Man I can almost never see the lure on the screen unless they're zoomed in when I'm watching UA-cam videos on front facing. I hope it's much easier to see in real life. I'm gonna be pissed if I buy it and can't see my lure good. I wanna see it at least 60 ft

I generally learn the limitations of the equipment and focus on maximizing the results within those limitions. I have a few videos showing how I track my baits past 60ft by making adjustments to my settings.

I got my 10" Garmin Ultra, SD card mapping, steady cast heading sensor, 32ah 14.8v lithium battery plus all my mounting hardware for $1300! Plus I'm adding new live scope plus/Lvs34 system next month. That brings my total to $3000. With increase prices form hummingbird this year just a Solix 10 is 2799.99 +tax!!! Even if the Solix was a little better than an ultra? It's not worth that price difference!!!

All three brands of forward view sonar are really good. When shopping for a brand price is the first thing we look at. I played the same game with Garmin. Two times a year the 93sv goes on sale for $599. Sale prices affect our choice in brands. From my experience each brand offers the angler a different experience. Lowrance is known for plug and play with good results. Hummingbird gives the angler more control over the picture quality. Plus Hummingbird has the best mapping of any brand. Garmin fits the middle of the road. Garmin's side and down imaging is a little less quality than Hummingbird. Garmin is on par with Lowrance when it comes to side and down imaging. Garmin has a lot of menu settings like Hummingbird, so the angler has greater adjustment. When it comes to forward view sonar nothing beats Mega 360. No other brand has mega 360. Lowrance tried with the ghost trolling motor to do 360, but it was a failure. When it comes to forward view Garmin has the most detail but not the distance. Active target and Mega Live have a longer range. Most anglers fish zero to 50' from the fish. All forward view sonar has a sweet spot between -10' to 50'. When making a decision on which brand look at what's important to you. If you want to plug and play with good results go Lowrance. If you want the best picture quality and mapping go Hummingbird. Garmin is a great marriage of picture quality and control. Any one of the brands will help you catch fish. The key is how your mind processes the information you see on the screen.

@@High-techRedneckFishing very detailed summary. There are several guys that run multiple brands for different reasons. I have always ran Humminbird and have taylored my set up in a way that works best for me. Great information. Thanks!

@@MoneyBass it boils down to what you have the most confidence in. I love your setup on your Nitro. This might sound basic. I would love to see a break down of your Shakey head setup. Rod, reel, line, types of Shakey head you use and baits. The Shakey head on spotted bass lakes is bread and butter. Thanks

@@High-techRedneckFishing I can agree with you there. thier all pretty good, mega 360 is awesome. I'm sure eventually Garmin will try to do something to compete with it. Lowrance definitely messed thier version up.

Yep I've heard of bait pop. But haven't paid much attention to it other than few videos. All the brand's are good theses days. I think it's personal preference. Hummingbird does have 360 over rest. I know Lowrance has ghost 360 but you lose control of trolling motor momentarily to use that. I think hummingbird has best side imaging. But I haven't seen much of new Lowrance hd3n1 images yet?? Garmin's gt56 is 95% as good as birds side imaging. From what I've seen I think Garmin still has best live imaging. They have had most time research & development also. Again thier all good! I just got a Garmin ultra 106sv. I was looking at Solix 10 but considering there was a $1950 difference with sale prices included.
