Those are NOT self Drilling Screws, they ARE Self Tapping Screws, you have to drill a pilot hole first so they self tap into the pilot hole. Did you clean both surfaces and prepare them before final fix?

That's not an e reg it's a personalised plate?
No its original plate - but it has been changed about - it has a galv chassis etc.
