Limit Breeeeak! Also I like how you didn't even mention the Reaper upgrade in the video. I, too, treat it as if it doesn't even exist. If you have enough strength scaling, there is no point to upgrade the card in the first place and if you struggle with strength scaling there are more important cards to upgrade than a card that exhausts itself after use. Honestly, I wish the upgrade would instead lower the mana cost.
This video style is so much better than a tier list because it goes more in depth to card and relic interactions but what everyone needs is a streamer to go thru every enemy with the bestiary mod cause most players dont know the move sets or enemy interactions and it completely changes the game
I think my favorite boss killing strategy eith ironclad is to use barricade and impervious and other blocks to build up obscene block and then spam body slam
Balatro made me try this game coz I never played a deck builder before. I sucked and had no idea. Before uninstalling I watched a few of your vids on the Ironclad and on my 8th attempt I got to the heart with him! Mostly defence. I can’t remember card names but basically three cards I built around. One made defence not go away, one attacked a rando enemy when I gained block, one gave block when I exhausted. Then I got rid of a bunch of attacks. Git cards that allowed me to shuffle through a lot of cards. Two cards gave me attack equal to my block. And also that one that doubles my block. Sometimes I almost died but once I went through my cards once the rest made me literally invincible! Thanks for the help and now I’m learning the next character with your vids!
Just getting to the heart on 8th attempt is nice. Thar means you beat the sulent and defect rather fast as well. You found the barricade/entench/juggernaut combo. It has a slow start, but unbeatable once you get it going.
I love me some corruption. The interaction with dead branch isn't even necessary, I just pick it every time I see it because corruption decks are so fun. I love any strategy that can turbo out a bunch of cards and basically reach your win con on turn 1.
@Jeff Talbot honestly I'm not even worried to take it anymore because of my change in playstyle. I will gladly take dark embrace or feel no pain with no exhaust synergies because it is so potentially powerful, even in act one.
Not a very popular one, but I LOVE Berserk. I latched on to it very early into my STS career and I love using it, especially with Clockwork Souvenir or Odd Mushroom, and in Runic Pyramid decks it's free energy against some enemies, Other good ones are the usual suspects, Feed, Limit Break, Immolate, and Exhume
it's so hard for me to make juggernaut work without a feel no pain. Really painful that its upgrade ups its damage and doesn't reduce it to 1 cost. If it did, I probably take it more often than I do (almost never)
I like Barricade (especially with firebreathing and power through) a lot. All the junk enemies put in my deck and power throughs put in my deck become offense while I sit behind a wall. Limit break is fun too
Yess!! I like these discussion of the cards a lot. Very interesting and helpful I hope after this rare card series, we will get an uncommon series too :)
I completed a run with a slim deck, demon form, inflame and multiple anger cards, filling my deck with free attacks as the fight went on. After strength builds, anger starts hitting for huge amounts for free, but keeps multiplying, leaving all the energy for blocks. Scaled quickly. Easy win.
Corruption + Barricade is a lot of fun. Corruption to make everything 0 cost and then you just front-load all your block for the rest of the combat on the next turn when you play Barricade. Then your block is all taken care of and you then have only attacks left in your deck.
I've been playing card games for decades now. A mentor once said "card draw is almost always the best choice. You now have more choices." -almost is as long as you can still pay without discarding it all. Unless cycling was the goal.
I used upgraded limit break to gain 76 strength during combat with fading spider lookin’ dude that dies in 5 turns (as watcher with prismatic shard using infinite) I wiped the floor with ‘Im
Berserk can be pretty good with a source of Intangible in the deck because the extra damage becomes irrelevant. Still a fairly weak upside of 1 energy per turn but the downside is greatly mitigated.
Wait, Double Tap works with Whirlwind? My beginner understanding of the mechanics was that the first Whirlwind will use all your energy and the second one, on 0 energy, will do nothing. But if that combo works, it is for sure a godly one.
Does work with Whirlwind, but doesn't work with Fiend Fire (unless you have Dark Embrace, in which case the second Fiend Fire will exhaust all the cards you drew off Dark Embrace).
self forming clay deserved a mention with juggernaut, especially since it triggers from your self harming effects as well for excellent full circle synergy that gives you strength, block, draw, energy and passive damage taps im a deck built around self damage card benfits
To quote Yurnero: I'm the juggernaut, bitch. Jugger + FnP and medbox/corruption/FiendFire is absurdly fun, and fairly strong. Slap a dualwield or 2 on the FnP and go bonkers!
What's your favorite Ironclad rare card and why? Comment below!
Feed, coz max hp is life. XD
Berserk. I know I shouldn't but I love it so much. Especially when I get pellets.
Corruption. You can go crazy, go stupid
If you’d asked me when I started it was demon form but now it’s limit break. That card is absolutely busted!
Limit Breeeeak!

