Just one more comment and I’ll stop spamming the comment section. A few reasons why I love Johns filums is he doesn’t do the obnoxious posing in the beginning or creat looks that are not everyday friendly. Most all of his looks we can recreate for daily wear and I do really appreciate that. Also he explains everything for us step by step and that really helps me out. So for those reasons I have to say Thank You.
Same! This is something I would wear to work less the false lashes. And I appreciate that about him since it's rare anymore to find someone who posts every day looks
xamyx oh ya how could I have forgotten that damn Morphe code. I just want to ram a hot poker in my ear every time one of the gurus I follow brings up their damn code.
I have a bunch of his videos on loop and I listen to him before bed...he relaxes me. Also I love listening while I do my makeup, I just find it makes me relaxed and I don't concentrate so hard, my makeup always looks better. I love his channel!
I love how you don't use 20 new products each video. It makes me have faith that you truly like the products you use because you stay committed to them XO
As an androgynous male myself and an avid follower of yours for some time now, I'd love to see you do some androgynous look-book/makeup videos really showcasing your own personal style in terms of your overall look. I think that would be a very refined venture indeed. 😉 xx
What a fantastic way of starting my morning - Thank you for bringing soft pinks into context, John. 1- I believe that in one of the Q&A’s you had mentioned that your kitchen is practically an abandoned room. Of course, that statement does not imply how well versed in the culinary arts you truly are. I’d love to hear about your favorite meals, desserts and/or beverages for spring time. Maybe a cooking tutorial? 2- Please lacquer more things - the previous guide was very helpful. 3- I’d love to see a master class announcement for USA. 🤞🏻

I am 50 years old and have just started wearing makeup again I haven't worn it since I was in school your manners are impeccable and your skill is very impressive I appreciate your effort because you have blue eyes like me and pale skin like me and your colours and techniques have helped me much so thank you and the more videos the better I learn every time I watch you
Very happy to find this tutorial! I am having a pink moment just now, it's grey January and I guess I maybe dreaming of Spring! Studying John's tutorials has really helped me with careful placement of colour, lightly building up layers and of course, the art of Seamlessness! I actually feel like I know what I'm doing with makeup now!!
I absolutely love your filums! You are a breath of fresh air. The way you talk is so calming, so much so that everything just feels right in the universe.
JOHN! I love you with all my heart. You're already making my life so seamless and refined and I'd be grateful if you could make a video about how you became so articulate and share your life philosophies and schools of thought with us. And yes, make-up films are always very welcome. Take care. Bye. ❤
Well, since you asked...I would love to see videos on: 1. Makeup for hooded eyes. 2. Makeup for plus size faces, double chins 3. Makeup to help disguise very brown hyperpigmentation on very pale skin.
I would love to see you do a series of tutorials that depict makeup from different eras. Maybe starting with Victorian, working all the way up through the 70s and 80s? I would love to see your take on different "makeup trends" through the ages!
Your tutorial for mature skin was my inspiration to begin playing with make up, so I'd love to see another of those. Also I'll second the request for a tutorial on textured skin. I also adore your Q & As and the little peeks you've given us into your other interests and passions.
You are absolutely fantastic John. Not only have you taught me how to contour with perfection but now I listen to your soothing voice at bedtime. You are amazing, please never stop sharing your gift with the world.
I’d love to see a tutorial on a flapper make up look with a dark dramatic eye. Your face is so perfect for it with your pale skin, gorgeous cheekbones, and your natural lip shape is already the perfect bee stung look! And you could draw your eyebrows into the classic ‘20’s shape. Maybe do a pin curled faux bob with a little curl of hair on your cheek. You’d look divine!
Thank you sincerely, John, for educating us earthlings on the many delicate and nuanced shades of black that exist in our universe. We are truly blessed by your knowledge and magnificence.
I love how you focus on the utility of every product and describe exactly how it helps you to achieve the effect you are looking for. All of your videos pass on your own expertise in a way that other tutorials, even from other professional makeup artists, do not! I would love to see more videos about your interest in restoring and designing furniture. I very much enjoyed the one on lacquer that you made recently. As I know you create your own custom furniture, I would also enjoy something where you talk about the design process that you utilize for that.
Fell in love with this video. I loooove pink. I want to try recreate this with the current makeup that I have which is mostly kbeauty brands and colourpop. 😅 Looking forward for more pink and soft makeup tutorials that I can do daily in Asia ❤️
My dear, once again you make a small moment in time joyful. A very needed belly laugh was brought on when you noted the diseased look one could gain when applying pinks to the eye if not careful. So very true! And comparing Mr. Goss’s cosmetic brush to a kittens paw, delightful! I may just have to splurge on one now. I will definitely try out the eyeshadow lash technique for deepening the lash line without the severity an eyeliner would have. At the tender age of 46 I do find black liners most severe on my eyes. They were such a staple “look” in my prior decades but now I prefer a softer eye. Thank you.💖. I wish I had some riveting suggestions for tutorials, alas, I come to watch your films for the wonderful content you provide and your lovely soul that shines so brightly.✨ I’m not sure of your following and their tastes, but I would love to see you in a larger arena of interests. Your tastes in Art, perhaps a film of you at your favorite museum or your own personal pieces you’ve created or have curated throughout your life. I loved your film discussing and explaining your process in refurbishing a forgotten gem found in a second hand store. Anything you find valuable beyond the scope of makeup artistry would be intriguing. However, I realize that your core audience may not be interested in such things...pity. Much love to you.✨💖✨🌹

