He truly was the one on the iron mask. He had to hide his love for Anne, he had to hide his disdain for Louis's antics and policies, he had to hide the fact that he was Louis's father and was always ashamed of him deep down, and just put on a happy face so-to-speak that hid how he truly felt about it all weighing down on his mind.

Actually, I think it was "You would've worn the mask." A reference to when D'Artagnan tells Philippe "All that you have suffered, I would've gladly born for you."

This scene always makes me think that there must have been countless heroes in history who died fighting for the purpose of something greater than themselves, and for the next generations, even though they knew they would be killed by those who had more powers, weapons, and so on.
Since this was a movie and fiction of course, none of the 4 musketeers and Phillip were shot to be killed. But most in our history died and we are living with the rights they won by their blood

Brilliant movie indeed. There is many lessons in this film, but there is one that truly sticks out. “You shall truly reap what you sow and whoso ever dig a pit shall fall in it and who roll a stone, it will return on him.” 🙏💯

You can see as they shoot they close their eyes. They don't want to see them die or know that their bullet killed them. They all hoped the missed.

They didn't want to kill them and that's why their eyes were closed, they didn't want to aim properly, if you watch closely after the shooting some of them even had the expression of "are they alive? God I hope I didn't killed these brave men" soldiers didn't had a choice but to shoot, but they damn made sure that they wouldn't kill them! 🔥🩷

And this scene gave me ideas for a Titanic Story that I am writing about these two ten year old cousins who sailed on the Titanic and Survived the nightmare of the shipwreck with their own courage and witts and their broken friendship but with great cost obviously meaning their families from their parents and older siblings did not survive and the sinking of the Titanic brings the two cousins relationship more closer and helps them reconcile and everyone who had actually sailed on The Titanic plays a part in the cousins story.
Also this gave me ideas for a Untold Story about Robin Hood about how he and his sworn Enemy Prince John were childhood friends before they grow up to be sworn Enemies.

If D'Artagnan is the father then how could he not have known he had twins how could Louis and Philip's mother not a say a thing to him The awkward part that this whole thing could have been avoided and turned out differently and more better and no one had to die like Raoul and his girlfriend.

They explained that in the movie. When the queen was giving birth, D'Artagnan was busy getting drunk to cope with the fact that the queen was giving birth to what he thought was a single offspring that he felt he could never publicly proclaim to be his own. When D'Artagnan finds out twins were born, he later goes to the queen in private and asks her why she never told him. However the whole mess could have been avoided if he had just come clean about screwing the queen, or if he had just refrained from screwing her in the first place.

@@zacharyevans5214 Of course porthos mentioned that when Aramis was telling Philip why he was in the iron mask in the first place before mentioning the plan to replace Louis with Philip but I could not understand porthos's French accent anyway that was D'Artagnan's mistake he should have been there to witness it then he would have known and how could he not he had been there he was working for the king back then like he was today so he should have been present at the Queen's birth and known all along that she had twins and the queen should have told him anyway because she knew he was the dad And she did not think he had the right to know what is wrong with the Queen now I see where Louis gets his stupid sick stubbornness from And also wasn't it strange that D'Artagnan reveal to Athos Porthos Aramis and believe that he was the dad right when they are facing Louis close to Suddan Death In other words shouldn't D'Artagnan's have mentioned that when Athos Porthos and Aramis were secretly planning to reveal to over throw Louis becuse if he did mention that right then and there and not later then Aramis would have revealed to D'Artagnan's that he had twins Considering he knew that Louis had a twin since he help Put poor Philip in that mask in the first place and also It was also stupid that D'Artagnan refused to help them over throw Louis when he joined their secret meeting what did he think that secret meeting was about of course they were planning to overthrow Louis considering Louis got Athos son killed to get his girl and Athos said during D'Artagnan's funeral that D'Artagnan's was the best of them all well it does not sound like it was when he was talking to Louis In his bed Chamber He did not push Louis hard enough when trying to tell him not to send Raoul to the war he didn't warn him that Athos raoul's dad is mad that Louis doing that and did not even warn him that if you send him to the war and if anything happens to him you'll make an enemy of Athos and this will not look good on him or on you so I'm warning you for your sake don't do this let Christine go and Raoul stay here and not go to the war and find yourself another girl Also he got in the way of Athos Porthos and Aramis plan to replace Louis if he had just done nothing he would still be alive but his death is on the queen and on Aramis for not being honest.
