Really appreciate! And if you can share more acoustic live session(like just piano, acoustic guitar, vocal, ambience choir, I know you already have some) of worship music mixing tutorial, it will be really helpful.
@@ADAMAudioBerlin Please. I do worship music in a team in South korea and I am the only one who can do some mixing in our team. If you can share more start to finish mixing tutorial like this, I think it will be really helpful to many people! Thanks!
Wish he would've shown what verbs he was using. Or did I miss that? Either way, Jon is an amazing mix engineer. I was excited to see this! Salute Jon and Adam Audio!!!!!!
This is by far the BEST gospel mix video. I would love to get in contact with the engineer for a future project I would love to do and have mixed and mastered
Great video. Lately I've been taking this road more & more of being accurate and fine tuned with my plugins and my mixing decision. You did that well and the mix sounds great. Anyway... I studied music production and met someone with automaton like yours and asked him how he did it and he said all by hand and as you understand me trying it wasn't so succuss full... Would love a good tip of how to nail those tiny automations to make everything sound coherent and cohesive through out the whole song with all it's dynamic parts. Now I know I post it on adams audio page so I the person who is the video can't see it can you do me a favor and give me his contact so I can ask him straight? Thank you for watching John!
Gospel engineers are underrated. Been loving them from the Randy Poole and JohnJascz engineering they did for Commissioned back in the day.
Gospel is some of the most challenging music to mix! These engineers are extremely skilled at their craft.
Blass use to be John Jaszcz assistant engineer before he went on his own. So he studied from one of the greats!
that Commission stuff is mixed flawlessly. John Jascz is the man!!!
I have been searching for Gospel mixes and now I am here. Thanks goodness
I’m loving the string arrangement‼️‼️ somebody direct to whomever pieced together the aux. wow!
strings: Roy Cotton II
production: Kenneth Shelton

That let’s you know it was recorded very well!!
All of these mix videos are fake they get pre mixed stems and add one plugin to them.
That’s what separates the top folk. They get it correct from the beginning. You hear it from the best all time time. Get it correct at the source.
