I applaud your authenticity. At 61 (myself) I appreciate your willingness to present your makeup routine. So many beauty videos focus on makeup trends for much younger women (great for them, but kinda leaves us older gals looking silly)! Thank you for another great video!
Thank you for the undereye concealer tip on how to use your beauty blender, (which I've never used, btw?) And cover your eyelids also..brilliant idea!🎉
This is the best makeup video I have ever watched. I love the way you explained everything in detail and did not speed any of the video up. Most of the others I have watched seem to assume a base level of knowledge I do not have. (I am 71 and have worn makeup off and on throughout my life but have only basic skills and a minimal routine.)
What a transformation. You look natural and polished. It does matter what colors you use. I have been using colors that are darker, but plan to try your softer combination. You did an amazing job. Have a blessed weekend. Debra
This was very helpful, especially the eye makeup techniques. I was wondering about applying a liquid or cream foundation with a brush. Never saw that before, just used fingers. Do you wash the brush every time you use it? What do you use to keep it germ free? Seems like it would get crusty with remnants of foundation.
Thanks for the tutorial & tips! I get frustrated with beauty experts & makeup artist tutorials. They’re so complicated. (I remember watching one who spent 20 minutes just on eyeshadow!) Your tips are so great for us everyday gals & I’m definitely going to spend more time getting my face ready for my day! 😁
Kay, I have been using City Beauty Sculpting Crème ever since you talked about it. Honestly, my face is so much tighter and lifted, my jowls (what an ugly word!) have gotten smaller. I also use the CB lip plumper and love it! I think I am going to order the mascara today. Thanks for all your helpful suggestions. I never miss your newsletters or videos!
Wooo Hooo! I have been patiently waiting, waiting, waiting for the lip oil and CB lips to go on sale. I am currently scraping the bottom of my CB lips and about out of the oil. Bless you for the CB sponsorship you developed. MMMWah! Thank you also for the eye make-up tips. I too am aiming to soften the eye shadow look. Love what you demonstrated, and I will work on that technique. I had still been applying the darker color to the outer corners in an effort to make my eyes stand out (my eyes disappear without make up :)) getting the color higher on the brow bone really does serve to lift and open. Nice!
Kay, thank you thank you for humbling yourself to do this for us. It’s just so hard for me to purchase foundation online without testing it. I love the City beauty lip products for my lips! (Ordered again)And I asked this in a post above, but is your beauty blender wet? Thanks again, you are a beautiful lady! At 62, I needed a little direction to do better! ❤️👏🏻
Loved this makeup video for women of a certain age. I was in need of updating my makeup collection and purchase your Dior recommendations and the shape tape creamy concealer. Wow good products that give soft beautiful finish. However there Is a learning curve on shape tape 😁 but once you master that you get impressive results. The ‘creamy’ shape tape gave the best result. Thank you Kay for sharing your routine.
Love the video - what specifically do you do under your eyes / concealer only? No foundation? I have a problem with bags under my eyes and anything I put under there makes it more noticeable
You look beautiful and such a natural, subtle look. I just ordered 1 night oil and 2 lips line therapy. One is for my mother in law who doesn’t seem to realize that her lipstick is smearing into her lip lines. I hope it helps both of us! Thank you!
The makeup look is lovely and this is the way I've been doing my makeup for several years now to achieve a more natural look. Would you explain about your hair style? I like natural looking hair styles but I do want it to be flattering. Your hair style has really changed.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I don't think my hairstyle has changed that much really. It's a little shorter right now because my hairdresser got a little "happy" with the scissors I think. Ha! But I'm still styling it pretty much like I did in this video ua-cam.com/video/_P84Ykl0-og/v-deo.html
