@ST 068 Agreed. I just thought Mercury never sang "live" like he sang on the studio albums. Whereas Covernote did. Also I felt that Queen's albums were a bit weak. My two fave queen albums are the Greatest Hits. But Queen and Whitesnake were both excellent bands. And would both get in my Top 5 faves.

Such a shame as he had such a lovely tone. He damaged it by pushing it too hard above his natural baritone range. Purple originally wanted Paul Rodgers but he had just got Bad Company going. Paul's voice hasn't changed much at all in over 50 years, still the best rock singer, in my opinion obviously.
I used to live near him in the Lake Tahoe area. I ran into him once. Very laid back and charming man. Incredibly talented as well. His work with Jimmy Page in the early 90's was fantastic!

I believe there was hurt between them over their divorce as well as a love that is forever. Pride is a bitter pill to swallow and they,both, had several to leave them with a bad after taste. Real Love never goes away. He was deeply saddened by her death and will miss her. RIP Tawny.

She continued to work and join him on tours when they were together for over 4 years.
