I'm 58 and have been putting my makeup on like I was still 20... talk about a hot mess!! I've been practicing your techniques and see a huge difference. I watch them more than once until I get the right look. Thank you! Look forward to more.
Just watching and following your video makes me feel beautiful. I am 51 years old . I need help to look beautiful . I try smiling with my eyes and it help me so much to feel beautiful. Thank you! 💖
You are a beautiful lady inside and out. Your ability to teach is awesome and flawless just like your makeup. Such a kind and positive personality. The delivery was spot on!
Omg. I was surprised to learn not to use a matte blush. The palettes I have the blush is matte, and highlights are very sparkly. Now I know what to look for in a blush. Thank you. Yes, if I smile apply blush and relax my face I have no cheeks. My face sinks in. No more fat age took care of that. Again thank you. I love the captions. Your the only one that has this. 👏 Judy.
I do not get the highlighter craze - not a great look on any age in my opinion YET when you demoed the NON sparkle highlighter it worked. Thanks for great tips that are real help for us ladies over 50!
You are my Aussie Hero!! I am 43 and I really enjoy the wisdom that you share with us. This is the sweetest, most helpful makeup/check-up from the neck-up tutorial. Thank you!!
This has been such a helpful video for me. I will be 53 this Christmas and have been perpetually puzzled about where to apply blusher. Lots of talk about the ‘apples’ of the cheeks but I am puzzled where they are. I followed all the tips here and it’s a revelation! Thank you so much - no longer a mystery.
I love the few videos I've seen of yours. What I noticed is that your suggestions for "older women" are still youthful and fun. I've seen other videos, and it seems like once you hit 40 or 50, you can't wear anything fun or use anything other than earth tones. I'm glad you offered up some fun liner suggestions in another video. I might be over 50, but I've been kind of an "alternative" soul who doesn't like being told what to do appearance-wise, lol!
For a lady who is not a make-up artist, you have done a wonderful job explaining the logic and showing how we can all make those products work for us and not age us...Hugs...nice work sweetie...
Discovered your channel in Jan this year. I'm 51 and you obviously look fab, doing your exercises daily and like your little tips on make up too. First time in 5 years I've actually enjoyed exercising. So easy to follow with your format.
You inherited your mom's beauty😊. Thank you for these tips as I've been wondering how to make my contouring look more natural. Always look forward to each of your videos!

