I feel like this track has been always in the shadow of Dunkelheit and Jesus Tod, but it's equally great. It's got a really calm and relaxing vibe. Few things in the world take me to those magical realms such as "Filosofem" album. More than music.
Best Burzum track of all time is this one for sure! I know Varg doesn’t do drugs and doesn’t like this album, but Filosofem always puts me into a trip of its own.

So its a song about reincarnation. Varg was already into that in 1993 when he recorded this. Well, 19 years later, still in to it

I think the FIlosofem album was recorded in high quality in its own way. There's a difference between crafting very well a lo-fi styled album, vs. genuinely recording it shitty and not knowing what you're doing. Varg knew what he was doing and he wanted the sound he got and crafted it his own way. So Filosofem is quite high quality, if you listen to it with the right ears and the right speakers.

he was able tu use only electronic organs in jail as far as i know - thats why the quality is so low but i think Lycantrop brought it to light.
i keep listening to it at an almost daily basis.
