Universal already denied these claims. Also it makes no sense if they still have simpsons, cartoon lagoon, and lost continent to use for space. This would give disney a easy win and remove spiderman and hulk two crowd pleasers
I really hope the Marvel island closure is just a rumor. I love this land since it represents Marvel before Disney. During the awesome 90s animated era and all the original comic stuff

@@ansonchow2016 I mean, not really. Maybe this is just my opinion, but Universal did Marvel better than Disney did Marvel in their parks. Disney would just make a copy and paste of the garbage they made in DCA and Disneyland Paris.

I just love the theming of the land making you feel like you jumped straight into a comic book. Please don’t get rid of this. I would never forgive Universal if they do
Just a quick correction: Not only Islands what’s supposed to get a Batman themed area, but also a Superman themed area. The DC superhero section of the park would’ve been split into 2 areas with Metropolis for Superman and Gotham City for Batman
For those thinking this is impossible, it is not. While the contract is perpetual, Universal does not have freedom. They cannot create any new rides without Disney's approval. They cannot alter any rides without Disney's approval if there is a significant change. The Spider-Man upgrade and Hulk track replacement/refurb were all approved by Disney but this was linked to the Avengers monorail wrap settlement between the two companies. That usage is now known and Disney has had no other violations. They cannot update the character looks from their 90s appearance without Disney approval or they breach the contract and Disney cancels it - which would create a drawn out court battle that could cause Universal to lose millions if they lose. Merchandise is fully controlled by Disney, so the percentages there have receded for Universal over time. So Universal only gets a small cut of merchandise sales. Which is also a problem elsewhere. Their cut of Harry Potter merchandise and Nintendo merchandise is small. The plus is the license is relatively cheap. They have to share far more park revenue with WB/Rowling, Spielberg, and Nintendo. This means their operating margins are worse than Disney since Disney owns the IP inside their parks but much of Universal's IP is licensed: Marvel, Seuss, Potter, Toon Lagoon, MiB, Transformers, Nintendo, and ET - and even Jurassic Park has some licensing from Spielberg and royalties to the Crichton estate. Disney has far less of that, which gives them a better margin. It also means any merchandize for these franchises also has to be split. Universal badly wants to use their own IP as much as they can. They need How to Train your Dragon to be big, but they also know their IP does not draw. Without Nintendo and Potter, they'd likely have much lower attendance. Their biggest IP comes from Illumination and Dreamworks mostly with Fast and Furious thrown in as well. They really would like to make Battlestar Galactica big so they could have their own sci-fi franchise as a draw, but the TV series is over a decade behind us and the reboot has not gotten off the ground. They also could potential strike a deal with Warner Brothers top get more of their IP in the parks at better rates. So instead of Zelda maybe you see Lord of the Rings if the rates with WB and the Tolkien Estate are more favorable than Nintendo. DC Comics characters could come with that, though I don't know if Universal wants to do a straight swap - though Batman remains a strong brand and we have to see what happens with Superman next year. Regardless, Universal wants better margins AND needs to be able to have the flexibility to make new attractions. The price is still good for Marvel, but it will never be able to change much. Though that may come after Lost Continent expansion and redevelopment, Seuss replacement, Jurassic refurb, and Toon Lagoon replacement.
Sorry my friend, it looks like you may not have read the contract. Universal CAN develop new attractions or experiences at IOA. Let me direct your attention to section VI. Miscellaneous Legal. It reads, "Marvel will reasonably cooperate in making information, artwork, archive material, key personnel, etc. available to MCA in order that MCA can creatively develop THE MARVEL UNIVERSE and exploit its rights hereunder." When it says "...exploit it's right" that's the key. The only objections Disney can make is for improper use. So, if Universal wanted to build a stunt show with The Avengers, they can do it. If they want to build in iron Man roller coaster, they can do it. They just need to stick to the '90s versions of the characters. Also, merchandise is not "fully controlled by Disney." Not really sure what you mean by that, but the contract spells out very clearly how the revenue from marketing and sales is meant to go. It does not give us percentages or dollar amounts. To say it's fully controlled by Disney is to overstate the facts. This contract highly favors Universal. And everyone knows that. It was done and a time when Marvel had virtually no leverage in negotiations. Disney is fortunate that Universal chose not to install these characters in its other parks globally, otherwise Disney would be shut out globally from representing any of the IP at any of their parks.
