You likely already know this, but JK Rowling originally went to Disney! They refused to do what she wanted, instead opting for an interactive wand-shooting ride (maybe another ride too? I don't remember) and a dining option or two. For leverage, she went to Universal who promised her everything she wanted. She told Disney this, they thought she was bluffing, and the rest is history!
That little smile of Imelda Staunton. ;). Universal should give Alicia free ap and hotel rooms for life. She’s so beautifully documented the transformation of epic into a park for years now.

It's also not going to have major drops since most of the ride building is shorter than the Parisian facades fronting it. As Alicia basically says, it's Spider-Man but it can go up and down as well. Didn't some imaginers move from Disney to the universal studios because of DEI practice which exchange the old imaginers for the new? The effect of this can be seen in the problematic Tiana bayou adventure which breaks down very often. But we'll see how good are the epic universes next year.
Nah Disney still has better animatronics. But id say the theming/immersion at universal is better than it is at disney. It feels a lot less artificial and fabricated than disney does, at least to me.
@@orange_turtle3412 what do you mean by artificial and fabricated? I agree about the animatronics. Universal has some great themed areas. Hogsmeade and Jurassic Park, especially. Aside from cars land of course, idk what they did there but its really damn immersive. And yeah, disney definitely has the better animatronics. Likely because they actually put work into making immersive physical effects instead of just slapping giant screens everywhere
It does look nice in the concept art. However, I doubt it will feel very elegant considering it’s going to be a quick service location. I suspect it’s going to be an absolute nightmare to try to find a table to sit at in that overcrowded free-for-all.
I'm literally so emotional. My baby girl is only 7 months old, but she's destined to be an HP-lover (I'mma raise her right). Her name is Natalie (I wanted something French) and Art Nouveau is my favorite art style. It's everywhere in my home office and in her nursery. I teared up imagining taking her to visit this when she's older. Just, the wonder I know will be all over her face. Literally chills. I was most excited about Dark Universe and lowered my expectations for this because I didn't want to be disappointed. I'm just...blown away! We don't really do Disney stuff for her, I'm putting her on Minions, HTTYD, SpongeBob (yeah, she's too young but she'll sit and watch it, and sometimes...that's what mama needs her to do, lol), and soon the monsters and HP. Why be a princess when she could be a witch?!
