  • Hi Team,
    Using the GOLD MONSTER 1000 in some very extreme hot mineralized noisy grounds, some fun laughs and gold along the way. and also throwing a few tips in for you all. As we know the Gold Monster thrives in quiet grounds but the challenge is to work slow through hot hot grounds, gets the senses working but quite achievable. Just take your time work slow and check those targets.
    For those new to the channel - I try to upload a couple of times a week, but keep in mind some days I just can't get out detecting or maybe no targets on the day. Almost every upload is a Premiere - which is played for the very first time on UA-cam. We get many people joining the live viewing and interacting in chat while the premiere is playing. Thanks to all who joined in on the Live Premiere, you guys are awesome. And also a big thanks to who ever views the video. Your support goes a long way.
    Also I just wanted to say here in comment,
    I use the GM1000 for an extra tool in my detecting kit. It is primarily used for its sensitivity and I only use the GM05 coil on it.
    The reason being is, I am only using this machine for cleaning up in an area where I am looking for any small gold which may still be present after the GPX and GPZ.
    The GM10 coil is good for its intended purpose as well, but I dont use it because I have GPX and GPZ for big gold or deeper targets - so doesnt make sense for me to use GM10 when I have those machines yeah ;)
    I only use Manual 10 all metal - because I have done 100's of tests with many targets and target sizes in all ground types.
    There is not one setting which all operators need to stay on, that works for me and choose which ever suits you best.
    As always thanks so much and good luck on your hunt.

      Ah that is great cobber digger M.G my good ol buddy of mine. We know you use the GM1000 for super small gold after rocking in with the big machines and coils. The ones who have followed you on your journey know too well
      Why would anyone use big coils if your going for small small gold wouldnt make sense at all. But for the ones only having this machine then yeah makes sense to also use the GM10 for deeper. People cant be pleased you'll always get knob heads saying do this or do that.
      Keep up your amazing brilliant gold hunts and can't wait to get swinging with ya again. Your welcome

    Lol little stumpy pick meets little stumpy lizard 🦎 lol
    I should have known you would be a expert of the gold monster 1000 !!!!
    Watching you find that beautiful specimen in that highly mineralized ground was incredible 🤯
    I would have hit hot ground like that and just left it alone lol 😂
    I never imagined you could separate signal sounds like you did... I have once rented and used the goldmonster 1000 over a weekend and it was easy to use until you hit that sort of hot ground...
    You even found some micro “fly poop” gold with it lol ..
    Thanks for another amazing geology show
    I like the tip on looking at the dark color change in the conglomerate to know which end was the closer to bedrock!!
    I also can’t believe how much ancient river gravel conglomerate there is all over the place!!
    These were the only signs the old timers had to find the shiny and you as a modern day detectorist are using there tracks and the geology to show you the way!!
    So awesome and super appreciate you taking the time to share your incredible geology :)

      Hey hey Minin - thanks so much. Always a pleasure doing your segment
      Yeah I've used the monster for a long time. some spots 100 small pieces in one day detecting, sounds like a lot but in total gold weight not so much. But its fun using to get the small small gold which the big coils miss.
      Yeah its hard to explain but hot rocks seem to respond different, but if they are super hot its gets harder. Kind of like a bounce signal if that makes sense. Hah very small fly poop gold. As always enjoy and have a great weekend. M.G

  • @48thstateprospecting
    @48thstateprospecting 4 роки тому +3

    No offense my friend but you can’t ground balance the monster on one spot like all the other minelab. Detectors it has to have an average of the ground in each area your hunting and when it gets out of balance from a change in the ground you have to re-average it to that specific ground by moving it up and down across the area your hunting not in one spot that will help quiet it down for you maybe not all the way quiet but it should help a lot I have a link if you want to see it from a 30 year experienced detectorist/minelab dealer great video really enjoyed the change up and lmao at the geology size rock for the monster see you in the next one 👍🏻👊🏻

    • @MinelabGold
      @MinelabGold  4 роки тому

      Hey hey 48th - yeah its a unique machine hey. I generally balance in various spots. Damn used to GPX techniques filming. Holding camera and swinging away so much going on. And when I edit I actually realize Ahhh s@#t I done this or that wrong, or forgot to add this or that.
      Just like when we stop for a certain period we have to balance again. doesnt like to stay still the Monster.
      Hah thats good you enjoyed the Rock Drop in the geology fun. Always great to add a little humor. As always thanks so much.

  • @aumetalmental8403
    @aumetalmental8403 4 роки тому +1

    Wow... That would just drive me crazy, all that noise. Goes to show, it's not just a detector that finds the gold. The operator has to be able to read between all that chatter, and that's the talent part. Well done Friend. What a great video that shows how hard detecting for gold can be. I still want a couple of those little vials ur filling with gold to melt, so cool. ✌️😎

    • @MinelabGold
      @MinelabGold  4 роки тому +1

      Ahhh yes yes, for sure W - it takes a lot in hot grounds with the super sensitivity of the GM1000 - new operators need to battle through Hot grounds, then go to quiet grounds to calm down, then back to hot. And just keep practicing to get used to the way the machine talks to us. And yep many headaches for sure.
      Hey hey with those Vials dont stress - when ya order some stuff soon. I will add some extra freebies for you. And you will love it when the package arrives

    Lol how much chocolate and coke are you being supplied with 😂😂😂 Good on ya mate, just brought one yesterday and I’m loving the learning vids. As I first started watching and hearing how hot the ground was, it through me into a panic 😂 I’m brand spanking new at this game and I thought by watching other videos that this would be a breeze, but up comes your video confusing the hell out of me. The biggest lesson that jumped out to me, was knowing the machine and learning over time how to “ listen “ to it talk. Anyway I’m gonna have some fun regardless if I find gold or not. I’m not even sure if there’s Gold around this section of the Great Southern in WA.

    • @MinelabGold
      @MinelabGold  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Greg, first thanks so much for tuning in and watching. ;) Very much appreciate the support.
      To be very honest yep I think so personally it can frustrate a lot for beginners on such a sensitive little beast. And to be honest you could tune it to handle quite well I guess maybe stick it in Auto or Auto Plus to gain somewhat stability to many ground types. And just work up to operating in a manual setting
      I would say anything in the GP series would be perfect GP GPX GPZ - but maybe GPX is better than GP cause more adjustments can be made compared to GP
      GM1000 is a great extra tool for operators though. Being able to get those tiny ones some coils and other machines just cant get.
      I guess also budget and time you get out would be something to consider. If budget isnt a concern GPZ
      If gold is the primary target then yeah dont muck around go GPX or GPZ
      Hope that kind of helps and good luck on your venture. Cheers M.G