I’m now in my mid 50s and I have used your tutorials to get my look and style back on track. With this tutorial I’ve finally fine tuned my blush technique too. I get lots of compliments around my youthful look. So thank you for all your tips and tutorials. Love🙏 your work! 👍✌️
You obviously have smooth pretty skin without makeup. Good genes! I wish there was truly a UA-cam for us over 70. I love wearing makeup. It’s so subtle, you can’t see. I’m in fear of looking horrible.
I just found your channel a week or so ago and I love it! Thank you for all of the helpful tips and tricks. I bought some of the makeup you recommended and just today I received a compliment from a coworker on how nice my makeup looked. I am still learning, but thank you so much.
Would you consider making a video for cream blush on a stick, or do you still put it on your fingers first? I live in a desert, and that dryness is very challenging for my skin. It was my understanding that cream blush and eyeshadow would be better in that situation. However, I have trouble controlling the cream blush. I dot some on, and then rub it in with my fingers. That makes it tend to go a bit wider of an area than I would like. Thank you for these tutorials. They are so helpful, and you have a lovely, supportive demeanor.
Oh thank you Shelley that was so helpful. Ive stayed away from contour. Ive watched a million videos but just never felt 'I got it' but I did with your video. And thx for the affordable options for the contour and highlight. I really appreciate that you are a high end girl but haven't forgotten humility and grace. You're precious. Thank you x
You are FABULOUS!!!Seriously I will be 54 in April and I am trying to redo the way I do my makeup. Ergo highlight contour etc and thanks to you I can experiment and try before I go out again and my makeup will look flawless .... well I hope so anyway. Lol. Thanks again for your awesome tutorial. 😎😎😎
I’m guilty of all of the don’t do’s! I just haven’t been able to get the cheek applications down. Thanks for the tutorial. I’ll try and follow these guidelines!
Wow. That was amazing. I kept moving to either side of your face, and I couldn't believe the difference. It explains why you see much older women with the blush hanging low: I used to wonder, but now I see they've probably been taught to 'smile' before applying. Also, thanks about the contour being only finger width. That was puzzling me although I'd got the colour right. Yes, the flawless filter is lovely stuff isn't it? X
Hi Lovely Schellea. What a wonderful vid. This was so helpful. I was originally a trained makeup artist in the 80s, and helped my husband, as we had our own photography business, doing wedding and family portraiture. I’d do all the make up, but I was stuck in the 80s, if you know what I mean. I found this so helpful and precise, which is wonderful. One of my fave cheek colours which comes with highlighter and shade, is The Napoleon Perdis 3 in 1, which I feel has the perfect balance. I love your choices too. So subtle, like a healthy glow. Love it. Did you find that lippie I was telling you about? If not, I’ll send you one, next time I’m in Target . Sending sunshine to you xx🌸🌻🌞
I really appreciate how slowly and in what detail you explain and show us what you are doing, very helpful. Although I did see the difference in the 2 sides of your face with respect to the highlighter, I still don't think I quite understand how to do it differently, I think maybe because that part of the face is so small, it must be even more subtle. Some feedback, if I may, is that - for me - your hair is so full and voluminous around your face that I find it makes it more difficult to see what you're doing or what the result is. Would it be possible for these kinds of up close and personal tutorials (which I love) to pull your hair back for the whole tutorial? Many thanks XO
Hi Maureen Bouey! Thanks so much for watching and your tie back my hair suggestion...Just use a very small amount of highlight right on top of your cheek bone...You may not notice it very much but your face will light up when the light hits your cheeks...have a beautiful weekend 💕