Any updates on other Universal destinations and experiences? How’s that Horror Nights venue in Vegas coming along? I know that parking and some foundations have started over at Universal Kids Resort.
The rumors are because Universal can't add anything to marvel superhero island, but the only way universal gives up marvel is due to a contract issue with the financial split, if they make any better deals with anyone else Marvel gets to adjust or nullify the contract. Marvel isn't as popular as it was but i see it remain for at least the next 10 years minimum.
If they are removing Marvel Superhero Island, I say we relocate all their rides to Disney's Hollywood Studios and make them part of their own Marvel area. They'll feel pretty out of place for a Disney park, but at least we won't have to worry about them being gone forever.
That or put them in Epcot, to be closer to Guardians of the Galaxy or have a retro section for the older Marvel rides in Hollywood studios and an mcu section in Epcot
-I know Disney owns the MCU and they bought Marvel but they still have the theme park rights to fantastic four, the avengers, and the X-Men. Why can’t they do anything more with those characters when they have the theme park rights to them? -if they did replace marvel superhero Island, what should go there? I was talking with my brother about this weeks ago, and he was saying that if they had decided a decade ago to move away from marvel and do something like a transformers land that could’ve worked. it doesn’t work now. DC is still owned by Cedar point and other than that I don’t know of another property that could have as much popularity as marvel.
Idk where this rumor is coming from but it needs to stop universal will never give Disney that chance to out beat them like that so many people go to universal for marvel and Harry Potter. Other than potter it’s their most popular area in the parks.
9:20 - That wolfman is awful. Just ask Benicio DelToro to stand out there with guests for pics, no makeup needed. I don't care if his Wolfman movie is 14 years old, him in his current state is more "Wolfman" than this, just like like Willem Dafoe being more "Green Goblin" without the helmet on. I mean, what even IS that thing? Gary Busey?
With the void left behind by Lost Continent, there's no way they're going to give up Marvel Superhero Island at IoA anytime soon. What in-house IP does Universal have that could fill the void? None. Third party IPs to license, DC? Six Flags has that. Lord of the Rings? That's what Lost Continent would best be suited for. Transformers? A Transformers area is feasible and would require the least amount of changing to Marvel, which could set up an argument for removing the ride at Universal Studios Florida for something else and retheming the Spiderman ride as it's basically the same type of ride. Hulk, Storm Force, and Dr Doom could all receive Transformers theming without too much effort. But that would take away a ride from Universal Studios Florida, which is a weak park with too many weak screen-based attractions.
If they're going to scrap one of the lands at IOA, they need to do away with toon lagoon. I'll guarantee no one under the age of 30 knows who any of those characters are or why they're there
As much as I love IOA (its my favorite theme park here in Florida), toon lagoon desperately needs to be replaced. With Epic opening next year, people are going to realize parts of IOA are pretty neglected, and I think Universal will be wise to start fixing it up soon. Its gonna be impossible to ignore at that point, lol.
@@MoiveGuy24 It's been rumored lately that The Simpsons land would be turning into Pokemon, since the contract will be up for discussion in 2028, but there's a possibility that Universal could get rid of it sooner
They would replace Lost Continent way before they replace Toon Lagoon. Lost Continent has no attractions and doesn't make them any money at all. At least in Toon Lagoon there are 2 attractions and some places to eat. Lost Continent literally has just a place to eat and otherwise it's just a pass through to get to VelociCoaster or Hogsmead.
I'm sure these things are way too complicated to understand as a normie, but I still don't get why they don't come to an agreement to share. Universal gets to update the theming and Disney can use it. Not that Avengers Campus is a good theme but something like having it renamed to "Avengers Campus U" and Disney gets "Avengers Campus D", Universal gets to keep Spider-Man and Hulk, Disney can then do whatever they want with anyone else. But yeah, I'm sure this just can't be done on a realistic level.
Even if it’s an official, I don’t think Universal is gonna close the entire land completely and Leave it empty like a Ghost Town not until they find the replacement with an original or a new IP.
This seems like a mid-2030s at the earliest kind of replacement situation. Both Disney and Universal have a lot of projects to work on prior to implementing these kind of changes.
Marvel Super Hero Island isn't going anywhere any time soon. The area is a massive cash cow for Universal, yeah they have to pay Disney, but Universal is making more off of it than Disney is, so paying the competitor doesn't hurt them at all. Disney can't buy the area out, nor force Universal to give it up. Part of the contract states that Universal themselves has to change to area and front the cost, otherwise Disney has to pay for the monetary loss and the cost of changing the land, money Disney simply doesn't have the money to cover that.
