How on EARTH has this man not ( as far as I’m aware ) been given work by Hollywood, etc., for vocal work !? Animation and so forth ! This is bloody inexcusable ! He’s wielding one of the lovliest speaking voices to be heard, never mind the singing !
Certainly not the same accent he had when i did the sound engineering for early Whitesnake, totaly lost his wild northern Redcar roots. Poshest rocker around. What an absolute pleasure it was to work with him.....for 2 - 3 years too... Rock on David👍🇬🇧
I’ve met and said hello to DC absolute gem of a bloke he don’t look down on anyone he’s been like many other talented people surrounded by jealousy and egos glad he’s survived the idiots I wish him well
This man is a living legend. Imagine having been the frontman of Deep Purple during their best-selling period, being there when the band split, and then creating another legendary band with Whitesnake.
Yes he was with DP when they won gold and silver for sales, but those sales were for DP Mk2, not Mk3. Hence why he sang in the song Breakdown, "But I never saw the splendour, in taking all your gold, stealing all your silver, and doing what I'm told."
The best thing about being in our age group is seeing everyone live . I've seen everyone from Janis Joplin when I was 14years old Clapton and Rush both several times to Skynyrd the list is endless. I've never had the opportunity to see Whitesnake and I have to say David Coverdale is my all time favorite and I hope I get the chance to see them before he stops touring. Yes whenever I feel like damn it getting old sucks I just remember all of the wonderful times and people in my life and it's worth getting older.
Why I praise the times of your generation, imagine being a teen in the 80s and being able to see all these heavy metal bands live and in their prime!?? Fuck me that’s something I’ll never be able to experience, lucky indeed
@@ScottishTeeVee The 70's were full of cheap great concerts and amazing double and triple billed shows. It seemed like there was at least one every week in Seattle. Good times! And yes, I was VERY fortunate to experience just about every rock legend live. Very lucky!!
I saw the Burn tour at the Houston Astrodome on Aug 31 1974. Blackmore and Hughes were incredible. Like opposite twins on either side of the stage, both with natural finish Fenders. Glorious show! Opening acts were Nazareth, Elf and J. Geils Band. Only the biggest of the big ever played the Astrodome. The Stones, Elvis and Purple. There’s a bootleg of the Kansas City Arrowhead Stadium show on the internet from a few nights before the Houston show. Thanks for taking me dad!

I used to listen to "Little Nicky Horne" on capital radio as a teenager in 1975 and David Coverdale was one of my heroes from Depp purple's "Burn" and "Come Taste the Band" albums around then. Great to see them both surviving and thriving 45 years later....

Very nice, enjoyed this video. Absolutely a down to earth person and so full of positive energy. You have had a very blessed life, even struggles.... But you kept moving forward and your musical talent is amazing.
One of the greatest rock singers, beside Paul Rodgers, Steven Tyler and Gregg Allman. My favorite singer from the eighties. His bluesy voice on Ready an' Willing and Come an' Get It is something special. Only Chris Cornell later could sing with that much power and hit those high notes. God bless him.