This is a very good explanation! Do you have a video on how best to apply bronzer for mature ladies? I am probably not doing a good job of this!!! Thank you.
Thank you for these tips. I don't really put make up because I don't know how to do it but these tips will encourage me to try something for my new look.
Awesome advice! I’m 60 now and it’s nice to know I’ve been doing so many things right over the years! I grew up in a household full of hairdressers and makeup artists. Been telling my girlfriends then my daughters about lash curlers and Maybelline mascara since I was 14 years old. Still use both actually. Keep the great tips coming! Thank you!!
I love your videos. I'm an "over 50" and too many of the videos for my age look too "made up" but yours make you look healthy and youthful and natural.
I work for a makeup company. I’ve always "played" with my makeup to see what looks good and what looks horrid. You nail what looks good every time. I love that you also show people what doesn’t look so great, it really does pay to do it wrong as well as right so you see for yourself what looks best on you.
wow another fab video, I am learning so much from you, I have only ever used a single colour blush nothing to create the shadows or highlight my cheeks..................I really must have been looking hideous when going out.
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing these makeup tips. I’ve been making a hash of things for years but now with your help I’m feeling more confident and looking much better 😊 I’m a new subscriber to your channel and recently tried your eye shadow tips - my eyes now look great when I’m wearing makeup. Keep up your great work!
Hi Elaine Medley and a warm welcome to fabulous50s! I'm so happy you are feeling more confident xx Thanks so much for watching and have an amazing weekend 💕
Strobing stick or master chrome ? Which maybelline product did you use to highlite? You didnt say but I’d love to try the one thats not glittery. Loved the video! Im going to try the revlon contour as well. I always thought you use a bronzer for that. So happy to learn and you are a wonderful teacher 👍👍
Thank you so much for helping us older women to learn how to put our makeup on the correct way. I really appreciate it and I'm sure there's alot of other women who appreciate it also. I hope you have a Blessed and Wonderful Holiday Season. With the way it is in alot of our countries we want be able to spend it with family or friends. I have a lot of health issues and I can't risk being around people but at least maybe everyone will still be with us when this time comes around in 2021.
It would be nice for you to do a video on positive mindset on getting older. I am 51 and having a hard time trying to stay positive about getting older. Don’t feel like myself and not motivated and physically feeling fatigued. Any suggestions?
Hi Glory Irizarry! Im sorry you are not feeling great...It can be a real struggle so I have added a link here for some videos that may help ❤ ua-cam.com/play/PL32YrxpjeHf69KsOPSEnA_V6Z9gYvLAYy.html
fabulous50s hi Schellea: thank you for your response and videos. I’m 51 and have 2 grown adults and 2 grand children. My family constantly tells me how negative I am. I have no energy and feel that my life is over. I see myself physically changing and my face looks so different. I work at a middle school and feel that my life is just robotic and no excitement. I admire the way you look and the way you seem on video. I aspire to be just like you with looking forward to life and living instead of thinking of the past. I lost my brothers and mom at an early age and can’t get them off my mind. Are there any supplements you take that help with depression or menopause? I admire that you have your own company and I’ve been thinking of ways that I can do my own thing but don’t know what that is. I love fashion, makeup and beauty. Please help me get out of this funk. Any suggestions?
Great picture of your mom . I have really enjoyed watching your videos . Also I think your probably just as sweet in person as you are in your videos. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I really enjoyed your video. You did a wonderful job explaining the makeup techniques for women over 50. I will be 55 this year but my new neighbor thought I was in my early 40's, thank you Micropen! Anyway, I was definitely applying my blush and highlighter all wrong so thank you for the tutorial! I can't wait to try your technique. I never use contour only because I have really high cheekbones ( which drive me crazy) sometimes I wish my face were just round, but I can't change. As I have gotten older they have gotten more hollow in the cheek so I also have to keep a little extra weight on so I don't get too gaunt. I can't believe sometimes the struggles we women over 50 have! Thanks again and looking forward to watching all of your videos!
I have never used the contour on my cheeks. I'm 57 and have only used just a powder blush in rose. I'm gonna try the contour but am confused. Is it one color below your blush color? Also what do your put on the brush to blend it with? Love your channel!
Loved seeing your mum. Loved the tips (Outstanding! I found myself feeling my cheeks along with you to find the right spots!) Love the dress. Love that you made it yourself. And love YOU! - xx, Carla
Thanks beautiful Carla! My Mum would have loved to have the opportunity I have, getting to know so many amazing women like yourself from around the whole world...Sending you love ❤️
Thank you so much for these tips. Very helpful. I just turned 50 and i love your channel. Also great tip for the dress. This is also a hobby of my to make things for myself.
Thumbs down peeps why? Wonderful video, have started using your techniques and am thrilled with the results! Slowly working through your videos. Big thumbs up! Karen, UK.
Once again you nailed it. Some great tips there. . I love the maybelline highlighter. It's so soft and silky very affordable as well. I cannot afford Charlotte Tilbury. Sadly. But there are still great affordable products out there. One trick im sure you have up your sleeve is how to conceal darkness under the eyes. All of my relatives and girls have it. Even though we drink lots of water and eat well. I've tried so many things but nothing works. Plus with the hot flushes my makeup seems to slide off. Especially in this Queensland heat. Any tips there on how to set it without to much powder? I had to laugh because even the bad side you did you still looked 40. . It's amazing. I know you did a great tutorial on eyeshadow but i cannot do it. My eyes are quiet hooded. So any tips would be greatly appreciated. Great information there. Yet again you look stunning and flawless and I love the dress. 😘
@@ArtsyCupcake absolutely. I do love maybelline. There's a loreal mascara I brought the other day half price at the pharmacy and its the best mascara ive ever brought. It makes your lashes so long.
Hi Tarleah Jade! Thanks for watching...I have found a perfect dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury...I will need to test a bit longer and then I will let you know...Thanks for the video suggestions, I will include all those in upcoming videos...I know how humid it must be for you right now...It would be hard to keep any product on your face...Thanks for taking the time to comment 😘
Hi hon, I'll be 50 on September 28th. I love your videos! Thank You! You are so beautiful and sweet! ♥️💐 I love when you show drugstore products! I'm a nurse and I was in a horrible car accident and still can't work because of my back. Money is so extremely tight. Although it wasn't my fault, I'm still suffering! Thank You so very much! God Bless!
Hi! I am 53 years young and am a true makeup enthusiast. My profession as a Registeted Nurse specializing in Hospice is quit serious and at times depressing. My love of makeup has given me another positive creative fun outlet... so I am now an amateur makeup artist in our little town... getting young girls ready for recitals... pageants and dances... which I love. I learn as much as I can from UA-cam on current trends etc for ladies... let's say under 21. But what I need advice on is for myself... and women my age. I loved this video today!!! So very helpful! I could really tell a difference in the 2 sides. What I need help with personally... if you or any of your lovely subscribers would be willing to give suggestions I would be much obliged! As I said I am 53... and I have a lot of texture on my skin. It isn't lines and wrinkles it is from having acne from puberty that started around age 11 until I was in my late 20's. I need help finding the best foundation for covering acne scars on my cheeks... my worst area. Any tips or tricks? Best products? I also would love to wear an age appropriate soft highlight on top of my cheekbones but don't want to draw attention to any scars or texture. Would the highlighters you suggested today be okay for me too? Any help anybody could offer for someone with horrible skin like mine would be much appreciated. Love... light... peace... and blessings to all!! Jackie Rockey South Georgia USA
I have been watching Wayne Goss for years. He is the one that turned me on to Paula's Choice skincare. Thank you! I would love to check out your channel! Thanks!
Hi DolliesDaughter! Wow it sounds like you have created a fun nice for yourself...I love it...Can I suggest that you mix a small amount of highlighter with some foundation and pat this mixture on your cheek bones...The look is slightly softer and will gently highlight but not bring attention to your textured skin...very subtle...Are you using a prescription vitamin A? ❤️
Hi my name is Tracey, I'm 55 and Australian. I haven't got great skin and use Mirenesse 10 COLLAGEN CUSHION COMPACT FOUNDATION, it's not cheap $66 AUS, but I find it great. It's a cream foundation and it comes with it's own sponge applicator, I think you can buy it in America, but it ships however it maybe too expensive but check it out. Loreal or Maybelline had one similar which I found great but they changed packaging and in the meantime I went to this Mirenesse, but I find creme foundations to be better.
Hi Schillea I am very new to your site and I am 62. I’ve always refused to make up as I cant master it but your tutorials are great and easy to follow. Can I ask how to make old very heavy eyes pop behind glasses. Do you have a tutorial please?
I’m 44 so I’m not 50. However, I’m well on my way lol. I think your tips were awesomely informative! Thank you! Lots of love from Mississippi!! You definitely have a new subscriber here! 😘
I am 44 as well. I have been wearing my makeup the exact same way for 20+ years. I have pretty good genes and often get mistaken for much younger, but I feel like it's probably time to start wearing it differently. lol
Hi Schellea, I bought the galifornia girl blush.....it is amazing and it gives a nice subtle glow to the cheek without overdoing it! Love the recommendations 🤗 thank you!
Love your tutorials, they are so helpful! I think you look fabulous with wrong way makeup as well. 🌷 I do see the huge differences between them. Thanks as well for the product referrals, so helpful. I’ve been looking for some time for light makeup tutorials but most seem to be for young women who like a heavy made up look. Thanks for all your tips. Cheers!
Wonderful Wonderful videos. I have learned so much. I hadn't been wearing much make up lately because it doesn't look good on me anymore...64 now. I have new hope and will practice your techniques.