Also, Spider-Man ride in Orlando just received all the ride vehicles from the Spider-Man ride from Japan. Or going to receive all the ride vehicles.I don't know if they're there yet
The loss of Spiderman would be a huge loss… Hulk can be re-themed (I believe) but that Spiderman ride (for me at least) is a top tier attraction. Also Bio is a HERO!!!
if anything it would be retouches/changing some tech but design wise? not allowed, part of the contract stipulates using the comic versions of the characters I believe, so any highly popular versions of today (like MCU) would not be allowed. But tom isn't wrong every piece of merch only aids competition, it barely helps universal other than attendance and some marketing it does make sense for a 'in time' closing. Do i think it will happen anytime soon? Doubt that, but I COULD see it happening once Epic Universe is done, So Capacity can be offloaded. Islands already has an entirely dead land anyhow, Lost Continent, so I expect something
I imagine after the backlash Blumhouse was nervous that the ridiculous looking character would have a negative effect on the movie bottom line since it has not released yet.
Universal would be stupid to give up its rights to that style of marvel. IP is difficult to license, if anything, they should expand on Marvel while riding off of Disney’s continued marketing efforts
They should be looking to redevelop the Lost Continent before they do anything else major to the park. Since they closed down the only ride in that area it seems like a total waste of space that could be used for something else.
If Universal is going to replace Marvel Superhero Island at Islands of Adventure, keep in mind that the new replacement has to be based on a timeless story, myth, or legend. It can't be anything else.
Since Marvel superhero island including Simpsons land is moving to Disney theme park if I heard correctly I made a list of ideas. Replace Simpsons Land and Marvel Land with new theme land ride ideas. Jaws Splash Ride Back To The Future Ride K.I.T.T The Nightrider Ride Beetle Juice Ride & Land Area Terminator Ride Robocop Ride Star Trek Land Area & Ride Gi Joe Ride Ghostbusters Ride Scooby-Doo Ride Transformers Land & Rides
I am sad, but also really excited about it I really want Marvel to be in the Disney World park like it is in California and see characters and rides based on them
For my (imaginary) money, I’d offer to sell the Marvel license back to Disney, since it will enable them to expand their WDW Marvel offerings. Maybe even throw in the plans to the Spidey ride if they were interested. Then I’d raze Superhero Island and replace it with Cybertron, then I’d relocate the Transformers attraction from NY to Spidey’s old spot. (And if they get to keep Spidey, move him to NY!) It’ll never happen of course, but Cybertron made sense to me since it’s a non-Disney license. But that’s me. I thank you.
Replace Marvel Superhero Island into Transformers Land & Rides would be so awesome! I already made a list of ideas for it. 1. Transformers The Ark Restaurant like the one from Hong Kong. 2. Starscream’s flight roller coaster. 3. Autobots Battle For Earth, it’ll be kinda be like a resemblance to Six Flags’s Justice League Battle For Metropolis. 4. Wheeljack’s Lab Crises! There will be like a fun gun shooting thing like Despicable Me Villains Villain Con. 5. Bumblebee’s Thrilling Ride! That’s all I thought up for now though. Despite Transformers The Ride is already on Universal Studios the Transformers Land would be cartoon like.
Butterbeer in City Walk!!! FINALLY!!! That took way too long, so much missed revenue over the years!! Now, instead of 2 per day, it will be doubled by adding one on the way into the park and one on the way out!!! Been saying this for YEARS!!!! Making a consumable drink exclusive to a land limits sales DUH!!?! I understand the theme, blah blah blah. But when a product is so popular and lines are so long, it is obvious to open MORE opportunities. Chocolate Beer should be everywhere in parks too!!!! Sick and tired of only being able to get it at Chocolate Factory and NOT being able to bring it into parks. We have to take rule breaking measures to smuggle it in and that’s just ridiculous!
I guess their ratings are low so they need to just spew out BS. Typical for this site and their WDW sister channel. This is completely untrue and makes absolutely no sense at all. IDK where they think they got this from but whomever told them also doesn't know or it was one of those things where one person said something and by the time it got to them the story was completely different from the original comment. Why would Universal ever give this up without Disney paying for it? If Disney wants Marvel back east of the Mississippi they will have to not only pay for it, but also pay Universal enough to tear it down, design and build something else and secure an IP for this. This would cost billions of dollars and Disney isn't going to do this. Disney would then have to spend billions more developing Marvel attractions and possibly a land and there's no guarantee they'd get a return on their investment.
