I worked with a guy from up there 50 years ago. He used to tell me about the finest beaches in the country. Him being a bit of a romancer at times, I didn’t realise just how true it was until the mid eighties when we took the kids up there to Haggerston. It was a great August week and we spent almost every day on the beach, apart from a walk to Holy Island and Bamburgh. Been back many times since and it’s always as stunning as BC’s videos portray it.
Really look forward to Sunday nights now, seeing the lovely Finn and yourself on your amazing journeys. Don't change anything they are great the way they are😊
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos and seeing your lovely Finn. You mentioned on one video that it was probably boring to watch as just you and Finn walking miles. It certainly isn’t for me. I use to fell walk and travel UK with my little dogs. Im now aged a bit, unable to do the adventure walks and distance and no longer have my dogs. Watching your videos is as if I was walking with you and Finn. Enjoying the scenery, beaches, history and even the sounds. All Magic for me. I have to virtual travel now via You Tube (much more exciting and interesting than Prime or Netflix or actually tv in general. I look forward to your videos and your banter. Please continue to be you and allowing me to share your adventures. Big hug to beautiful Finn.
Came across your channel only a few weeks ago, now addicted 😊, I’ve since watched so many episodes, (8 hours a day)😁. Really wish I could hike the Lake District again myself. Best channel on YT and Finn 😍 such an amazing little dog.
You picked a cracking couple of days to visit. The sky, moon, sea and beaches look amazing. And that’s from someone who lives in Northumberland!! Thanks for sharing!
We did that route in reverse. Battled our way through the brambles and nettles and emerged in the middle of the golf course ducking for cover😄 then the spikey beach grass. We didn't know about the free beach parking though so parked opposite the castle. Think that hurt the most😄
Just came across your channel on UA-cam & I'm thoroughly enjoying your content. I do recall going to see Bamburgh Castle many years ago with my parents. We were walking through a field leading to the castle when suddenly cows started running towards us. We just made it through the gate on the other side. I have to say Finn did ever so well on your beautiful walk. The scenes were breathtaking. Thank you for creating this wonderful video. 👍
Love your vids. I would have never seen these places if it was not for you making these videos. Really appreciate it! Finn is also so lovely..mans best friend indeed.
Ah m8 I was up bamburgh Friday there's a great little spot past castle free parking we had a walk along beach to Seahouses and back then we went to buttermere slept in van newlands pass then done snott rigg and robinson would of been great to see u😊
You’re right about that beach Glenn, I stayed on a campsite on Budle point a little while ago, walked to Bambough and back and it became one of my favourites straight away. The point is a dog leg so you can get a sunset over the channel, I watched it sat in complete silence on my own whilst sipping Banana Rum. I’ll put a picture of it on FB page for everyone to enjoy
That pub you went in and had your breakfast is an inn collection there dotted about the Lake District and north east always good for food and reasonable price for staying 😊
Finn did so well on this lovely walk. Enjoy shorter walks with her. I've never been to this beautiful part of the coast, looks like we will visit. Thanks for showing us.
So lovely to see you and finn in our home coastline. Showing it off as beautifully as you always do. Such a stunning video. Thanks for sharing. Now let's keep it a secret 😊❤
Finn at the very beginning (and well, during the whole video really) is just so, so, so sweet, we love her so much! Keep these videos coming mate, inspiring!
Glad you found the food, “really good” in the pub in Seahouses. We were there two years ago, we gave it 2/10 and that was mostly the for view of the harbour.
I just stumbled upon this randomly and it's brought loads of memories back for me from '17 when the wife and I used to walk from budle bay camp-site to seahouses and back stopping both ways at Bambourgh en route. Keep left on the olf course, left of the bushes, the blue tagged poles are the path signs. I don't understand why the castles are blurred out? Lindisfarnes a great view from ross back sands! Probably legal?
I used to holiday in a caravan off the bay as a child, the beach was full of shells 50 years ago. I still pop back now and again to visit and have very fond memories, especially of the gun emplacement ;)
You've covered the walks we "did" in September of this year. Love the area BUT it is way busier than when we were there in 2017. Hopefully it won't become too popular. Got some cracking photos on the beach near Bamburgh Castle. Do you mind Finn being the star of the show? Keep on rambling through the walks, I often watch the vlog first and then listen a second time while I'm out walking my border collie, Tan.
Just a thought for you - I too have a van and one of the best things I have is a Karcher window cleaner - basically when I wake up in the am I use it to remove the condensation from the windows. Much quicker than the air con, and it reduces the moisture in the van!
You said you had a smaller pack so perhaps you could still take your larger one and pop Finn in it as she gets on a bit😂. Enjoyable vlog and good to hear you felt brighter. Think we just missed you as we were visiting my dad in Amble around the same time! Oh and we call it a sunbow, saw one once at home, aint nature great!
