    One can be a life long Viking fan and not be blind to plausible defeat. Further, one can watch anyway, with aspiring hope forthis year and next, while remaining realistic. That said, forthe first time in 55 years of rooting for the Vikings, I donot view a single prospective playoff opponenent with dread. The last time I feltthis way was in 2004...(I am a Red Sox fan as well. So I have come to know heart break and ultimate reward for dedicated team support.

    This team may have the best set of coaches of the any Vikings team since the 70’s. Darnold is getting better every week. His unknown ceiling makes this team really intriguing. Who knows how good offensively they can be?

      Other than Burnsy and Dennis Green, Vikes have a lot of HCs with glaring fatal flaws. Tice teams were undisciplined and sloppy, Chilly was a poor leader and too rigid, and we all know how things turned out with Zim. Hopefully they can finally get over line w/ KO

    Think about this! The Vikes are undefeated in December, against NFC foes. Let that sink in. They are peaking at the right time. This win against GB solidified the locker room.

    Been saying 14-3 here for weeks.
    Updating my prediction.
    15-2
    I've never been this confident and relaxed about my Vikings. Been a fan since 1985. 1987 was just so cool to the 12 year old version of me. I kinda figured they'd win one soon......yah silly me.
    Then the 90's happened, with lots of winning seasons, but alas numerous 1st round exits.
    Then there have been those other seemingly "special" season.
    1998.
    41-0
    Overtime loss, bounty gate.
    Pumpkin.
    2024??????
    Skol!

    Great win against the Packers but the kicking game did concern me some... Reichart looked sub par.. he needs to step that up next week. we cannot afford to miss field goals from here on out!

    The Vikings get the Lions on a short week, AFTER they have to travel to the West Coast, to play another NFC team. Same situation when the Vikings had to play on a short week against the Rams, against another West Coast NFC foe. I hope the Lions get into a brawl that exhausts the team physically, mentally and emotionally and are worn out by the time they get to Sunday's game. The Vikings are healthy, the Lions are beat up on defense and the Vikings need to bury the Lions and not leave it to the last quarter. We do not need another nail biter on Sunday.

  • @sizzlemann
    @sizzlemann 3 дні тому

    The Vikings need to win Sunday. We all know how much that game will drain them. Remember how they laid an egg in LA after that tough game against Detroit earlier this season. I feel, if they lose, we'll get the same outcome in Tampa Bay. No energy left.

    Nitpicker here: (as this is the channel to do so...lol)
    That Jefferson crossing route low catch for a key first down (late) was "dangerous" and amazing at the same time because Hockinson and Addison were doing the same routes and were in the same vicinity along with a WHOLE SLEW OF GB Packer defenders !?!?!?! LOOK at it on film/video; see for yourself.
    Was this drawn up by KOC to be this way or did some WR/TE make a mistake route wise????

    With Patrick Jones out for this game watch Jihad Ward and especially Dallas Turner to get to Goff. I think Dallas Turner is the fastest of the four edge rushers and I predict he will have a monster day. I know the young man and he is dying to prove he was worth a first round pick. There is no doubt the Vikings defense is in far better health than the Lions who are totally decimated. Both teams can score a ton of points, but only one can stop the other one on defense. The last game has little meaning on this one! The Vikings are better now, the Lions defense is worse now and that game was a two-point difference. The Vikings were ONE 3rd down conversion away from winning that game, they will win this one. I predict Vikings 45-34 win and Goff gives up three picks. I think the Vikings will have a one score lead late in the fourth quarter and they will seal the game before the 2:00 minute warning.

    Scoldmeifyou wantto,but KOC and BFLO are the best Viking coachesin Viking history. Vikingcoaches have typically hadnearly the best talentin the league,often. This time,the talentis ascending, but the coaching is innovative. KOC passing scheme decision trees are next level. BFLO disguise systemis innovative. Watch NFL teams copy this the next 3 years.

    Until the Vikings fix the issue of the defense fading late and letting teams come back in the othe game we’re not gonna get far. We always do that. We dominate looking unstoppable, then slowly letting the other team back in towards the end. And Donald is standing way too long in the pocket and I’m noticing the weaknesses in our run offense.also

    Dude....Murphy you don't know anything about the 1998 defense. It was better than you say. It was beaten up badly by the champ game but they were not one dimensional.