Personally, I would keep Marvel as it is as its my favorite land at IOA. But if they were to replace the Marvel theme, which would you prefer? 1. DC 2. Anime/Manga 3. Nintendo 4. Other
Very highly unlikely Universal Studios Fl will not continue with the Marvel heroes, especially the Xmen and F4 , Spiderman and Capt. America, They will NOT just simply not use their license, what could happen is a modernization of the area, maybe eliminating the Tower and Do the Baxter Building for the F4 and Dr Doom , a Xmen Masion adventure ( a Danger Room ) something like that, Disney will not have the amount of money to buy their use license
Not saying I want Super Hero Island gone, but I do look forward in the future with both Disney and Universal. Hope Disney will put the Marvel characters to good use, and hope Universal succeed with bringing some new and exciting with its replacement
I would love to see the whole Batman/Gotham city theme to replace Marvel Island or they could do DC comics land or they can move Pokémon land into marvel land they have more space for rides and attractions
Universal Studios Singapore had a Madagascar land, but closed it to retheme it to Minions. The original Universal Kids Resort concept art had a Madagascar land, but the updated concept art has it replaced with Minions and SpongeBob. Because of this, I don’t see Universal having any new Madagascar themed land in the future.
Its unlikly they are going to get rid of marvel super hero island because it not just they prevent disney from using the ip in their park part of the contract states universal only has to give mavel the raw material cost on marvel themed merchandice they sell in the park ( aka the materials it cost marvel to make the item so they give marvel 10 cense for every 30 dollar t shirt they sell) thats werth alot
look no matter if the rumors of it being true or not, it MUST be replaced with an another property that haves the same 'edge' as Marvel, hopefully one that still follows the themes of comic books or just literature and/or adventure as a whole (perhaps from Overseas *wink*). Besides, all that stuff about it being too "popular " and that I should stay because its "represents marvel before Disney" or whatever doesn't justified for it to stay. Its like paying for a car that's not only you can't drive, but that the car overall belongs to some you despites for years. They NEED to take the shot, otherwise its going to bite them back in the ass sooner or later.
Marvel is one of the most popular franchises in the world and there contract means they can have it forever i doubt universal is dumb enough to remove this land with world class fan favorite spiderman ride thats better then the one in disney and a awesome hulk coaster and dr doom ride whos probably the most popular marvel villian
Makes zero sense to redevelop an area of the park that is still popular and a draw, while Toon Lagoon and Lost Continent's remains are still there. Try again, next
Yeah Marvel goes to Disney and Universal is even going to give Disney 10 billion just because. I also heard Disney is getting Nintendo if Universal wants the flailing Star Wars ip but Universal gracefully declined so that is probably not going to happen.
Big if true. Bring on Pokémon. We know you're rooting against Universal, as always. Still waiting for Bioreconstruct to find ANY work being done at Disney. This fella thinks hes a bigger Disney fan than you are, a Universal fan.

Seriously doubt it, DC is under six flags and too many other parks. Marvel works and makes them good money w Spiderman alone. Crazy how a 30 year old ride is better than Disney's newest spiderman ride in CA
This make no sense and only helps Disney with their IP. It's nonsensical. Trust me I wish this was to happen. I love Super Hero Island, but within the next decade it's age will start to show. I also would love to see Disney build a true Marvel Universe World, but it would be a horrible business decision for Universal.
When I was younger. I love marvel superhero is one of my favorite part at Universal Studios. I have no problems. I have no beef but I don’t want a DC come over to Universal Studios cause DC sucks. I’m really sorry it’s OK. But it’s the truth I’m a marvel fan. Amazing what it did for many years ago that Disney and Marvel Studios when they worked together for like a long time, but I don’t know why they want to think that the rumor is going to replace something else, but I don’t want that if it’s DC then I’m not going back to islands adventure sorry.
"Marvel Super Hero Island Possibly Closing'. Why didn't you lead with this story instead of making us listen to you drone on and on for 10 minutes? It was the main reason I clicked on the video.
