I tried this x I don't shampoo, only use conditioner to wash my hair, mask for 5 minutes and rub some sweet almond oil in the ends - my hair has never been better, but I RECOMMEND THIS for styling 👍! Quick, easy on the hair and lovely results (shoulder length hair) 💕💯💪

    • @61cheezil

I've heard the sweet almond oil is amazing, but I can't find it here! I've started using a Sukin hair oil ($17 a bottle) & find i need a lot less of it than the Moroccan Oil & it feels amazing for days (where I needed Moroc or coconut oil every day before I started using the Sukin one).
I'm also using the Sukin Hydrating shampoo & conditioner & hard 2 break away from that brand now. I stopped using a brush about a year ago (& only comb my hair now, seems to help also) & I find better results sleeping on my wet hair (wash at night time & put in a pony tail with 3 ties until it actually dries) rather than drying it out in weather etc. Would show a pic but no option to put pics in comments

This is a really easy routine for anyone with hair in this range of length. I haven't tried it because I do curly girl but I'd hop on this right away as others have said they are going to do. Her hair is NOT too long for her or anyone for that matter. This is a sore point for me and a myth our grandmothers and over zealous hairdressers perpetuated. I asked my husband if he thought her hair was too long and he said no. So Shelley, you rock that hair and keep doing your workouts. 💖

Doing the curly girl method has been amazing for my hair. Gray hair can be quite dry and the dyed part of my hair was so damaged by the years of dyeing. All of the Curly Girl Method products are natural, healthy and moisturizing. How can that go wrong?

I use biotin shampoo/conditioner which has humidity control. I live in West Tennessee and it humid here year around. Do you have a diffuser for your hair dryer? That really helps to control frizz. I also use a round brush dryer mostly for styling my Shirley Temple curls. It gives me that “blow out” style. I have had a lot of compliments. What has also helped is I take biotin supplement which is for hair, nails and skin. My skin is clear, my nails are growing and my hair looks healthier than what we expected. Usually after chemo your hair grows back brittle and dryer than before.

Yup! That is my hair, especially in this damp, winter weather. I tried this today and my hair turned into little springs, so I think I will just stick with using the curling rod without the pins...like your video on "beachy waves". My hair takes a curl very quickly. I also use Argan oil...just a tiny bit goes a long way, but really helps. Also, around here, our water is very hard. I use a Culligan water softener shower head that has cartridges that get changed every few months. That makes a huge difference in my level of frizz. AND, I never use a hairbrush. I learned that from a really good stylist. I use just a wide-toothed comb and remove all knots by hand, loosening them up and untangling gently. Every hair is a fragile fiber and brushes tend to tear a lot of hair out. Even natural bristle brushes! Thank you for the tips though.

Your hair is always so beautiful. I have naturally curly hair so these steps won't work for me, but something anti frizz is always nice. Curly hair tends to get frizzy on top. Something for frizz control and always a gel works best for me.

I had chemo treatment and lost all my hair. Since it has grown back I have not used any chemicals on my hair. To help my hair to grow I take Biotin and vitamin C supplements plus use biotin shampoo/conditioner. I use my diffuser on my hair dryer then a round brush blow dryer using L’Oreal heat protectant. I have a lot of volume and my hair will curl easily even though it not as thick as it use to be. Using a diffuser also cuts down on dry time because of the disbursement of air.
I love your technique and need a bigger curling iron. My daughter moved and so did my 2 inch curling iron. Lol.

Hi Schellea. Thank you for the hair tips. Mine is exactly like yrs except I’m a brunette. My routine- I wash and condition my hair 2ce a week. After I do this I wrap my hair in a micro towel and leave it wrapped for about 20-30 minutes while I do my skincare and makeup. I then unwrap my hair , make a part with my wide tooth comb that my sister in law bought me in the early 80s😂🤣. I tip my head upside down and scrunch in 10 pumps of argon oil as my hair is super thick. It never looks oily as my hair seems to absorb it all. After putting it through the ends as well, I comb it to my crown and make a cool bun. I go to work like this and take it out when I get home. After I take it out and scrunch it every now and then, it has a beautiful curl. I never brush it as it frizzes- only brush every 10 week just before I go to the hairdressers. I never have knots as I usually wear my hair up. Hope you got my Xmas card lovely lady. Sending you sunshine from Qld xxx🌞🌺🧘🏽‍♀️💖

Your hair would look fab at shoulder length because when you were talking about the curling iron it looked shorter because of how it was lying.

I loved your turotorial, however, for those of us beginners, it gets confusing when you're using different sprays to curl your hair, in the front and the back! Please make another video simplifying the steps. I love your awesome videos. Thank you~
