haha, so uh, it might not have anything to do with the fact that it's a studio producing videos? If it was a workshop not producing videos it obviously would not look as nice...
As a former electrician I love that you used the proper tools and fused your build. I saw too many videos of people creating fire and electrical hazards.
The design is beautiful and the person used mostly proper tools and techniques. Never use solder on an electrical connection. This is even more true when the connection is under stress - such as this project. Never use a screw or any other thread as an attachment point to fasten a wire in place. The fuse should probably be on the power input of the power supply - although one on the load side as well is nice. It looks like the homemade power supply had only a two wire input. With a metal case, it needs to be 3 wire - to accommodate an equipment ground. The only shortcoming mechanically I saw was that it will accommodate only one diameter of bottle.

Wonderful innovation. Love all your equipment (wish I had them). Now we've learned to make plenty of beautiful vases , pen holders etc for the family. Good work.
I saw a similar but much simpler approach in the 1950s in Popular Mechanics and I tried it and it works just as well as the one here. The idea is the same. Score the bottle with a glass cutter or carbide knife as done here. But, rather than build the contraption shown, simply wrap a strand of straight nichrome wire around the bottle on the score line, apply tension (a weight, spring, etc.), and apply electricity - no bottle spinning necessary - and the bottle breaks at the score line. As a note, if you are going to cut a bottle, it is a good idea to have some abrasive handy (carborundum is really good) in order to smooth the edges of the bottle - they are sharp and will cut you.

Ok. So same idea. Faster and cheper. But less engeneer : wrap a wool twine around the bottle where you want to cut. Put rubbing alcohol on the twine. Light. When the wool and alcohol is burnt, dunk in ice water. (You make micro fracture with a dimond blade too to start) Great video

When I think of precision, I think of your channel! I’d love to see how you would build an MFT - similar to what Festool makes, but with your own unique spin. There are so many bad videos on this subject, but very few good ones. Specifically, people build MFTs that are ok for clamping, but not necessarily to be used for square. They never guarantee that their 20mm holes on 96mm centers are accurately placed. Which always makes me wonder why they go through the process of making so many holes if they cannot be used for accuracy? The reality is that accuracy is not easy, but extremely important!
I hope the video is meaningful to you.
If you like the video, please introduce it to your friends and social media !
is there part two? because using heat by itself will not cut the glass as you showed, I am sure you used diamond blade or something similar first.
