My personal theory is that the environment and nurture has a huge effect on personality. And therefore, season and/or month personality traits are caused by if the parents (or guardians) are affected by the seasons and how much they are affected.
That’s exactly what I was thinking but you definitely have the better wording!

It's a very interesting theory. I often wondered about this myself, but going off of people I know I've found very little correlation. I was born in the Winter, and can very much agree with the out of the box thinking. As for irritability it depends on a lot of things. Probably the most interesting thing for me is if I do get SAD, it's the transition from Winter to Spring. Winter is my favorite season, so to see it turn from a beautiful landscape, to months of mud, bugs, allergies, and rain gets me down every time. I also get depressed in the winter months whenever I see grass. Yet I talk to other Winter babies, and I've only met one other that shares my love for Winter.
I completely agree, this gets me down too, and I was born at the end of Summer (just before its transitioning into Autumn). I love Autumn and Winter the most, Spring and Summer just get me depressed, they're uncomfortable seasons.

I was born in the winter and I have SAD but it's in the winter I get depressed. I actually moved someplace warm because it was somewhat severe.
Yeah I was born in January, so winter, and I hate winter! I hate cold because it is extremely painful! And snow is one of the worst things in existence in my opinion.
My best guess for influence that seasonal changes might have depend on these factors:
1. Latitude you are born in on what time of year. Being born on the equator in the middle of winter is very different than being born in Alaska in winter.
2. Photoperiodic changes. Goes along with the 'Latitude' comment. Changes in natural levels of Vitamin D, serotonin, etc. which comes from direct sunlight exposure may have some influences.
3. Temperature in the seasons. Best guess would be that some hormones and proteins are secreted more in different seasons. Perhaps some of these go over to the fetus and can influence personality??? Maybe in a similar way to how nutrition can affect metabolism of the child as a fetus??

I agree. And as I also answered, resource availability, depending upon the season and where in the world you were born plays a significant role in infant development/mortality and the general health of the pregnant/nursing woman. In the same way some animals only have young during certain times of year, for most of human history the availability of resources greatly determined whether or not your infant survived, and that in turn would affect brain development and thereby personality.

I think the small correlation in our personality depending on the seasons we're born are based on the stages of development and when they take place. people act and behave differently during certain weather changes. you are going to have core memories in different parts of your most memorable (earliest) developmental stages depending on the seasons you're born. For example holidays, big storms, etc. are going to be different forming the mind of a 10 month old vs a 14 month old. We just grow so fast in those earlier stages
I think where we're born in relation to the school year can make a big difference! I was born in May (optimistic yet depressed checks out lol), I was one of the younger ones amongst my year group and I think that helped shape me into someone who's more quiet and observant on the whole
Spring break was always the week before my birthday on March 30th, and prom was held the week of my birthday. But also I was one of the oldest in my class (despite being one of the shortest :P)

Your birth month can also affect whether you're slightly bigger or smaller than the other kids in your kindergarten class, which can give you a self-image of being more or less athletic or more or less mature. This can have lasting effects through life.
I also wonder if having a birthday on or close to a holiday might affect your personality.

I'm going to keep this short... this one video sounds a lot more like a horoscope to me. Something that's written to sound like it fits you no matter who you are.
There are bits of every season that sound like they fit me, and like they totally don't fit me.
What I notice the most is that, because I'm born in the Summer, while watching the video I paid more attention to the traits that are mentioned to correlate more to Summer people.
I also pay less attention to the misses because the bits that did hit sort of overshadowed it, until I paid closer attention to what else was being said a second time.
I like theories of psychology, but I'm not so sure about this one. It sounds like a lot of placebo effect.
Being someone born in August, I can see some truth with susceptibility to mood swings. While not often, I do have moments where my mood flips on a dime, usually from great happiness to sadness.

I was born in May and seeing depression, silverlinings AND optamism fits me really well. I always try to be positive about things for others but i also understand the reality of every situation, and im pretty numb and sleepy the mayority of the time but i know to appreciate the world and opportunities i've been given. This helps alot with me trying to understand myself better and i hope it helps you too^^

Generally speaking I don't think it's time born alone that affects who we are; I also think it's how we grow up. People who grow up having it hard; and lived in rough conditions or under strict and harsh parents can be a factor. Seasons alone I don't think contribute wholly to the point

Apparently my mother ate copious quantities of toffee apples while pregnant with me, and they were the closest thing to a “weird” craving for the whole duration.
As for birth month, I was due in mid-November, yet my actual date of birth is ten days earlier. The weirdest thing? My brother and I had the _exact_ same due date, meaning we were almost certainly conceived on the same day in our respective birth years (14th February being the most likely).
As a _Star Wars_ fan from way back, I’m just glad my half-birthday is on May the Fourth. 😁

As someone born in May, I would say the description given for people born in Spring matches up pretty well
I was born on a very warm late day of May and I do feel sad very often und do have regular mood swings, but I also see the silver lining in most cases. Makes me kind of a sad and emotional optimist. So this does fit very well.
I also have recognised a pattern referring to weather sensitivity. So people born in Winter ususally do not care for cold days and rooms so much, as I am freezing very constantly, when it gets below 10 degrees celsius, while I do not care much when it gets over 30 degrees celsius.