Ha! I always use both hands. Probably because I am ambitextrous. I cannot do it with one hand without getting my entire nose covered in mascara😂😂😂. And I do have a small nose! Always wonder how people do that!
This was great tutorial. I don’t use makeup. But I would love to. I used to wear it everyday when I worked. Then I did it if we went out somewhere. Now I just don’t. But I think it could help me. I’m 65 and I’m not getting any younger. But really don’t like messing with makeup. But I think I’ll give it another try.
Hi Kay, thank you for your fall. Make up video. I enjoyed watching you make up your beautiful face. One thing I don’t see listed is the nail color that you are wearing in this video. If that is something you could provide to us, I would appreciate it. Thanks so much for all your videos that you put out to us. Have a blessed day.
Will you ever consider not wearing make up ? I remember you saying that your hair is going gray and you have chosen not to color it. I struggle with both decisions
You look beautiful! I liked everything you did, but there is one thing you neglected: blending in your foundation on your neck. There is quite a difference in color between the area beneath your chin and the rest of your neck- this is hard to do well,I know, which is the main reason I don’t use foundation!
You're absolutely right. I usually use my beauty blender to blend the foundation onto my neck, but everything looks a little different when you're sitting at your dining room table doing your makeup in front of a little makeup mirror whereas you normally do it in front of a full length mirror. The Dior professional makeup artist told me to just use the blender and dab that leftover product onto my neck. It usually works beautifully. I just neglected to do that here.
Rose des Vents is French and means Rose of the Winds. Vents is pronounced starting with a V (of course) and then something like the sound of your word “balm” but skip the lm and the end. I noticed you struggle with French names and are worried you get it right. Why not use Google translate? You put in the word and on the right is a microphone icon. If you press that you can hear how the word is pronounced. I get it that for you Americans French names are really difficult. Not going into US versions of the luxury brands I hear all the time on YT that are hilarious. Not nice to laugh with people. Nobody’s perfect. But Google can help you out. Have you never tried?
I didn't apply it on my neck, but did go under my chin with it. Then I usually (but didn't in this video) take my beauty blender and spread just the residue product down onto my neck by bouncing on my neck. That is par instructions I received from the Dior professional makeup artist in New York with whom I had a private consult. And the reason she told me to do that is because my neck is a lot redder than my face. It's just the way I've always been. You might think twice before saying "NEVER."
I thought you just did your chin line….which is perfect. Kay do you wet the beauty blender? I’ve been told both ways. I’ve also been told to use hot water.
I applaud your authenticity. At 61 (myself) I appreciate your willingness to present your makeup routine. So many beauty videos focus on makeup trends for much younger women (great for them, but kinda leaves us older gals looking silly)! Thank you for another great video!
You look very nice and not over done at all. Great job explaining everything. Thanks for showing the before and after. It is appreciated.
Love your makeup look! I just turned 70, and I am in agreement that less is more as we get older. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial!
Beautiful soft natural look 🥰
Great Fall look ❤
You always look beautiful, and your inner beauty shines through.
Your tutorial was as good as any professional. Thank you for sharing. You look amazing
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kindness. 🥰
Thanks for this video Kay. Very helpful. Your makeup looks great and very natual. I hope I can achieve a similar look.
What a beautiful look!! Thanks so much for sharing this Kay! I’d love to see a tutorial on your lovely hairstyle, too!!❤
Thank you for the undereye concealer tip on how to use your beauty blender, (which I've never used, btw?) And cover your eyelids also..brilliant idea!🎉
This was soooo helpful, thank you! Really appreciate your humble sharing 😀
Glad it was helpful! 🥰 Thanks for your kindness.
Your makeup always looks lovely. It's fun to see how you do it! Thanks, Kay.
So beautiful!!

