Not just entertaining, but talk about quality teaching! Setting out the goals, and even summarising it at the end - the civ 5 lectures continue and I am here for it.
food growth counts trade route food though. 42-26+8=24 food +50% = 36 food ps: i once tested all the growth modifiers in the editor, and i believe they all work the same except for temple of artemis and aztec garden (water mill replacement). Those 2 affect the total food (42 in this case) rather than excess, but they don't count trade routes.
Wow I feel the ethiopia revival was very unlucky! lot's of AI's got more hostile due to the denunciation and the Assyria war probably wouldn't have happened. Does keep the game very interesting though!
I feel like when two AIs declare war at once, it's the equivalent of their "shall we declare war against..." menu, which prevents them from peacing out for a couple of turns. The other problem with that is there may also be no warning ie troops massed at your border. Just my speculation
I want to make a mod pack for this game with the civs from the book series I wrote(published on Kindle now), but I think I will wait until Civ 7 to work on it. I think it would be fun to make a mod pack with a bunch of civs, kind of like the Lord Of The Rings or Supercivs packs.
I have beaten dom victory on duel map size, but I should try it on a tiny map size. I want to try it as Arabia or China because they have insanely strong unique units.
Hey both! Marathon Speed takes such a long time to play, I prefer to play Quick Speed - I enjoy doing normal speed to try a "Kill a few AI in one Era" war though, so much do Standard one time
@PCJLaw how about epic game speed? I feel that quick speed is a very different game to the slower game modes. Trades are brutal in the slower game speeds and I think you have less opportunities to maximize gpt from trades, but you also get significantly more unit time compared to quick speed, which lets unique units shine more. Players also benefit more from loans in slower game modes, since purchasing infrastructure for immediate benefit more than offsets the cost, especially in marathon. Plus you can always cheese it with a big loan 1 turn before end of friendship and then war the following turn.
6 days that felt like eternity
The territory now is quite cool, a huge glory river through it, and plenty of production tiles for all cities.
This map is insane - looking forward to Hydro Plants!

Someone personally recommended you as the current leading expert on civ 5, definitely very informative videos
Whoever recommended him is correct, PC is the best. at least at solo Deity gameplay
Around the 20 minute mark, I would have built another 1 or 2 workers. It looks like you were not getting enough tiles improved.
Changing my early game strategy according to your tips has improved my game by at least 100%.
I don't think I've seen the AI revive someone before.
It was news to me too 😂
The Minmaxer in me, wanted his Captital on the Silver Tile, neverless, awesome Content.
Back with the best CIV game ? I'm in

No chance of open borders with Ethiopia now.😂😂😂😂 who knows maybe you’ll be friends in the future.
How about a marathon speed game?
Id like a normal speed one just so i can get the sense of where im supposed to be, but marathon is also fun :)
