Geat video. I left E85 in my ID2000s as well for 6 months during a rebuild and the injectors were gone. ID tried to clean them, couldn't save 3 of them ... they replaced all 4 of mine for a VERY reasonable price ... which they didn't have to do. That's one big reason to run ID, as the customer service goes BEYOND what's necessary. Please do check with them on their latest versions, I know they were working with Bosch to get some stainless or titanium valves instead of those iron/steel valves in the injectors (the ID1000s use rubber valves so no issue with E85) ... I do exactly as you stated, I run a tank of normal gas before shutting down for the season. I think I leave my car 3 weeks MAX on E85 before I run it again ... don't leave it for more than 2 weeks IMO without running it, else run gas through them.
This literally just happened to me today. My car sat for 4 months during a rebuild and 3 out of 4 of my ID2000's were stuck. Bought some Bosch ones for now but they got the car running so im happy.

You don't seem to mention that they are dynamically tested & matched not just matched based on peak flow alone like most shops do.
I've understood that Bosch 2000cc injector is cng injector that has polymer seal in the needle that doesn't like gasoline at all but works with E85 in practice. Good to know they also rust on E85
In my experience, it's not a big deal to "leave ethanol in the injectors"... as long as they're still in the fuel rail, with fuel sitting behind/inside them. Where the issue arises is when you leave them on a bench for a while without fully cleaning them out. I had one lock up after being on my bench for a couple weeks, and i had to replace it. I've had the same set in my car for 2 years now, and the car recently fired right up with no issue after not having been started for 4-5 months. It's sat for 2-3 months at a time in the past and fired right up as well.
Do they somehow rust internally because of the water suspended in the e85? I thought all high performance injectors would have stainless internals by now...
Looking at Clinics 1200cc injectors. ID1300's are just past my budget. Do you think FIC's data is good? They claim to be static and dynamic flow matched.
this issue can be eliminated by adding 1/2 ounce e-fuel top lube per gallon fuel, which you should be running with e-fuel regardless
if using premix on a rotary engine, add this in addition to the premix amount

don’t pay injector dynamics 3x the price (of injector) because they’re matched
plenty of small injector shops can do the same for less than twice the price (of injector)
injector dynamics are good if you have plenty of money, but don’t think a matched bosch injector is worse in anyway
A mean if all they did was sort/match bosch injectors why such high prices.
Pay so much for quality control?... are we to believe bosch don't match injectors?
My ID2000 on my secondary works just fine on e85. It been almost 2 years now.
Did your injectors sit for a while.
It’s been sitting for almost 6 months and it still fires up and runs with e85.

No sir!!! I use fuel lab 6 micron filter with no issue.

From my experience the 2150 is not doing so good for me on pump
My Id 1700 injectors seized up after a day of sitting with e85 and it couldn’t even make a single dyno pull.

E85 doesnt absorb more water than gas does, it just has more ability to absorb water. Also, I've never had an issue with the CNG injectors myself, but I've had to clean and fix ID CNG injectors that have failed a few times. In my case they are usually ID injectors with cut difusers that lost their stainless properties, but the 2000s are not common failures for me.
Just watched a guy put the ID 2000 In a 2003 or 2004 GTI 1.8 t only modes to the 220k mile car and after The install of the ID injectors The motor is totally stock top to bottom beside besides a downpipe straight pipe straight pipe exhaust in a big Turbo that is it Just made 566 horsepower over 500 pounds of foot torque And hes not done tuning yet lol AWP motor
Why are you testing the fuel pressure at virtually 0 psi?
can't ya just run some upper end lube in fuel oil based wont let it rust.

The reason is cause they are not stainless internal the new id and fic are stainless
