I like it a lot. Surely plans are expected to be tweaked by clients - they do not have to be 'set in concrete'. I do not like the main entrance to be part of the lounge - it seems to be an American thing, so I would put the kitchen at the entrance. And maybe make the living areas a bit smaller and have an atrium 😄🤩.

This is a unique design, and in many ways it works. The only spaces with odd angles are the laundry room and the pantry, and they both still function well. I like the inclusion of the office, which could be used as a guest bedroom. Like with too many other plans, the living room is dominated by a fireplace, which is a poor source of heat, and a TV high above it for uncomfortable viewing. An entertainment center would be a more functional use of the space. The compact kitchen has additional counter and storage too many steps away. Still, I like the creative use of an unusual shape, and with some reworking of the large living and kitchen/dining areas, it could be a showplace!
Compact kitchen? That's one word for the mess. Plenty of space, disastrous execution. Earns the house a failing grade in my books.
Unique design. Kitchen isn’t really functional but I love the
Pantry. Laundry is fine too. Master bed/bath is great, and I like the office which could be a bedroom too. Living room is nice. I think my problem would be with HVAC and uneven heating and cooling of the home. Might have to have 2 systems? If I built a separate garage, where would I enter the home?
Yes, an underfloor heating system is best, and you will need to build a garage next to the house.
I do like this design! I would make the back a covered porch - nice. The kitchen can be accommodated for more counter space and larger dining table. I love that there is enough room for my baby grand piano. The important thing is that this home can be made to fit my husband and my needs as retirees. Where would the garage be placed?
With such house designs, it is necessary to construct a garage beside it.

Preferring one stories, I absolutely love this design with the curved center. The only revision I would prefer for myself would be to somehow work in an island as a work station while enjoying the view outdoors. Great basic plan for inspiring ideas. Many thanks from Texas.

Wish I can afford a new house. My house is old the wires electrical are fall apart. The floor are separating. I am on a fix income and I thank God that at least I have shelter and yet it has problems that I can't find any way to fix them.

Question: Do small house designers never cook? The kitchen in this is a nightmare of lousy design and worse layout. Ruins the entire house. I strongly suggest learning how kitchens function.
The best people to design kitchens are those of us who have worked in a domestic one - yes, a housewife or similar - for at least 30 years!
You nailed it, and no they clearly don’t cook, galley kitchen with no food prep space is terrible. My wife grew up in the restaurant her family owned, I asked her input designing our kitchen and it paid off big time.
