The French love their parades, so you did them justice showing off the awesome paint work! But yeah most of the pieces will never see the game board. Nice series of videos! 👍
Bit late, but Picoarmor has a bit of french aircraft in 1/600 scale. GHQ has some tanks and ships roughly around the scale of this game. Awesome paint jobs by the way.
hehe, i am that guy who has too many color schemes, i guess...:)but, we havent had too much trouble yet identifying the different nations. i have painted more decals/nation markers on my sculps, that might be the reason. If i were to paint another set (which i i am not going to), i would have sticked to one color scheme per nation (or two, with subtle/minor differences, like yours)...i like the box/compartment that you use for storage!
Some of our OG players are older, this is why my card deck was made bigger then one would expect, gotta be able to easily read them... those players are the ones who had difficulty in the pieces, when I did Germany and added Afrika Corp, that's all I needed to know, it was a pain not only in getting mixed up, the units would end up in the wrong tray at cleanup, or during game play... then they would pop up on a different country's purchase lol.... like I said, those got pulled from the game, and some others were redone...if your players are good with it, then epic... I would love to be able... if my only players were Teflon and John, id be able to have them all painted different and epic, as they are more then a buff then me!
yup, all of them... they are 80% great packs, some of them were horrid as you have to cut them out, makes it hard to get them out of the water, they decals come off, and fold over on itself, rendering it ruined...if your doing numbers, and you get one side... and the other gets ruined, then you have to redo the first side and try again with a different number as it comes with 2 each. I wouldn't recommend putting numbers on them, it was a terrible experience. As for nation markers, those were great.
Think we missed th U.K. transport.. not that its a big deal, but I really like the way you did the Russian ones. Maybe Anzac or Japan next, save the best for last with Germany(but thats just my $0.02) Again, great job! I am picking up tips and tricks, just by watching these, thx.
siredblood, your missing kangaroo mechs. The OOB mech is the priest mech. I like how you picked other pieces, besides Russian pieces. Love the close ups of your painted units. What kind paints do you use? What color is the blue on French air force? Awesome job on these videos. Cheers! John
I used the kangaroo for ANZAC ( I think, kangaroo is the turret less tank?)... I only use acrylic paint, with the exception of red/yellow for slam details, then I use enamel. The light blue, as all my colors, is a custom mix, so unfortunately has no name. When I find a scheme I like, I sit here and mix it till it right... sometimes starting over as its not working out.
awww man. I know you are a stickler for detail.... your UK plane decals are wrong. Blue and red on top of the wing... yellow, blue, white, red on the side if the plane underside if the fighters.... blue , white, red. underside of bombers.... midnight blue... no decal. fyi ... I am a subscriber to your channel, a huge fan of AnA. and you really got me into painting my mini's for AnA. so thanx for making me spend more money on paints and decals AND more mini's... lol 👌🤣 thank you for your channel m8!
Basically everything lol, I’m starting a group here in Mexico with my friends, but we specially need units from France, China, Italy and ANZAC, because the version we got didn’t bring those units
@@siredblood I too would be interested in knowing what you'd ask for a grandmaster set of all pieces! I usually rock AA50 so I'd be interested in a reduced set depending on how much I can afford at the time, but my ultimate goal is 1940 global as well! Are you able to suggest what it would cost perhaps with and without your custom unit boxes?
Really great job on these units. The custom UK soldiers will make a nice addition to your UK collection.
Thanks bro! And yup! Ill be painting the Russian ones first though, those will be great for the painting tut.

Thanks for the tip! Someone gave me some metal French ships, not sure who made them, I’m going to make a mold off them and pour plastic ones.
Where did you get the renault ft? My go to place(HBG) doesn't seem to carry them. I could've swore they did at some point though

Ah, I overlooked it. Thanks. You did not lie, they are not cheap
Could you use the the 1914 French and Russian ships?

Yes, the turret less mech is the kangaroo. Well you do a good job mixing paint. I've tried to that, I just get the right color, lol.

For the flag on your ship, you need the real flag of the royal navy!!
