Hello Lars, let me say one tip. I see that sometimes happen that model run out of screen and especially with 3D mouse is not fastest to zoom back, or if you want to see all model best way what work for me very well is just double click on your mouse scroll button. I think it comes from AutoCad. Maybe you know that. Thanks for your work. I learned a lot.

If the PDF is vectors, you can use Inkscape (free) or Illustrator to open it and save as a SVG or DXF and insert it into Fusion as a sketch.

Lars, thank you. This answered a question that I had, that wasn't answered even by Autodesk. Your explanation of what you were doing was super clear especially for a super noob like me.

Thanks Lars, also we have to check the drawing scale also to ensure we have the correct scaling from the drawing.

What version of fusion 360 are you using? And how to you have a constraints toolbar. Also some of your buttons, such as the finish sketch button look different.

Native PDF files actually contain vector lines and features. What I mean by native PDF is a PDF file which wasn't scanned, rather It was created with a software. The drawing you are using in the video is much likely a native PDF.
This kind of PDF files can actually be converted to DXF or DWG files pretty accurately, as they contain vector drawings in them. Then you can scale the DXF and do some sanitation, you'd end up with pretty good editable duplication of the original PDF drawing.
One software I highly suggest for pdf dxf conversion is called "Able2Extract" this piece of software can convert PDF files very accurately and seamlessly to dxf. It even works with scanned PDF files, but the end result will be effected hugely by the amount of the quality of scanned document. Check it out.

Hi Lars, I love your work. Can you perhaps show us how to a T-Square, a ruler or a protractor? I want to make these for my wife, she is a draughtsman

I have been importing pictures from templates as SVGs in Fusion and extruding the images as is. It works great. No need to redraw. However when scaling image the inner dimensions are not scaling proportionally to the outside of the objects. Have you ever done it this way?? How can I scale it accurately without distorting original dimensions?

As always, easy peasey. I'd love you to do a Fusion 360 video tutorial creating an HO scale Victorian house from a real house (picture). Here's the why. I want to make duplicates of homes I visited and the town I grew up in used to have a lot of Victorian homes. Many were torn down by rich people to build condos. I want to recreate some of them as models. These had all of the fancy gingerbread, corbells and more. I need to do two separate types of drawings. The first is to make trim pieces I can 3D print on my resin printer, the other is drawings to laser cut. Basically the walls, roof floors etcetera. That would make my day times a hundred.

I have a Fusion Assembly, and would like to import it into Autoidesk Revit to be rendered with an Architectural design. What is the best format, to not lose the appearances. Thanks.,

assuming the pdf was made correctly you can convert it to svg and use it directly as a sketch. Since all drawings should be vector based anyway.

I expected a new feature to use a pdf as a sketch. :)

F360 needs to add pdf canvas capability plus snap to entities such as lines in the pdf. Turbocad (crap ) does this

You didn't use a PDF. Your video title is wrong.
