Iconic Aussie Waves - Noosa

Noosa stands along within the Australian lineup landscape with three separate waves all feeding into the next starting at Granites, moving north to Tea Tree and into the boiling pot and 'National Parks' before ending down at First Point. Heath Joske and Harley Ingleby give us the run-down.

My home for a year in 89. Coming here to work from the uk and ending at cafe le monde. One morning surfing in little cove I ended up crying on my board with my feet tucked up as a shark fin passed inches from me. A local yelled to me “ it’s a fucking dolphin ya bloody idiot” Good times!

Noosa was overwhelmed by tourist years ago and now you will be lucky to find an actual local in the line up!!!
Too many mal riders who hog all the waves!!!
The place is a write-off!!!

Dolphins’ tails move up and down, sharks tails move side to side. That fish’s motion was side to side.

cause the dolphin was riding the wave bro he didnt need to fin through the water he was nosing left and right to stick with the wave without losing the power position

So stoked to see my local break been ridden by others! Tea tree is such a great spot it needs more attention. Well I say that but at the same time I don’t want it to be known like kirra because then the line up gets way to busy
