Literally got an A for this in art class, we were supposes to make a lamp. I didn't even put in much effort, started one lesson before it was due and you could see pencil lines and ripped paper with masses of hotglue inside the lamp. Thanks!

I built this lamp with an A3 paper. For everyone interested, just multiply all the sizes in this video by the square root of 2 (1.414213) to get the sizes for the bigger paper. (The 3 cuts are then at 3.4cm, 7.5cm and 11.75cm and the radius for the circle will be 6.35cm)

Why don’t we just stick 6 whole papers first and then cut? That would be damn easy and precise.

That would actually make it more difficult to cut the paper due to its thickness and it would require to go back many times with the cutter to actually get through, making the resulting cut less clean ^^' And, just a supposition here, but to have it look good I think it might actually take even longer that way