Been telling my girlfriends then my daughters about lash curlers and Maybelline mascara since I was 14 years old. Still use both actually. Keep the great tips coming! Thank you!!
Hi DANA sullivan! Thanks so much for watching and have a beautiful week 💕
Love your tutorials...very classy and brings out the beauty of over 50 in a smashing and elegant way! Cheers Schellea 🌹
Hey Andrea S! I'm happy you enjoyed the video...Have an amazing day 🤗
Thank you for the lesson. I’m so excited to play makeup again!!!
I love your videos. I'm an "over 50" and too many of the videos for my age look too "made up" but yours make you look healthy and youthful and natural.
Thanks COLLEEN Gilmartin! Have a fabulous day 🌸
Love the cheek blush and contour and highlight tips... I’ve been doing it wrong.
I work for a makeup company. I’ve always "played" with my makeup to see what looks good and what looks horrid. You nail what looks good every time. I love that you also show people what doesn’t look so great, it really does pay to do it wrong as well as right so you see for yourself what looks best on you.
Thanks for taking the time to comment Rei Jackson Have a great day 🌸
wow another fab video, I am learning so much from you, I have only ever used a single colour blush nothing to create the shadows or highlight my cheeks..................I really must have been looking hideous when going out.
Great. Thank you. What shade is CT flawless filter?
Hi suzi how are you doing over there ?
Hello dear how are you doing over there ?
Thank you so much for helping us older women to learn how to put our makeup on the correct way. I really appreciate it and I'm sure there's alot of other women who appreciate it also. I hope you have a Blessed and Wonderful Holiday Season. With the way it is in alot of our countries we want be able to spend it with family or friends. I have a lot of health issues and I can't risk being around people but at least maybe everyone will still be with us when this time comes around in 2021.
Hi dear how are you doing over there ?
Hello Kimberley..
How are you doing today?
I love your videos. Honestly, I knew my makeup was off so I always wore the minimal amount. I’m going to try to apply it this way now.
Hey Jackie Lee! I'm happy you enjoyed the video...Enjoy experimenting...Have an amazing day 🤗
Another great technique! Thank you Shellea!!
Hi Kathleen Reyes! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
Hi dear Kathleen how are you doing over there ?
Thank you. you are a natural beauty......you don't need much, if any make up. I really needed help with my blush application.
Rhonda Britt ❤️
Hey dear how are you doing over there ?
I just love your videos! So glad I found you! I've pretty much given up on makeup altogether. I'm about to give it another go.
Hi dear how are you doing over there ?
Hello dear Cathie how are you doing over there ?

