I watched your video on "The Story of Mortal Shell" about a month ago and I got hooked: spirituality, religion, false gods, the allure of the mortal world... I first became aware of this game with the VC DLC release trailers about a year ago. I loved the aesthetics but was not looking for a melee combat game back then. It was your video that made me buy & play the game. I deeply enjoy the game play and am reading/watching everything I can find on the lore of Mortal Shell. A big thank you to you Gingy! Cheers.
I know this video is slightly old but none the less a little update/correction for the video author and those coming for Mortal shell lore/insight Tiel was associated with the fire cult NOT the Seat of infinity as his lore entries when learning about his shell mention a priest using burning ash upon his face to write words/incantations marking him as a part of their faith as such sester Genessa would have also come from that faith. Solomon was the shell associated with the seat of infinity as that's where he found a tablet about himself
@@Gingy You by chance still plan on doing any coverage on the DLC? I’m just now getting around to it and holy shit does it add some suuuper interesting bits of lore for certain characters & events.
Fun fact: Gorf also gives you the shades for the shells after you feed and play the lute for him.

But what I want to know is, why does the player character know HEMA techniques, it really surprised me.
It’s based on historical Europe with period accurate (ish) weapons and characters, who would know historical European martial arts