Really lovely makeup tutorial 🙂I'll see if we can get City Beauty here in the UK . Thanks♥
Just order from city lips !! 🎉 I’ve been wanting to try their products and with your coupon i was able to try a few. Thanks so much !
Beautiful look Kay! Could you share what necklace you are wearing please? Is it a Monica Vinader, it's beautiful!
You always look beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
That is very kind. Thank you. 🥰
Absolutely beautiful makeup Kay. Thank you. Xx
Thank you for demonstrating how you apply your make up. You look lovely!

You have gorgeous skin, and I love your eye makeup!!
Really helpful. You give me a wake up call. I got lazy over the summer but I always feel better when I make the extra effort. You look lovely.
Im so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you. 😊
Thank you Kay! Just ordered lipstick and didn’t notice in video you used lip liner, thoughts? Also did you use compact powder to set makeup? Color?
I did use some liner. I like a good one! Creamy. I used a little compact powder, but I brushed it on.

Thank you. The tutorial was great and I snapped up some City Beauty Night Oil too.
Wonderful! 😊
You are lovely inside and out Kay,
Your makeup looks beautiful
You look lovely!! ❤️
Thank you for the tutorial.
You are so welcome! 🥰
Great video. You’re brave to do this. I learn so much from all your videos. Thank you.
I appreciate you watching and sharing a comment. Thank you. 🥰

Haha! I love that. It really does help me. 🥰
Thank you for this video. I loave your minimalist look, very modern and lovely.
You are so welcome! I appreciate you watching and sharing a comment. 🥰
Great video! Thanks for sharing. What makeup mirror are you using? Was the magnifying mirror part of it?
You look amazing. Thanks for sharing some tips. I need a little update.
I enjoyed your tutorial as always informative

❤ love this tutorial. Thank you Kay.
Thank you so much. 🥰
This is the first time I’ve seen anyone apply mascara using both hands - I am SO impressed, I can’t get mine on neatly just using my dominant hand!
Ha! I always use both hands. Probably because I am ambitextrous. I cannot do it with one hand without getting my entire nose covered in mascara😂😂😂. And I do have a small nose! Always wonder how people do that!
Excellent advice, thank you!
You're so welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.

Great tutorial! You look amazing.
Thank you so much!😊
Great tutorial! So helpful. You are gorgeous 😊
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Lovely Kay.
Just so pretty!!! I love your hair like that. You listed a “similar” eye liner… I was interested in the one you actually used. Is it available? 🌺
Hi Annette, I just fixed the link. I thought mine was discontinued, but it's not. It's this one by Dior: rstyle.me/+EvyGrWdyHykjuiG9pQcYeQ
Got it!
Good morning Kay, and thank you, for sharing. Beautiful 🤩
Thank you for watching. 🥰
Loved this Kay
Thank you so much. 🥰
When I go on the link to a product it brings me back to this page. Not sure how to get to your products.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I'm wearing this in Wildfire rstyle.me/+vQgzDVkFmWb8viJL-0Qkcw
Thank you so much, Kaye. I appreciate you are getting back to me. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
Thank you, you look beautiful.
I need to know the eyeliner brand. Mine always transfers to my upper lid. Great video! Thanks for sharing.😊
You are so welcome!🤗 I think my eyeliner is a Channel pencil that has been discontinued. I linked what looks to be a similar one.
Thank you so much. This is a doable tutorial.
Glad it was helpful! 🥰
👍
Thank you for the tutorial, Kay. Just curious: do you have blonde highlights or is your hair naturally blonde?
My hair is naturally blonde with a lot of grey. No color added. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 🥰
It’s a beautiful color. I also appreciate how soft and blended your eyeshadow is.
I still need to do better with that.😊
Very lovely and natural
Thank you. 🥰
Thanks!
Which item is the under eye concealer you used ?
It's listed in the description box. It's this one in 22N actv.at/2pTQ/169124
Very nice look. 🩷
Will you ever consider not wearing make up ? I remember you saying that your hair is going gray and you have chosen not to color it. I struggle with both decisions
Oh you do , do makeup tutorials 😊
Wait you said your eyebrows are blonde but before you said you never had blonde hair is that correct?
No, I never said that. Maybe you’re thinking of someone else? My hair was always a dirty blonde and actually still has a lot of blonde in it.
Nail polish color? Plz
What was the color of the lip liner please?
It’s Mauve.
What color lip liner are using?
I apologize for neglecting to share that. I was finishing this up at 10 p.m. and forgot a few things. It's this actv.at/2HBV/192398 in the color Mauve
I never put makeup down my neck. Don't need it. Don't want makeup on my clothes.

I thought you just did your chin line….which is perfect. Kay do you wet the beauty blender? I’ve been told both ways. I’ve also been told to use hot water.
If you don't blend it down your neck a little ways, there will be a "makeup line". That's what I have been taught by makeup artists.
That's ONLY if your foundation doesn't match your neck as it should!!
It gets all over your clothes!
Great tips! Thank you!
You're so welcome. 🥰
Very helpful, thank you!