Just wonderful! I've never seen those beautiful beaches beyond the lighthouse - I definitely need to return! Thank you so much for another brilliant video! 😊
On board the Serenity was fantastic, what a beautiful day! Seals n birds, all very nice Darling 😉 Those beaches are so lovely, you can just sit there and stare out at the sea. Budle bay then on to the golf course and the blue post nightmare then into the tick pathway Lol. It's been great! loved every minute, looking forward to the next one. A big thank you Glenn n Finn. 👌
Great pub at Seahouses 👍 Did the trip out to the Islands a few years back , the weather was like the film Perfect Storm ! As we were leaving the harbour the waves were hitting the boat ….it actually lifted you off your seat ! The further out to the Island’s we got the weather changed….it turned out to be a beautiful day . We actually saw the Sea Eagle 👍 A brilliant day out .
Great video, looking forward to the next series of HTW…can’t wait for the Northern Fells. I’m guessing if you’re sticking with Protocol Binsey will be first?
Not sure if you have been before but you need to get over to Ross sands, it's after Budle Bay, completely deserted there as you have to walk a mile from the car at Ross to get there 🙂
One of your many great videos. So enjoyed it from beginning till "night night". Take care. Travel safe you and Finn and looking forward to your next adventure.
Cheswick beach is gorgeous and if you know how to drive down and over the railway tunnel there's some parking. A gorgeous walk up and over the dunes onto more miles of barely visited amazing sandy beach.
I took my daughter on this Farne Isles cruise in springtime this year, with the same company, and would for sure recommend. The cliffs and seas were packed with birds and grey seals. It was a hell of a lot colder, windier and choppier than when you were out there though
There is a web page called 'Traces of war', which has info about the NE coasts WW2 bunkers. I also just noticed I have the exact same Osprey backpack. :-) that was a great video to be fair. I'm really enjoying the new format of a few days journey. I've never wanted a van so much in my life (and a doggo).
Thanks for the great watch Glenn never been up there before but certainly will be now what a beautiful place, and what about one of the rucksack you can carry your dogs in, Finn would love that up the mountains but you would have to sacrifice the camera 😮take care Glenn 👍👍
great vid as usual glenn..must of been such a great time in such tranquil and beautiful surroundings..as a teessider whos lived most of my life in the south coast. i do miss the good old north sea...however i love the east anglian coast more than anywhere..i did notice the trooper bottle..straight away iron maiden. keep up the great vids mate..i prefer your road trips more .
What a beautiful coastline I near yet I've never been to Budle point! Must go ASAP, great video and look forward to the next one, did you have anyone knocking on van through night as I heard they are clamping down on overnight parking there , did a car and beach camp there last year but heard you can't stay over now
At 12 years old, Marley no longer likes the hot weather and hills combination. I think the Black Mass weekend was his last in those conditions. He's better in the colder weather and I suspect Finn is similar. Love reliving my visits to that coast through your travels and spotting bits I may have missed 😁
Golf courses are desperate! Been lost on loads trying not to get killed by a stray ball or irate golfer with a 5 iron 😂 - Great video mate and what an absolutely tremendous area! Cheers 🍻
I really want to go to this place so badly but just can’t afford it 😥😥so I’ll live it though you 👍, p.s you could always get Finn a dog buggy for the long walks 🐶
it's a good idea to get your dog used to sleeping in your tent. My lovely old dog just refused to go inside the tent, so she slept outside all the time.
A random question - but what do you do when you have no signal but need google maps for driving directions? Thanks for a great video. Adding this spot to my must visit list. Also Finn holds a special place in my heart, cutie bean!
Cherish every walk you can take with Finn and don’t worry if making a vlog that’s only a short walk - that pooch will follow you with adulation! Plenty of stunning short walks around the lakes and the country!
Seeing this made me think of the end scene/cedits from the original 1968 Planet of the Apes, all you needed to do was super impose the Statue of Liberty. Even the sound of the sea was spot on…. 29.50
Please stop telling people how beautiful the Northumberland coast is. We like that nobody is aware 😁😁😁
I worked with a guy from up there 50 years ago. He used to tell me about the finest beaches in the country. Glad you enjoyed the Northumberland Coast. I've had the privilege of living in north Northumberland since 2001 😊
My favourite part of the world. Seahouses Banbough and Holy Island. Thanks for bringing back so many. happy memouries
Wow, what spectacular beaches ! I've never seen that part of the coast before, thanks for that. Stunning Britain at it's most beautiful. ❤
Finn is having the best life. Love your channel uplifting and friendly. If like me you love the outdoors it's perfect. Such a lovely little doggie 😊.
Wow,wow, wow! Absolutely stunning coastline.just the sound of the waves gently rolling in was instant relaxation.cheers sir (Finn too of course)
Great channel! Only caught you this week......Feels like walking on those wonderful tops ! Dont change a thing , chuck!