To retrofit Super Hero Island? Anime Island might work - it's not a big jump from comic superhoroes to giant robots. My blue-sky concept would be "Noir" which would be IOA's modernist take on the Dark Universe - the IP is dark literature, graphic novels, and early cinema - keep the skyscraper metropolis facade sort of atmosphere but all in black and white. The attractions and architecture could suggest Sherlock Holmes, Edgar Allan Poe, Lovecraft, (tribute to Hitchcock/psycho?) maybe a bit Jules-Verne/retro-futurey ominous,. Spiderman becomes an Asylum/Lovecraft ride with a 50's pulp adventure/horror comic "Creepshow/Weird Tales" feel, Dr Doom becomes a mad-scientist with an indoor section with a buildup like Tower of Terror. It'd be sad to change Hulk's theming, but I guess it could re-theme as an otherworldly flying inter dimensional vehicle - they could enclose the back half of the ride after the block brakes so the track intertwines through an indoor cave with tentacles of a giant monster...
It’s time….marvel superhero island looks outdated would rather see it at Disney parks replace it with DC theme Batman Superman green lantern because I strongly believe James Gunn has DC on the right track
No. They saved marvel. Marvel couldn’t even make its own movies. Was broke. You should watch a show called icons on vice. They have a 6 episode series on this. Marvel wouldn’t be here without Disney. No matter how bad you guys don’t like it.
@@UndeadNerdT800 the comics weren’t doing to good. If they were able to be bought it’s because of thier past dealings and problems with money and having to seek its own products. Don’t hate Disney, hate yourself for caring this much. It’s a comic book. Grow up
I think they should re-theme MSI to comics outside of Marvel and DC; with Toon Lagoon serving as the a land themed around golden age comics, 1930s and 40s animation, and comic strips. Whereas this re-themed area would represent modern comics, manga, anime, and webcomics. Spider-Man could be re-themed to The Boys Hulk could be re-themed to Invincible Dr. Doom could be re-themed to Scott Pilgrim Additionally, they could add attractions based on The Walking Dead, Dragon Ball, Spawn, Hellboy, Sailor Moon, etc.
I don't know why they did a "ministry of magic" world... Because you know what sounds fun... A old British government building... 😩 And some french government too. Wooooo 🙄
It’s worse. It’s 1920s Paris, then you take the floo network to 1990s London. Not sure why they thought Fantastic Beast would have been just as successful, but at least it’s different.
They will get rid of super hero island. There are too many stipulations and clauses that favor Disney in the long run. Universal needs to let it go and put one of there awesome iPs. I want to see Pacific Rim next to Monster verse like Godzilla and Kong as well as Lord of the rings. But I believe that is going to England to the new park
Of all the turd areas in ioa I can’t believe they would take away marvel. I’d rather see suess landing go. The lost continent has zero attractions and is still better lol
I hope the rumor is true, so we can have Avengers campus in Disney World and plus Universal could do more with the land than just keeping it. Especially since the MCU is more relevant to general audiences, plus with Guardians already being in Disney world. Since it would be beneficial for both Disney and Universal, for Disney they can have Marvel attractions and expand the Guardians of the Galaxy area to add the Avengers and Spider man to the parks and Universal can do more in that area. Just think about it, they could do a DC land or a Pokemon land or a retro universal land or a Sonic the Hedgehog land or a My little Pony/ Transformer land or a Wicked land (depending whether or not the movies are successful) or any of Universal properties or anything else I haven't thought of.

It reads, "Marvel will reasonably cooperate in making information, artwork, archive material, key personnel, etc. available to MCA in order that MCA can creatively develop THE MARVEL UNIVERSE and exploit its rights hereunder."
When it says "...exploit it's right" that's the key.
If they do get rid of Marvel Island, I hope they just rebrand the Hulk rollercoaster instead of getting rid of it.
Anna always does a great job!
Those rides are staying at universal they would have to retheme the rides not remove them
Epic Updates!
Gary Busey?
This is one of the less considered ideas that I’ve come across for a while.
It should become the fast and furious land, full of “ Family” rides.
No, you can’t closing marvel superheroes Islands. They’re allowed to keep it remember we came out from the 90s down
If they're going to scrap one of the lands at IOA, they need to do away with toon lagoon.