Once i got juggernaut on a frost orb defect through prismatic shard. It was insane.
Lol you made your frost orbs be also lightning orbs

Remember not to build block early game. At the start of the run you want to maximize offense
@@tomekk.1889 ok. Thanks for the tip!

that chair is the most comfortable ive seen in my life
I freely admit I am a scrubby Demon Form boi
Demon Form is epic
Big fan of Double Tap. Even unupgraded, it's a 1 energy copy of your favorite attack. Scales extremely well with a bunch of energy and a Whirlwind.

Berserk is too punishing at higher ascension.
Juggernaut single-handily makes “oops, all block” decks viable. Easily my favorite rare for Ironclad.
Body slam and barricade does great job at that too.
it's so hard for me to make juggernaut work without a feel no pain. Really painful that its upgrade ups its damage and doesn't reduce it to 1 cost. If it did, I probably take it more often than I do (almost never)
Just recently made it to a20 and juggernaut was not any part of that process
Single handedly? Ever tried barricade, entrench and body slam? Lmao
i feel like bodyslam does a way better job at that than juggernaut
I like Barricade (especially with firebreathing and power through) a lot. All the junk enemies put in my deck and power throughs put in my deck become offense while I sit behind a wall. Limit break is fun too
oh that is a nice wombo combo!
Demon form is an MVP for me. Allowed me to beat the heart. Also the Tungsten Rod.
Berserk won me my only 1 relic challenge by making up for the fact I couldn't take an energy relic :)
Yess!! I like these discussion of the cards a lot. Very interesting and helpful
I hope after this rare card series, we will get an uncommon series too :)
Juggernaut * self-forming clay feels like having a machine gun on your shield, particularly against the heart.
I completed a run with a slim deck, demon form, inflame and multiple anger cards, filling my deck with free attacks as the fight went on. After strength builds, anger starts hitting for huge amounts for free, but keeps multiplying, leaving all the energy for blocks. Scaled quickly. Easy win.
Impervious is goated
I had Juggernaut with Rage and Anger in my deck recently. Disgusting Attack - get Block - Attack because of that combo
Corruption + Barricade is a lot of fun. Corruption to make everything 0 cost and then you just front-load all your block for the rest of the combat on the next turn when you play Barricade.

Definitely Limit Break, especially when it's upgraded and combo'd with Flex and Demon Form.
limit break is definitely my favorite rare, enables so many crazy turn one boss kills. pommel strike and headbutt are pretty good too :)
I used upgraded limit break to gain 76 strength during combat with fading spider lookin’ dude that dies in 5 turns (as watcher with prismatic shard using infinite) I wiped the floor with ‘Im
Easy for me. I love Corruption so much!
Double tap anger deck is fantastic and you passed right over it! :)
Berserk can be pretty good with a source of Intangible in the deck because the extra damage becomes irrelevant. Still a fairly weak upside of 1 energy per turn but the downside is greatly mitigated.
Imagine if the Watcher had Bludgeon without having to get it from Foreign Influence or gamble on Prismatic Shard
Just you know 84 damage in wrath when upgraded
It's offering for me, no explanation required

this also works with burst and malaise/doppelgänger on the silent btw
@@KrivitskyMDead Branch, Double Tapped Fiend Fire is a fun combo as well.

Can you please make one for uncommon cards?
You have really helped my runs!
I had a build that focused on body slam barricade and panic button
I love early Corruption. If I see it period I know I’ve won the run. If I see it early I know I’m about to completely break the run.
I cannot find the video about Ironclad uncommon cards. Could you post one?
Im always a Barricade boi
Love these videos! Can't wait for the others. Will you be making them for uncommon and non-class cards as well?
Hey, would you like to do a tierlist for all cards and classes?
i like demon form gives scaling
I'm a sucker for Double Tap
runic cube + brutality is ridiculously strong lol
Corruption and Exhume :)
did you ever do uncommons?
Why no uncommon video?
To quote Yurnero: I'm the juggernaut, bitch. Jugger + FnP and medbox/corruption/FiendFire is absurdly fun, and fairly strong. Slap a dualwield or 2 on the FnP and go bonkers!
FIEND FIRE GO BOOOOOM
Should one upgrade Offering?
Ive had best luck with demonform, or juggernaut. although i havent beaten the spire with ironclad lol
Limit break is boner inducing.. until you get to a3 and realize you have no str to double. Womp womp!
Where is the uncommon card video!!! I must know all the the secrets you have!!@@@!!!
Limit brake
Nice video but I thought you were gonna do the uncommon cards first.
