That literally makes no sense. The game is not a representation of the story, it is the story. How could anything possibly be better? That's like saying "this drawing of that horse is a better represantation of how that horse looks like than the actual horse". HOW?

The game world is set to a backdrop of a complicated set of events that occur post GoW trilogy and 2018, yet the writing, themes, and dialogue are more akin to a Guardian of The Galaxy film. The game took itself seriously despite being full of quips, forced wise cracks, and strained comic relief moments. To simply put it, what a story represents encompasses more than just the story told itself. If you are not able to grasp that, I would recommend reading books.