I’d like to see toon Lagoon get replaced by Pokémon
@@MoiveGuy24
It's been rumored lately that The Simpsons land would be turning into Pokemon, since the contract will be up for discussion in 2028, but there's a possibility that Universal could get rid of it sooner
@@feliciasingleton4849 I would be interested to see how the fact that the series is finally ended plays into that
Glad MinaLima get to rock on!!
that spider-man ride is the best dark ride in FL
I'm sure these things are way too complicated to understand as a normie, but I still don't get why they don't come to an agreement to share. Universal gets to update the theming and Disney can use it. Not that Avengers Campus is a good theme but something like having it renamed to "Avengers Campus U" and Disney gets "Avengers Campus D", Universal gets to keep Spider-Man and Hulk, Disney can then do whatever they want with anyone else. But yeah, I'm sure this just can't be done on a realistic level.
I'm sort of shocked they haven't gotten an opening date yet. You would think people would buy tons of tickets as Christmas/Holiday gifts.
Aww, I love Yoshi!
THEY BETTER NOT CLOSE THAT ISLAND
Thanks a Lot, Disney! 😤
The loss of Spiderman would be a huge loss… Hulk can be re-themed (I believe) but that Spiderman ride (for me at least) is a top tier attraction. Also Bio is a HERO!!!
We got Toon that needs help and Lost Continent that needs something. They need to focus on those
Universal have a new contract with WarnerBros, possibly with working on Universal Great Britain, but maybe it’s for Marvel Superhero Island too!
Eh, I don't buy it. I think this would at most be a renovation to modernize it.
if anything it would be retouches/changing some tech
but design wise? not allowed, part of the contract stipulates using the comic versions of the characters I believe, so any highly popular versions of today (like MCU) would not be allowed.
Nice shirt, Tom!
about time. now it needs a Middle Earth land
Universal would be stupid to give up its rights to that style of marvel. IP is difficult to license, if anything, they should expand on Marvel while riding off of Disney’s continued marketing efforts
Thought Universal was COMIC themed
They should be looking to redevelop the Lost Continent before they do anything else major to the park. Since they closed down the only ride in that area it seems like a total waste of space that could be used for something else.
If Universal is going to replace Marvel Superhero Island at Islands of Adventure, keep in mind that the new replacement has to be based on a timeless story, myth, or legend. It can't be anything else.
Since Marvel superhero island including Simpsons land is moving to Disney theme park if I heard correctly I made a list of ideas. Replace Simpsons Land and Marvel Land with new theme land ride ideas.
Jaws Splash Ride
Back To The Future Ride
K.I.T.T The Nightrider Ride
Beetle Juice Ride & Land Area
Terminator Ride
Robocop Ride
Star Trek Land Area & Ride
Gi Joe Ride
Ghostbusters Ride
Scooby-Doo Ride
Transformers Land & Rides
I am sad, but also really excited about it I really want Marvel to be in the Disney World park like it is in California and see characters and rides based on them
For my (imaginary) money, I’d offer to sell the Marvel license back to Disney, since it will enable them to expand their WDW Marvel offerings. Maybe even throw in the plans to the Spidey ride if they were interested.
Then I’d raze Superhero Island and replace it with Cybertron, then I’d relocate the Transformers attraction from NY to Spidey’s old spot. (And if they get to keep Spidey, move him to NY!)
It’ll never happen of course, but Cybertron made sense to me since it’s a non-Disney license.
If they got rid of this part of the park I would never return.
Personally, I would keep Marvel as it is as its my favorite land at IOA. But if they were to replace the Marvel theme, which would you prefer?
1. DC
2. Anime/Manga
3. Nintendo
4. Other
1. DC
There was gonna be a DC land but warner did not want it so universal went with marvel
@@MJPRODUCTIONS8972Also, we already have DC stuff at Six Flags.
What I would do is just revamp the whole Marvel Superhero Island
Sonic
HelloooOOOoo Tom. Please take care
If this is true Disney would be able to add Disneyland’s Avengers Campus land to Disney World since Universal’s contract would be null and void.
Not saying I want Super Hero Island gone, but I do look forward in the future with both Disney and Universal. Hope Disney will put the Marvel characters to good use, and hope Universal succeed with bringing some new and exciting with its replacement
I would love batman stuff to come
I would love to see the whole Batman/Gotham city theme to replace Marvel Island or they could do DC comics land or they can move Pokémon land into marvel land they have more space for rides and attractions
Excuse you the "O" in the UOAP magnet is Lil' Boo
I hope will replace with Madagascar Land for Islands of Adventure in 2026 or 2027 soon!
I really hope they do pokemon at super hero island. It’s a much bigger footprint than simpsons.
DC is out of the question cuz of Six Flags, but if I can pick a license it’d be Monsterverse
Either that or Transformers. Transformers Land would be nice it’ll be excellent replacement.
