    Sorry some how I printed it before finishing, but I was talk about your shout out the guys doing the live video feed from the diamond and you were showing the camera and microphone on the building. And you talked about a new diamond dyeing installed and they showed it being done from start to finish in less than a day and they had trains going over it. It was shown from the other side of the tracks from the building but I can't remember I don't think it was you but the guys you gave the shout out to. You are a true rail fan my friend and a person can tell your love of trains from your videos! I'll bet you loved them as a little boy as I was having lived near two railroads we grew up playing on and around the tracks all the time!

    Just let you know, Not all Reefers are loaded and running. Sometimes they can be empty and running, as It is a requirement of the producer, to have the on-route rail-car at a Preset Temperature long before loading can begin. So from the time they pickup the car, fill the fuel tanks and fire up the reefer engines, and set the temperature, to the Producers Request. It is that time frame, that is required by then to load. You are correct, as it can still be loaded on-route to be unloaded. But, the reasoning behind it, is that it take time to bring the inside temperatures down to the required Temperature needed too load. And I think you can understand why. Great video, I enjoy them from up here in Ontario Canada.

      @phillyslasher It'll take another 60+ years to see if the GEVO has the same endurance as the venerable old Geeps, but I am glad to see GE struggle to come out on top. It's been a long hard road for them. Now, if they didn't all look alike, like the 40 series of old. :D

    • @SilverCometMedia
      @SilverCometMedia 4 роки тому

      phillyslasher GEVOs are better railroading locomotives, more fuel efficient and better haulage. I myself love seeing EMD just because they aren’t as common any more with GE making better locos. Also I love the K5LLA on SD70ACes. But for RR employees GEVOs ride better.

    The nice thing about the Virtual Railfan camera at Plant City is that it keeps 12 hours of video, so it is possible to scroll back until a train is spotted in the little preview window. I saw two freights headed north, the Amtrak headed into Tampa, and a second freight turning from south to east on the curve.

  • @freebrickproductions
    @freebrickproductions 4 роки тому +1

    Great video and catches! Love seeing all of those older EMDs leading. Up here on the S&NA North, it feels like just about every train has a GEVO leading due to the large number of trains around here that require DPUs these days...

    Another well crafted video as usual. A tidbit of info at the 2:15. An absolute signal displaying "Stop" can be passed without Dispatcher permission. This can only be done for a signal like Market where there is no power operated switch involved (or diamond for that matter), and for the single purpose of coupling back to your train immediately on the other side of it. You must first stop at the signal, then you can proceed by at restricted speed to couple to your train. Cheers.

    • @distantsignal

    Here in Eugene, Oregon, we only have a few diamonds....lol all of which are dated back to the turn of the 20th century!!!
    Due to the mountainous terrain as well as overall history of the region, it is extremely hard to find rails that cross each other’s paths; let alone two ctc-protected main-lines crossing like that.

    Hello from Jacksonville! I love your videos, and am a new railfan. I watch a lot of Virtual Railfan videos and saw your railroad sign video.

    Okay, seeing SD40-2's on a road freight is awesome. Having them leading is even better! Admittedly a bit weird that Q452 is all empty racks though