My holy trinity of makeup education...John, Wayne Goss and Stephanie Nicole! Do not need anyone else. Getting geisha brilliance vibes here with this look. Thank you for creating and sharing such a unique look, definitely marvellous. Have a brilliant week darling x
Just beautiful John. Thank you as always! I have blue eyes as well and use mostly pinks and purples on my eyes and find that these shades are amazing. I would love to see more looks like these; using pinks, purples, and orange hues and videos that are more in depth on blending techniques to, of course, ensue seamlessness. You are fantastic and I look forward to every new video. Quite frankly, I would watch you recite the dictionary!
Your tutorials are incredibly informative and the results astonishingly beautiful. I would love to see some more of your artistic side like your antiques passion. Personally, I love them also. You are the only person I have ever heard besides my dear Mother to say 'fillums' and I love this.
I just recently stumbled on your channel and I appreciate everything you do. The way you’re talking is marvellous. It’s a pleasure to listen to your calmness and elegance. I used to watch other beauty channels before but not anymore. Not a single one can compete to your uniqueness.
1 : A talk on a subject that matters for you. 2 : A tutorial on one of your (marvelous) paintings. 3 : How to apply make up on a model. 4 : A make up "no make up" look. I would love that John ! Thank you for you incredible content.
As a very pale redhead, I appreciate a soft yet colorful look. I would love to see more soft colorful looks perhaps in gold, olive green and grey? Lovely as always!
I have worn pink eyeshadow for several years as it's great for pale skin/redhead combo, and love love love your stunning spring pink tutorial! 🌷thank you, John. You're a sweet soul. 💘
Captivating look! I would enjoy it if you addressed the challenge of combating textured skin, showed ways to minimize the ravages of time on the under eye area of aged skin (the loss of volume and the dreaded pillows, in particular), and spoke more on the shape of brows on various face shapes. Thank you.
Here in Canada, the winter season has been long as well. Spring is finally around the corner. I would like to see more of your eyeshadow tips and tricks for hooded, downturned eyes so they look more open. This was a great video ( filum) loved this look. Thank you for sharing.
I have severely hooded eyes, it's quite unfortunate. I always feel like I do so much work and then when I look up half of it has been swallowed up by my hood. Any tips for hooded eyes are always welcome!
Hello, John. It would be delightful to see you use greens and oranges in a tutorial. I also have bright blue eyes and love pinks, but also oranges and greens for spring. I always learn so much from you, so thank you for sharing your art and teachings with us.
Love the whole look. Very refreshing to hear that not everyone loves a white eye pencil in the waterline. I also really liked the cheek contour tips - I'm not into the popular/prevalent techniques - and your technique isn't harsh at all. And finally, the glossy finish in the center of the matte lip is beautiful. My mouth is very small and my lips on the thin side and while I love the idea of matte lipstick I don't really feel that the lack of dimension is flattering on me. Thank you for the wonderful video!
I always learn so much from watching your videos John! I find that so many “tutorials” on UA-cam aren’t actually that informative whereas I feel watching yours improves my techniques. Please keep up the interesting, different makeup tutorials! Though I also find the other areas of your work interesting too! I love when you use models to work on to show different techniques for different skin tones etc. Lots of love from Scotland 🏴
Hello, I love you and your channel. I appreciate how you explain your application technique as you go along, I've found it very helpful. Some examples of videos that I would like to see are: 1. You giving your sister a look that she would never give herself. 2. I am curious about how your table will look when you finish the top, so perhaps that or some other restoration project. 3. I love the looks where you get very "editorial" as you say, like your Poison Ivy Glitter look. More of those would be fantastic! Thank you for sharing your art with us!
I really enjoy watching all of your videos, but if you could make a video along any of these themes, I would be appreciative: 1. How to bring out green/hazel eye color 2. How to properly swatch makeup in the store- what textures to watch out for or notice 3. Demonstrations of more editorial looks, like your black and blue or Christmas looks. Right now, I am getting some inspiration from the natural elements and I would enjoy seeing how you transform water (or whatever you choose) into a makeup look.
I have a new routine now, I watch your videos at bedtime. I get to learn, and I feel calm and relaxed by your voice. Hoping you will share many more films.
I love your enthusiasm John when you find something to be marvelous ❤️ Btw your smile is mesmerizing (as everything about you is...) and I'm happy to see you smiling a lot more lately. Oh how you brightened my day again. Thank you dear 🌹🌹🌹
I loooove all your tutorials, they are so informative, beautiful and your use of humor is extremely entertaining. I would love to see more of 1. Makeup tutorials with other people, ranges of skin color, bone structure, eye color/shapes, etc to see your take on how you would apply makeup on them 2. All your takes on the color black in outfits/clothes 3. Neutral everyday eyeshadow for the get-up-and-go people that still want to make effort (aka me)
I've been looking for a new way to line my eyes without it looking too harsh. I really like the way John blends in the colors and adds dimension in the most precise spots. And that eye pencil tip is just spot-on.
I'd love to see these 2 videos from you John: 1. Quick and easy make up look for those of us with little time/little ones 2. I'd love to know more about your hair care routine. Keep up the fabulous work darling!