Perfection! Thoroughly enjoyable from start to the finish with the fabulous moonrise. Absolutely love watching little Finn trotting along. ❤
Came across your channel only a few weeks ago, now addicted 😊, I’ve since watched so many episodes, (8 hours a day)😁. Really wish I could hike the Lake District again myself. Best channel on YT and Finn 😍 such an amazing little dog.
Really enjoyed watching this video, what a beautiful day you and finn had, loved yr favourite photo, the birds are Guillemots.
My Sunday night is now complete, been looking forward to this 👍🏻☕️
You picked a cracking couple of days to visit. The sky, moon, sea and beaches look amazing. And that’s from someone who lives in Northumberland!! Thanks for sharing!
Just had a brilliant, relaxing hour watching you and Finn on your adventures. Don't change a thing. Really enjoyable watch. 😀👍

Love your vids. I would have never seen these places if it was not for you making these videos. Really appreciate it! Finn is also so lovely..mans best friend indeed.
Sitting on the sofa, with my children watching your weekly vlog. Wonderful.

When are you going to carry on your wainwright series? Missing downloading your walks so me and the wife can do them.
As you got closer to the lighthouse it looked more like a happy meal 😀🤖
When are you going to be releasing season 5 of hiking the Wainwrights.
Really looking forward to it.

If you come to Ireland, in Donegal is a Beer named Kinnegar...Best Beer ever. I recommend the Scraggy Bay '') aptly named

Trooper is a really really good ale 🍺 great choice and a brilliant album, not as good as seventh son though 😊
There's a better path than that off the golf course 😉
Cherish every walk you can take with Finn and don’t worry if making a vlog that’s only a short walk - that pooch will follow you with adulation! Plenty of stunning short walks around the lakes and the country!
That is indeed a Mistbow also called a fogbow or a whitebow
We got Puffins in Maine.🇺🇸🇬🇧🍻

dont worry if they think thier golf ball going to hit you they will shout fore or duck lol
Thing with dogs is, even when we stride at a normal pace they’re nearly always trotting to keep up.
