Your podcast should be mandatory listening for high-school or college health class (for all genders)!! Thank you for speaking out!! 🙏🏻💜
So relatable!! Going through this situation myself… 10+ years. Similar situation with doctors focusing on my chronic health red herring, telling me to fix that and baby would follow. Only it didn’t, and I didn’t find out until late in the game that we would have needed IVF the whole time- wasted so much time. :-(

@TimandCeleste vloged their long struggle with infertility. Every story is different, but their story had lots of ups and downs. Worth checking out ❤

I'm hooked! You mentioned in this episode how Todd had to wait 3 months for new sperm (spermatogenesis). My husband is infertile, and we've been trying for 3 years with male fertility medication. We schedule periodic sperm tests to match new sperm growth - something I previously knew nothing about.
Testing gets so stressful. A lot of times, the ovulation window makes sex life feel so programmed. Did you and Todd ever experience this?

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! It is real and helpful. I have gone through 4 miscarriages and am thinking about what’s next and if I should do IVF

    1. NO dog people are weird! ❤
    2. You two are doing an amazing job of demystifying this topic with grace & humor, but the reality of your agonizing journey is just 💔💔💔.

Not sure if I missed something, but I am curious about the reasoning behind starting on IVF prior to trying to conceive naturally. I thought that fertility doctors only suggested evaluation/intervention if a couple had been trying for 1-1.5 years without success.

IIRC, she said after talking to a friend about infertility, she kind of panicked and wanted to get “insurance” aka embryos for when they would be ready to get pregnant. But yea, at least in my case, we couldn’t get a referral to see a reproductive endocrinologist until after trying naturally for 1 year.

They discuss that in detail in Episode 1.

You don’t need a referal to get into an ivf door, women can choose to go at any time but usually yes docs don’t suggest to go to a fertiiity specialist until a couple has not conceived after trying for 1 year unsuccesfullu but if woman is a little order like 35 docs can choose to help you look further into getting help if trying for only 6 months