Please continue to make such wonderful tutorials.! I would love to see a filum on your collection of makeup and face products and how you do your hair for the looks. I would also love to see how you would do a look that would transition from a day (office) look to night (out from dinner) look. You are phenomenal!

Hello, John. It would be delightful to see you use greens and oranges in a tutorial. I also have bright blue eyes and love pinks, but also oranges and greens for spring. I always learn so much from you, so thank you for sharing your art and teachings with us.
You are an amazing instructor. I can not say it enough. I adore your videos! You are simply stunning!
Some examples of videos that I would like to see are:
I really enjoy watching all of your videos, but if you could make a video along any of these themes, I would be appreciative:
1. How to bring out green/hazel eye color
2. How to properly swatch makeup in the store- what textures to watch out for or notice
3. Demonstrations of more editorial looks, like your black and blue or Christmas looks. Right now, I am getting some inspiration from the natural elements and I would enjoy seeing how you transform water (or whatever you choose) into a makeup look.
His videos are so precious. He deserves the world.

I would love to see more of
1. Makeup tutorials with other people, ranges of skin color, bone structure, eye color/shapes, etc to see your take on how you would apply makeup on them
2. All your takes on the color black in outfits/clothes
3. Neutral everyday eyeshadow for the get-up-and-go people that still want to make effort (aka me)
Hey John alot of us Mom's have a daughter that will be going to prom soon. Can you do a tutorial for Prom season?? Thank you all the way from Canada.😀

Your videos are a treat! Personally, I would adore a 1930s and a 1950s inspired makeup tutorial.
*I* must confess- You are marvelous, John!
I've been looking for a new way to line my eyes without it looking too harsh. I really like the way John blends in the colors and adds dimension in the most precise spots. And that eye pencil tip is just spot-on.
I'd love to see these 2 videos from you John:
1. Quick and easy make up look for those of us with little time/little ones
2. I'd love to know more about your hair care routine.
Keep up the fabulous work darling!
Hi John!!! Your creativity inspires me and your films make my week! Please consider a film discussing the proper etiquette for applying makeup on others.💄💋
Another video to relax too. Thank you John!
Hi John ! Your video's are so perfectly tutorial that it is actually possible to duplicate your looks. Thank you so much for the quality of your filums! Please continue to make such wonderful tutorials.! I would love to see a filum on your collection of makeup and face products and how you do your hair for the looks. I would also love to see how you would do a look that would transition from a day (office) look to night (out from dinner) look. You are phenomenal!
my weekend is officially complete .. almost .. seamless
thank you, MaLord
I love watching your films. Your voice is melodic and your looks are gorgeous.
The cadence and vernacular in which he speaks is heavenly. Heaven sent 👼 ♥️
You are so beautiful and oh so inspiring. Thanku for teaching us! I look forward to more filums.
I love your voice! I can just listen to you for hours. Forever even.
Absolutely beautiful as always!! I love those soft pink colors on you. Just divine!! 💖💕💖
How wonderful this pink eyeshadow looks with John's blue eyes!
Yes! Thank you for this, John...been wondering how to work pink
properly upon this face of mine without it looking a tad clownish. xx
I'm so glad that I found your channel! I could listen to you all day! 😌
John I would love if you could do a video for us old folk. The best cream shadows for older hooded lids that don't make my lids look like crocodile skin😂 Some tips and advice for applying makeup to older skin. Maybe some recommendations of affordable products that look flattering on slightly older skin. Which powders to use etc.
The way John said Seamlessness he knows we love it. Great "Filum" as always!
