Followed all the guidelines however although successfully linked my echo dot doesn't make a sound when ring is pressed, any ideas? Settings are setup correctly also
Same here. It says it’s connected in the app but Alexa can’t talk to it and I’m not getting notifications on any of the Alexas in the house. The conspiracy terrorist in me says it’s a ploy by the Ring company to buy their own bespoke “Chimes“!?
Hi. I’ve followed all these steps but still not getting notifications on Alexa echo dot when someone presses the doorbell? Any ideas where I’m going wrong?
If accounts are already linked (likely during setup), this is very confusing. Ultimately, find the Camera in Divises and make sure 'DOORBELL PRESSED ANNOUNCEMENTS' is switched on.
I hate answering my door I have terrible anxiety so I'm gonna buy this set it's 50 quid in curry's. I don't like Amazon but hey ho I don't like going to the door either.
Sadly iv done all in the video and everything shows correctly but still the devices done ring when they ring the doorbell and many times we don't even know some1 is outside cause we don't hear the door bell from the alexas 🥺
Hi there my echo dot says your alexa enabled device doesn't currently support this I used your video to set ot up I wonder of you have any trouble shooting tips for my issue? I have contacted amazon but they were less than helpful
Hi. I can't seem to get the Alexa App to show my Ring Doorbell V2 live feed. The chime etc works, just not the live vid. The screen in Alexa sits there spinning it's wheels, but I see nothing. However, when I open the Ring App, I can see that it was recording the live feed in Ring, but not showing it in Alexa. Any ideas? TIA. T :)
No It doesn't 😬 it seems amazon have deliberately bugged it so that people buy a chime instead of returning thd bundle. It works fine with my older echos
Hi, I have a Ring Doorbell Pro 2 and the echo dot 4th gen, I can get the notifications with no issues but when I try to "talk to the front door" it just does not work. The dot says "OK" but does nothing, the green light does not come up, how do you enable the mic?
@@DanielWestow Thanks, I have done so and I can now speak to the front door through the Echo dot, but now it doesn't give me announcements when there's movement outside, which was working well. Thanks, will try and sort it out.
Yes, the issue is the ring doorbell 2 is the old 2.5g and works on 3g. That was phased out. You need to upgrade to doorbell 4 or later. I say 4 because doorbell 3 is soon to be phased out also.
You don't give the correct directions all of these things that you say are on the app for the ring doorbell aren't there. Everybody's phone is different and you're giving directions as to how your phone works

Same problem here 😢

Great video 👍🏾
Appreciate it

Me either. 😢

Really useful vid thanks
Thank you for the step by step configuration,
Very helpful. Thanks
Your welcome.
@@DanielWestow will this work with blink doorbell?
Is there a way to make the announcement or Chile louder, even if the echo is turned down previously?

Same here! Have you found a solution? I noticed that my doorbell works great with echo 3th gen and "doesn't support.." with 5th gen ones
Thank you kindly :-)
Followed all of this however it doesn’t make the sound, anyone else having this problem?
Me. I can not hear when some presses the doorbell thru the dot
Does it work with ring floodlight?
I've got a problem that once I'm speaking to front door Alexa won't disconnect no matter what command I give so the whole street can hear me!
I need the Alexa app to connect the ring?
You do yes.
Which Ring doorbell do you recommend?

Hi, Have you tried disabling the skill and the re enabling it?

I couldn't gey my echo to talk to the ring doorbell for some reason
will this work with blink doorbell??
Yes. I am posting a video showing how this works on Saturday.
this didnt work for me. any suggestions?
does the ring doorbell need to be wired?
No. It can run on batteries.
This no longer works for the latest update of the Ring and Alexa app.

It should just work. I would try unlinking the ring skill and then link it back again
