    How can I make a bigger size lampshade ? Please let me know . Thank you so much

      You can simply use A3 papers instead of A4 to make larger size. Or add 2 extra A4 papers to make larger diameter. Hope it helps.

    Thank you for sharing this amazing video. What kind of paper should I use for a lamp shade (flame retardant?)

      Ideally heat resistant paper if there is as such. Recently I discovered material called tyvek and it might work good for lampshade, but I’m not 100% sure. Apologies that I’m no expert that area, I’m only good at folding so I would recommend you to chat with paper suppliers if possible. Thanks

    What are the finished dimensions of this lamp shade?

    • @chienowaorigamicreations2963
      @chienowaorigamicreations2963  2 роки тому +1

      Approx 20cm diameter and 15cm height.
      If you use A3 papers then can be bigger but I never made it. I just did a quick calculation and I am guessing it will be approx 28.3cm diameter and 21cm height. Hope I am not wrong.

    What is the materials for doing that?

      I am using normal papers for this. However they are high quality papers of paper weight 120gsm, stronger paper than photocopier papers. Hope I answered your question. Thank you.

    It's really nice, the outcome is amazing. Thank you.
    But I found out that the 2 parts are exactly the same.
    The difference is that you need to rotate on of them 180 degrees to fit
    (I made 6 of the first type- for 3 lamps, and any 2 of them fit together perfectly when one is rotated).

      I take that back! I went as far as glue 2+2 together! and then they wouldn't fit anymore :))))) Unglueing

      Hope you solve the problem ok. As I explained around 12mins mark, 2 of the parts need to be alternate to assemble (eg: this order --> First pattern, second pattern, first pattern and second pattern)

    It’s nice but you’ll have to find a solution for the overlapping joints. When the light is on it shows and it does not look good at all 😬

    • @chienowaorigamicreations2963
      @chienowaorigamicreations2963  22 дні тому

      The solution is to use long paper, though there will still be one strip overlapping. Alternatively, you could incorporate the overlapping section into the design by using a cute-shaped punch or cutting out shapes to create a decorative effect.