We've ever universal decides I trust them!
The Simpsons Ride is definitely closing.
I doubt they'll get rid of marvel island at least while it still makes them plent of money.
look no matter if the rumors of it being true or not, it MUST be replaced with an another property that haves the same 'edge' as Marvel, hopefully one that still follows the themes of comic books or just literature and/or adventure as a whole (perhaps from Overseas *wink*).
They just canceled HHN tonight.
Yup
Marvel is one of the most popular franchises in the world and there contract means they can have it forever i doubt universal is dumb enough to remove this land with world class fan favorite spiderman ride thats better then the one in disney and a awesome hulk coaster and dr doom ride whos probably the most popular marvel villian
10:02 "The P is yellow"
Wicked should be, well, WICKED!!
10:50 Hey I made a list of ideas
Simpsons Land and Marvel Land move from Universal Studios to Disney World.
Replace Simpsons Land and Marvel Land with new theme land ride ideas.
Jaws Splash Ride

K.I.T.T The Nightrider Ride
Beetle Juice Ride & Land Area
Terminator Ride
Robocop Ride
Star Trek Land Area & Ride
Gi Joe Ride
Ghostbusters Ride
Scooby-Doo Ride
Transformers Land & Rides
That’s all I came up with. Hope they like the ideas.
5th gate!!
Only way they should do this if they plan on buying DC 🤷🏾♂️
When I was younger. I love marvel superhero is one of my favorite part at Universal Studios. I have no problems. I have no beef but I don’t want a DC come over to Universal Studios cause DC sucks. I’m really sorry it’s OK. But it’s the truth I’m a marvel fan. Amazing what it did for many years ago that Disney and Marvel Studios when they worked together for like a long time, but I don’t know why they want to think that the rumor is going to replace something else, but I don’t want that if it’s DC then I’m not going back to islands adventure sorry.
I feel it's right to remove marvel rather than give Disney money, but this means Simpsons and lost continent
Please say sike
"Marvel Super Hero Island Possibly Closing'. Why didn't you lead with this story instead of making us listen to you drone on and on for 10 minutes? It was the main reason I clicked on the video.
They go in the order of parks they always go in
To retrofit Super Hero Island?
Dude America hates anime.
It’s time….marvel superhero island looks outdated would rather see it at Disney parks replace it with DC theme Batman Superman green lantern because I strongly believe James Gunn has DC on the right track
What?
It’s true Disney did ruin marvel
No. They saved marvel. Marvel couldn’t even make its own movies. Was broke. You should watch a show called icons on vice. They have a 6 episode series on this. Marvel wouldn’t be here without Disney. No matter how bad you guys don’t like it.

I think they should re-theme MSI to comics outside of Marvel and DC; with Toon Lagoon serving as the a land themed around golden age comics, 1930s and 40s animation, and comic strips. Whereas this re-themed area would represent modern comics, manga, anime, and webcomics.
Spider-Man could be re-themed to The Boys
Hulk could be re-themed to Invincible
Dr. Doom could be re-themed to Scott Pilgrim
Additionally, they could add attractions based on The Walking Dead, Dragon Ball, Spawn, Hellboy, Sailor Moon, etc.
Land looks incredible imo. I agree Britain is rlly boring, but from what ive seen the land itself is incredible
No Pokémon at IoA, it’s not what we want. Let’s have something unique in place of the Simpsons.
Disney and Universal already share Hulk’s movie rights; it’s just a part of business. This channel is a nothing burger. I’ll unsubscribe
Just think about it, they could do a DC land or a Pokemon land or a retro universal land or a Sonic the Hedgehog land or a My little Pony/ Transformer land or a Wicked land (depending whether or not the movies are successful) or any of Universal properties or anything else I haven't thought of.
save the Sonic the Hedgehog land for Six Flags parks
@@Oscar95451 Nah, they wouldn’t reach Sonic’s true potential. I would rather have one in Universal and with the success of the movies, it’s surprising how there’s isn’t a themed area yet.
I do love the Transformers Land idea it’ll be perfect for Universal. Even though there’s already Transformers The Ride in it but let’s say there’s another side of Universal Studios has Transformers Land this time it’s like cartoon animation version. And I even bet they’ll have that Transformers The Ark restaurant too just like the one on Hong Kong. I already made brainstorming of ideas of Transformers rides and stuff.
