I agree with @Daniel Hannah . Need a video on how to re wire from your button switch to the aftermarket switch you guys sell. Just picked up my lights and new switch and don't know anything about wiring so a little confused and cant find any other videos that cover it.
hey man did you figure out the wiring? I haven't recieved mine yet, so kind of want to have an idea. The OEM Switches they sell are usually 4 wires (red, red, black and green), but not sure about the switch that comes with ditch lights.
Check out their video for the hidden front bumper light bar install. They go over it there. Looks really easy, so I just ordered all the OEM switches for my lighting setup.
Any tips on how to get one of the bolts off? My passenger side back bolt is super tight. I’ve tried lifting the hood, different length sockets, wd-40, I don’t know what else to do. Appreciate the help.
How do you wire to the optional OEM switch? The wire harness has 3 wires: blue, white and black. The OEM switch has a green, 2 red and a black. Need some instructions please.
Hey man did you figure it out? I am getting my package soon, so want to get ready. I did some wiring with OEM switch and auxbeam light bar and wired both reds (OEM Switch) to red (auxbeam), black to black and green(OEM Switch) to yellow (auxbeam). But here I have no idea. Thanks!
Just bought a bracket and installed it today. One thing I noticed is the driver side bracket is higher than the passenger side. Is that how it’s supposed to be?
On the 2020 Tacoma Off Road, there is no room to take one bolt off at a time under the hood for the bracket. Anyone else experience that? Other than that, great video, I appreciate the help!
So just got this kit, installed it and and functions fine but the on/off switch that comes stock stays “on” with the green light even when off. It also does not appear to turn off with the truck off. Concerned about battery dying due to that. Any ideas ? Currently just have it wired directly to the positive and the negative on the battery, should I ground it elsewhere ?
i just got these......what r the washer orientation ? edit...... where does the flat washer go for the four side bolts? i know they don`t fit where the nuts/lock washers are, where does flat washers go? between the housing of light and bracket? that does not seem possible so am cornfused at the moment where they go.
I didn't know that soldering was needed to combine the OEM switch wiring to the harness. I don't understand why it's sold partly built? This is silly. It should have came with OEM switch wired to the harness.
Does the switch sent with the pods, not the OEM have a continuous draw on the battery since the off light is always illuminated? Is that something I should be concerned with? I will be installing the oem switch in a week or two, but until then they will be plugged up to the switch sent with the pods.
For switch light, you need to use add-a-circuit with one of two red/yellow(one that is next to black wire) wire and tap it into one of many ignition power source in the fuse box. There are two options depends on how you want it to function. Option#1: Use Tail light fuse slot if you want the switch light to be on only when parking lights are on. The switch light will be turned off during daytime drive without parking lights on. Option#2: Use IGN2 fuse slot if you want the switch light to be on all the time as long as start button is pressed/key is turned. I use this option as blue switch light looks cool even during daytime. And of course ditch light turns on anytime regardless of switch light. You don't have to use same exact fuse slots I mentioned as there are many more to tap into. I've been running five add-a-circuit in the fuse box for years without any problem.
@@chadweddle9191 I never got around to try and getting them off, I've been so busy with work it's nuts but yeah it's locked on there good probably have to take it to a pro
Hey Alex, We skipped this part because its only one bolt and nut that holds the bracket to the pod. If you would need help with this part of the installation, please feel free to reach out to our customer service!

Not detailed enough. Which screws and bolt to install the bracket to the pod?? I have a bunch of hardwares but which goes in first? Washer? Nuts? ???

Same question here, did you find out how to wire?

This video is for the 2016 and up. I have a 2015. Is the installation pretty much the same if I order the ones for my 2015 truck?
Yes the brackets are almost identical.
Are the brackets mount universal?
Tarek Taher they can hold any brand led light.
Do you have brackets for a 2000 Chevy S10?
so what if i wasnt paying attention and installed the bracket in between the hood and where the hood connects
Brandon it will affect the gap between the fender and hood but does hug the hood a little better and gets the light a bit higher.
Is there a way to wire it to a fuse instead of the battery?
Addafuse

Are the pods adjustable?? Swivel up/down or left/right ?!
Andrew Goodwin the left to right is done by the mounting bolt for the light it self. Up and down is usually done by an included mount with the LED.

You can just use wire connectors

Yes it is the same.
Can you install both the ditch lights and your 32in light bar on stock taco battery?
Maxx Powell Hey thanks Maxx!
My bolts on my 2015 Tacoma doesn't want to unbolt I have tried and I'm afraid that the bolts are gonna strip 😭
Might take it to a professional! Good luck.

Do you guys carry them.. for the 5th gen 4runners ?? I want some..
Yes we do. please visit our website.
Sorry the 4th gen 4runner
Low profile as in shorter and close to the hood? How much closer than the older ones?
Yes they are roughly 1-3/4" Lower
Low profile also means more glare from hood
Website or link to buy these lights please. I have a second gen 2013 Tacoma.
This video skips the light install on the bracket wich is like 50 percent of the install .....
