Full playthrough I think!
Im so discouraged. yesterday, I just played and reached the third main boss in the north, analogous to base game’s leyndell. And i am so confused man. The dmg i dealt at lvl 150 in ng is as small as that i dealt against Malenia ng+7 at lvl 10, or trina torch r1 against the same at high level, or inner isshin with demon bell and no kuro charm, or reflection and ng+7 & reflection demon hatred with same burdens. Not even isshin ng+7 has such high dmg resistance. Is this normal? Like you dont see yellow color of ER enemy health diminishing (or gray in sekiro)
Have you sought out Miquella's crosses? Maybe you just need a couple of Scadutree to get a bit stronger? For me so far the damage I deal is not too bad, but the enemies hit _really_ hard though. Like, endgame ridiculously strong hard 😅
@@WhimsyPsyche i just grabbed whatever i find on my way north. the grace says “scadutree blessing (4)”. So i think i was on 3.
Ikr. The damage is not ng level dmg. I went to renalla to increase my vig after the boss
Souls game best is tough to beat them 😂
I personally prefer just watching the UA-cam "Let's Play" style, so no streaming. It gives more way for your own thoughts and also gets you less distracted and you will play at your own pace without people trying to get you to go certain places or do certain things. It's just overall more "natural" feeling to me. Even if you end up missing something like an item, that's just part of the experience. And I'm sure if you miss something major people will point it out in the comments anyway.
I really like this style too. Recently watched a lets play of silent hill 2, and the streamer constantly looked and interacted with chat during critical parts of the game/story. Nearly threw my phone out of the window when the streamer started talking loudly at chat over the ending letter

I forgot to say but YES please let me know if you feel like I'm missing major things! I'll probably circle back everywhere but sometimes in Elden Ring there's the good stuff hidden behind particular quests steps and such 🤣 So we never know.

been having sooooo much fun playing through this, i also love how they are playing allot with vertical design in this dlc (how things are built on top or below the other) so happy i can watch how you are playing this one along all of us (vs me catching up on your original run recently)

I'm also on team let's play. I want to hear more of your thoughts on lore and story and feel that is best done when you can record focus a little more than with streaming. This DLC has been so hard but so fun. I went through main game with INT/DEX and decided to switch it up for the DLC to DEX/Faith focusing on blood loss and it's been great even if a challenge! Excited to see you play through it too Whimsy

i tend to always prefer the lets play styles, i sorta hate watching stream vods when the person is too focused on chat. i like hearing your thoughts.
I find the beast so disorienting because of the weird shape - you can't tell what it's doing. It reminds me of first stage Ludwig.
I really enjoy this video! I especially love your Let's Play episodes. I prefer them over live streaming because I often have a busy schedule, and I don't want to miss any of your content. 😭 But honestly, it's completely up to you. ❤️ I can only imagine how tiring it is to talk to a camera for us and receiving no response in return. 😭
I would prefer streaming for more interaction and small talk, if there are rules/moderators that keep chat under control if needed :) but only because you are not one to get distracted by chat or let chat control anything. I am fine with a let‘s play too though.

I went in with my new character, 3 talisman slots, 12 flasks and level 100. Now I'm getting prolapsed by Rellana and I'm not THAT kinda guy, iykyk. Gonna try bleed next time.

The base level is not that important in the DLC btw Whimsy, whether you are lvl 100 or 300 its kinda the same.. All what is important to become stronger is to collect those Scadutree thingies.. But anw im glad you are enjoying the DLC so far and im having a blast also playing it! Good luck in the rest of the DLC

i'm a huge from software fan, and i could never ignore that :D
I like it streamed , but only because I miss my friends And chatting with them while I watch.
But.......
Streaming is hella Distracting and difficult to even Play to the same level .
Also , you only get to experience this for the first time once.
So I want a live stream, But........
I logically think videos Will.
Be fine and mean You get more from the experience.

Do this as a let's play! I want to see you have fun, enjoy lore, and do this at your own pace.
I don't think I ever saw you stream anything, although I did attend a few live premieres. I feel like if you streamed a game without spending 15 minutes theorizing on every bit of lore you can find, it wouldn't really be a Whimsy video. At this point, it's as much part of your brand as "How dare?" and "What do you mean?". 😄
The performance is terrible on PS5, even on performance mode, and I really hope they try fixing it. I don't want to have to go back to the PS4 version. I'm used to issues in the open world but boss fights shouldn't have frame dips, ever.

The DLC is amazing and so is the world design, but the bosses are overtuned. They simply deal too much damage. The dlc is at a 60% on steam right now.. I am guessing they will make a balancing patch to the dlc. I think it needs one. Some of the bosses have very fast combos and just 2 shot you you within 0.5 sec. It feels honestly to the point where its unfair. I had to summon my mimic. The scadutree fragments do very little. 5% per level.
I am making progress but had to abandon my magic build, because the bosses are so strong and aggressive I need to be able to take more hits.

She's already played that game and I think she shouldn't make those annoying reactions. For example, I follow a German content creator who said she wouldn't do those. reactions because he has played Elden Ring and knows the theme