Hey dear Melinda how are you doing over there ?
I have never used the contour on my cheeks. I'm 57 and have only used just a powder blush in rose. I'm gonna try the contour but am confused. Is it one color below your blush color? Also what do your put on the brush to blend it with? Love your channel!
Thanks for sharing i didnt know how to use the blush after this video I'm definitely going to try it have a blessed day 😘
Thanks so much for watching Zanele Galeng! Hope you have fun trying the blush 🙂Have a great weekend ❤️
My jaw dropped after hearing the tip about putting on the blush on the “apples” of the cheek. I never thought about gravity. Thank you!! 👏🏻👏🏻

I think a lot of the drugstore brands are even better than the expensive ones. I love Maybelline - always good products from them! 🍰💕Maria
@@ArtsyCupcake absolutely. I do love maybelline. There's a loreal mascara I brought the other day half price at the pharmacy and its the best mascara ive ever brought. It makes your lashes so long.
Use a primer first, then do all your makeup and set it with a good setting spray! Will work right through the hot flashes !!!
@@StungbySamantha thank you so much. I struggle with them badly. But mostly through the day. Even in air con I still have them. Horrid things.
God Bless!
Hello Marie how are you doing over there ?

Hello dear Anne how are you doing over there ?

I have a channel and am 40 years old, if you want to check it out! 🍰💕Maria
I would suggest exfoliation to get that natural glow!!! Then go ahead and wear any makeup trend you want that makes you feel beautiful!!!
GIIIIIRL, YOU ARE INDISPENSABLE!!!
Hi france bat! Thanks so much for your lovely comment... Have an amazing week 💕

Hi Stephanie Keith and a warm welcome to fabulous50s! I'm happy you are here...Thanks so much for watching and have an amazing week 💕
I am 44 as well. I have been wearing my makeup the exact same way for 20+ years. I have pretty good genes and often get mistaken for much younger, but I feel like it's probably time to start wearing it differently. lol
So informative. You look absolutely flawless!

Cheers!