What a pity that despite the initial question Psych2Go never mentions that about half of the differences in individual human behavior can be explained by the genes that we inherit which is much, much greater than any seasonal influence.
Why not make a video about how strong the influence of our genes actually is on our behavior?
What about those of us in the Southern hemisphere? Would the month or the season be more applicable in our case?
My birthday is in June and then Christmas in December, I only ever got a new toy on those occasions, so I feel like it made me grow up with a happy occasion every 6 months and affected my mood, I feel like people who have birthdays closer to Christmas then have to wait a whole year might fair differently if they had a similar childhood

Birth month also determines when you start school and clubs. A lot of NHL players were born in January because that was the cutoff for when younger leagues let you play so the Jan babies were the oldest, in really young leagues this can make you more coordinated than the younger kids. I am a summer baby and was one of the youngest in my classes because of where school cutoffs were. I would think these things affect you more than just your birth month since it places you with slightly older/younger kids depending on birth month

I always wondered about that. I have a small theorie or an idea. Maybe the first few months after we are born have a more significant effect on our personality than we think. For a baby born in e. t. summer the first few months are warm and the people around him tend to be more open and joyful. Even thou the baby doesnt conciously thinks about that, but the basic feel of the situation is different. Maybe these first few month set a emotional baseline for further charakter development. Similar to the eye that needs "feedback" from the world to "calibrate" itself.

Interesting how the seasonal transitions equinox months weren't referenced. My maternal grandma was born March 3 (technically winter) and my mom March 25 (technically spring) while I was born September 17 (technically summer) and my paternal grandma September 24 (technically fall). I guess we're complicated lol
Your personality is created by how your mind developes and takes in information. Majority of the time, your interests is what makes the largest impact on your personality. For an example, me. I lived with my dad (who is very spiritualy conected and strongly believes in Karma) He had a big interest in zodiac signs and astronomy. Which in turn, rubbed off on me. I looked into my zodiac (Scorpio) at a very young age. Due to this, I unconciously built my personality like my zodiacs description. So to sum it up, the MONTH itself has little effect on your personality. The expiriences and information you take in at a young age has a MASSIVE effect on personality.

Irritability, no bipolar, and very little depression… in fact, the few times I have had depression in my life so far, it's gone away without professional or medical intervention, and didn't last long

My birthday is December 23 two days after winter solstice. I do have depression issues and think outside of the box. But this video applies the season to the month that would only work in certain parts of the world.

I'm an October baby and that makes MORE sense on my personality, I'm actually easily annoyed by various things.

My birthday is four days before Christmas, so for me the whole Advent/Christmas season has always truly been the most wonderful time of the year. Being a winter baby in a state that gets snow has made me love winter despite how gloomy it can get at times.
Plus, I think being a solstice baby is one of the reasons I’m an astronomy nerd.

I am just going to say I have three friends including me who are born in November and we are really sensitive. If someone says your outfits bad to us. We will really start breaking down and crying. We are super sensitive.

I was born in August; diagnosed with BiPolar 1 & 2 in 2008. Also diagnosed with BPD in 2016. However, I can be very extravagant 🤣🤣
The May thing is frustratingly accurate. And seeing the silver lining isn't always a good thing. Some of the ones I've seen are pretty morbid, to the point that I wish I didn't think like this.

Haven't watched yet but I would like to point something out: Most people celebrate their birthdays when they're kids right? So, you growing up celebrating your birthday in a specific season (going to the beach in summer, chrismas village in the winter) could affect your personality.

Not really sure if I believe this. I'd say I'm quite creative when it comes to art and interior decorating for example and I was born in September, the last month of Summer (my mom has always had an amazing eye for the same stuff and she was also born in September, all of my siblings who are creative were born in Summer, the only one who isn't was born in Winter/Spring). However, I hate Summer and I love the cold season best for example. 🤷 At least I don't suffer with the heat, it helps me feel more energetic/happier and I tend to want to go out more.
