I love my scroll saw. I have started to introduce people to the idea that fret work is also collectable art. Thank you for showing all this tool can do.
Great job explaining what can be done on the Scrollsaw Tyler, I always go to Steve's Good website for inspiration or to 1 of my many scrollsaw books about 30 of them from fret work to wildlife to toys there is always to cut, I sit and cut and zone out listening to music very therapeutic again Tyler Thanks for helping to keep the Scrollsaw community going
Thanks for the kind words! I truly appreciate it! I really want the scroll saw to be part of future generations workshops, epically now that laser cutters are more affordable than ever
Excellent timing! I just bought my first scrollsaw for a little project I'm working on, and as I generally do when approaching a new coat, I wandered over to Reddit to see what information there was to be had. The very first post I see in /r/Scrollsaw is your post about this video. 16 minutes later, and I'm all excited about trying out my new scrollsaw! Thanks for all the inspiration. Bonus: I see the Myrtle Beach shirt and I think, oh, maybe this Pirate fellow is a SC guy. Then I see the Scrap Exchange picture in the background and I think, oho me hearty, maybe an NC guy? Turns out we're both in the same area! (Burlington vs Hillsborough). After browsing through your other videos, I'm going to try and make a trip to Kingsport in Cary tomorrow. If I see you doing another demonstration there or elsewhere in the area, I'll definitely plan on attending! Thanks again!
Hey! Sorry for the late reply, thanks for the kind words! I'm happy to help anyone out on the scroll saw and teach them! Please don't hesitate to ask questions! And yes, I love Myrtle Beach and go frequently and love the Scrap Exchange!
My first ever scroll saw 15 years ago was a 16 inch Ryobi scroll saw about 7 years ago I have a DeWalt 78820 inch scroll saw love it and I'm thinking about upgrading to a pegasus scroll saw
I DID pick up a scroll saw second hand. The guy showed me it working, but I realised that he was holding in the button, so when I got it home, it would not work unless I had my finger on the button. I had to rig it up to keep it on permanently, and unplugging when I wanted it off. It lasted two weeks. I now buy my tools new, at least I get a warranty, and amazon is great for taking back any faulty items. I am now on my third scroll saw.
So sorry that you had issues with your first scroll saw, I always encourage anyone who wants to try scrolling to seek out someone close by with a quality scroll saw to give it a try. But, it sounds like you fell right into the hobby if you have already used 3 scroll saws!
@@ArtisanPirate yes one was the Dremel Scroll saw, it only lasted a year, due to not being able to adjust the blade - there is no tightening mechanism, so I assume the bits that hold the blade must have slackened off in some way. Anyway I had to buy one that can be adjusted and tighten the blades.
Very inspiring thank you I’m looking forward to starting this new hobby just picked up the one you started with Delta 16 inch variable speed for $40 off craigslist thank you again God bless
Hey, I do not have a video like that but my buddy Matt at "Awesome Wood Things" has a great video on taking apart and greasing a dewalt 788 saw, they are essentially the same and I used his video to grease the bearings in my Delta
So I got into scrolling, by looking on UA-cam, I thought I could do that, well I bought a Wen 16" scroll saw, used it for about 6 months, then wanted to upgraded, so I bought a Dealt 788 20" which made scrolling 100% more enjoyable
Great video. Now that the weather is clearing up, this is the motivation I need to get back out there & cut! If you haven’t seen his work yet, check out Newton Makes. Amazing.
Another great video Tyler. I am going to post this in today's blog. Thanks.
Thanks for the kind words Steve! I truly appreciate it! And I am always humbled and thankful when you share my work. Thanks so much!

The Pegus is an amazing scroll saw and a quality tool, Although, Rikon has got a scroll saw out now that is very similar to the Pegus
Great information. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful!
Your videos and work are an inspiration, keep up the great work!

I was given a hegner scroll saw and I am learning how to use it and hopefully it won't take long to become efficient on the saw
Thats awesome! Henger is top of the line! Just take your time and let the blade do the work
Might be better to ask: What can't you make with a Scrollsaw? Great job, Tyler.
Totally Right Al! Thanks!
This was a great video again and thank u for this!!
Thanks Buddy!
Of course mate
Yea I love it I can spend hours on it just get rapped up in what Iam doing on it .i started with a pinned in one from harbor freight.
Yea, I pretty much do my best thinking when I am at my scroll saw listening to music
Do you have a video pn disassembly and greasing the delta? I have the same saw but it seems a bit more vibrating than it shpuld.

Hey! I was curious if your craftsman uses the pin-held, or non-pins. Nevermind, I see you answered it. Cool!
My original scroll saw I learned on was a pinned type
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it

As In?

Thanks for your opinion but, at the beginning of this video I did say it was a discussion style video so....
Wow, this guy is really obnoxious, this video really diminishes the value of a scroll saw.
I'm sorry you have this opinion, several companies liked and shred this video, I'll try to keep improving..
