Seems like I have only heard the evil and anger live
Varg has the most standout melodies and harmonies, Mayhem maintained best progress especially after De Mysteriis, but somehow I feel like this rank is still missing Thorns. Darkthrone stands out with pure untamed expression of sound and atmosphere.
Yeah it makes sense because we gotta thank darkthrone if we now have Black'n'roll and we gotta thank burzum if we now have post-black metal and blackgaze/doomblack
Mayhem is just pure Norwegian evil black metal.
Varg really knew how to set those riffs on fire, and stab those high notes right in the head.

I’ve always been in love with Early Burzum. So many catchy riffs. Burzum is easily my favorite of the three.

I actually taught myself guitar by sounding out burzum riffs, so many killer and memorable guitar riffs in his discography. That sliding riff on the aske opening track was my first one I learned, feeble creams from forests unknown, lost wisdom, my journey to the stars, and dunkelheit were some other favorites

Since it's winter I'd say you did this one at the right time! Good stuff man. I like the way it started too. Freezing Moon is so iconic when it comes to Norwegian black metal. I thought for Burzum you would've thrown in Dunkelheit but I still enjoyed it. \m/

I feel like Burzum nailed a vibe that felt most removed from obvious influences and is somehow more iconic. I love Darkthrone but it's very easy to spot the Celtic Frost love. Mayhem seems born out of Bathory but that's not to say they obviously didn't really bring that evil icey tremolo picking style to the forefront. What is really funny is listening to riffs and BMP of Chainsaw Gutsfuck and Deathcrush and then listening Nirvana's Bleach album. It's like they also laid down the tracks for what would be come sludge--->grunge.

I've watched a good number of this man's vids since subbing a year ago or so . He's clearly grown up with all the same music I have . Very tightly executed guitar lines with that good full sound . I believe is lacking some of the times in recent years .

For me its Burzum , Gorgoroth ( whit Ghaal) , mayhem , old dimmu borgir , borknagar and yes i am Norwegian and a tiny bit biased.

As much as i love all 3 Burzum is hands down the best. Not only musically but in general. Keep in mind he did all his own albums start to finish but was in Mayhem and wrote like half the lyrics on "Transylvanian Hunger" shouldnt be a contest with 1 man playing a key part in the biggest albums of both Mayhem and Datkthrone. Im assuming most of yall know this though. Just spitting thoughts into the void of the internet.

Amigo, fuera de serie lo tuyo, excelente! he observando como productor musical y fanático del black metal dedicado a mi propio proyecto, que durante la puesta en escena cada persona tiene una valoración positiva o negativa de la primera persona que está tocando la guitarra, deliverado o no, eso me dio una perspectiva acerca de como perciben mi música las demás personas, ya sean músicos o solo oyentes... a veces, es imposible mejorar algo, y ese es el caso de tu video, llegaste a lo máximo!!!
Por ejemplo, durante War de Burzum (que parece Megadeath) Tú, representando a Fenriz, valoras el Riff, mientras que el guitarrista de Mayhem lo abuchea... digo guitarrista porque no me queda claro de quien fue la composición de Freezing Moon... Excelente video!!!

Eso depende de los gustos, por ejemplo a tí te gusta un sonido más suavecito, más Soft, BURZUM es una Bandita que le puede gustar a cualquiera, hasta a las niñas Gothics.
A burzum tenían que ponerle cadena perpetua , en vez de 20 años de cárcel ,hay sí qué sería creativo entre rejas .

The main difference is Varg writes a lot of melodies. There's a lot of riffs where both guitar parts are playing something different. Mayhem and Darkthrone have some really dark and heavy riffs, but Burzum has dark mysticism.

Difficult to say, because main thing about riff is how it works. Because when you play live, people aren't always able to hear notes but they react to energy, so some riffs only work in records
