Fuel Injector Clinic 1100cc vs Injector Dynamics 1300cc flow test - 10% flow difference

As the result of a discussion on NASIOC where a user inquired about the difference in flow rate of these injectors, we ran a basic test to show visually what these injectors flow under the same test conditions. The results in this test found a 10% difference in average flow between the two injector types.

There's so many different scenarios where even the 1100cc ones can pump out more than the 1300cc ones if it's in a car. Should make a new video to show flow matched ones on higher lbs bc some pumps aren't 43lb pumps. Just think it might be interesting to see the differences when it's more of a controlled scenario. (not that it wasn't a controlled scenario already)

A test of the same competing sizes should also be done with low pulse width / idle / around 2ms and give them enough time to almost reach the top. Then compare accuracy of the two brands, maybe even with a test of four matched FIC vs four matched ID.
I have a set of "generic" bosch injectors that were tested recently and am curious as to how the test compared to the original test results included with the injectors as new.

That fuel pressure is fluctuating a lot, the injectors need a more stable supply. Seems that machine is better suited to static flow of oem sized injectors. There are several factors that come into play other than static flow, either way.

We were just comparing the actual flow rates between the two injectors here to show that they are closer in flow than it may have appeared by their named sizes. It has come up enough that calling ours 1100s is a bit modest and we have actually just updated their name to refer to them as 1200s now which helps them to fit more in line in how they compare to both our 1000cc injectors as well as other injectors such as the ID1300.
Same great FIC injector, more accurate name. Hopefully this removes some of the confusion with our customers!

@@FuelInjectorClinic Well considering they are basically the same identical Bosch injectors then I don't see why anyone would be neither surprised nor impressed. 🤦‍♂️

The FIC injectors used in this example were not taken from a matched set, they were pulled out of a case of injectors before any injector characterization or matching had been completed since that was not the objective of this test. We only wanted to compare flow rates from one model injector to another.

You are forgetting to add that you have 2 Injectors on the left that are ....... And 2 on the right that are ..... am I correct?