    • @kargs5krun
      @kargs5krun 4 дні тому

      They indeed had some/a few all pro caliber individuals on D that yr but we'd have to look at the stats to qualify/quantify the 1998 D status; as well as factor in the "O" scoring quickly and making the D play more snaps than they should've. Also, IMO, Randle (et al) should've been rested/sub'd in the St Louis Cardinal playoff game once it was decided early. As I recall, he got hurt late in that one and it showed up some in the Atlanta champ game.

    That interception was not that bad. He DID throw into double coverage, but there were a dozen such throws that could have been intercepted. Watch the film! He could have had xix picks in that game and got beat once on a good throw and a very good interception. That was not a sloppy throw.

    • @seevemonka1
      @seevemonka1 4 дні тому +1

      Sorry, it was a terrible decision to throw that ball. He does that sometimes. It brought packers back in it but Fortunely he just shrugged it off and made other plays to win game.

    • @Daunte1984
      @Daunte1984 4 дні тому

      He has a few close calls each game, scary sometimes, like tipped balls, almost fumbles , just barely landing on the turf.

      Very good interception? That was a gimme lob right to the CB. I don't think Darnold saw him.

    You don’t know why Rivera is getting HC interviews and Flores isn’t? Dude sued the Dolphins, Jets, and Broncos…claiming racial discrimination.
    Nobody wants to, potentially, have to deal with a nightmare like that.

    • @vikings_fans_anonymous
      @vikings_fans_anonymous 4 дні тому +1

      There’s that, but it’s also availability rules.
      Rivera is a free agent coach so he can interview whenever. Currently employed coaches have certain availability windows for interviews

    • @johnnycook1035
      @johnnycook1035 4 дні тому

      So a guy who is suing for racial discrimination is ok to hire as a top assistant coach but not the head coach? Two organizations had the balls to hire him, despite the lawsuit- Steelers and Vikings. It’s paid off significantly for the Vikings. If you’re an owner and you want to win and you think Brian Flores can create a winning team and culture you’d be a fool not to hire him- lawsuit or not. Flores seems to be a principled man. Perhaps he did see and experience racism

      Additionally, defensive-minded HCs aren’t in vogue right now. Teams are looking for the McVays, O’Connells, Shanahans, etc types.

    I like Murph but wtf were those percentages going to the Super Bowl of 85% if we get home field and 70% if we don't? 😂 Dude you should be putting your entire net worth on Vikings winning NFC if you truly believe that. Pretty cringe take.

    My favorite stat from today, last time the vikes swept the regular season series vs gb? 2017. Granted one was vs their backup qb. The last time before that? 2009.
    37:33 lol nah man yall trippin. We played 8 home games 8 road games and 1 game at a neutral site (London). We didn’t play 9 road games. That’d be the nfl opening themselves up to a lawsuit if we missed the playoffs by 1 game lol
    Edit: I’m not sure how I feel about this Detroit game. Obviously I want the division I want the 1 seed I want home field. But we’re the hottest team in football. And it’s awfully hard to string together 13 straight wins. I almost want to get a loss out of the way that way the winning streak isn’t hanging over our heads as we roll into the playoffs.

      Flores will prepare better for Goff's quick passes this coming game Was "killer" last time they met. Gibbs carrying the load alone? Detroit D on 2nd and 3rd string? Going to be shoot out most likely (like the Bills game was). Lions may lose some more to injury after this one. Hoping for good game un-affected by bad officiating. 🙏

    I am a Viking im going out to war
    And I've got death upon my mind
    As I was leavin' oh yesterday
    I've got no fear in my heart
    As the shores of my home disappear
    I sail over the sea without fear
    Dragon ships are charging through the waves
    Just want to sail away into the sea yeah yeah
    I am a warrior my mind is set to kill
    Life or death is on the line
    I am a slayer and you will taste my steel
    I've got your life right in my hand
    As the shores of my home disappear
    I sail over the sea without fear
    Dragon ships are charging through the waves
    Just want to sail away into the sea yeah yeah
    You are a loser and it's such a shame
    That you're a fool and you don't know
    That in a viking I'll walk all over you
    And by my sword you will die
    As the shores of my home disappear
    I sail over the sea without fear
    Dragon ships are charging through the waves
    Just want to sail away into the sea yeah yeah
