Does anyone know why in many of the videos the outsole maker's logo is taped over when showing the edging and finishing process? The leather on these boots is beautiful.
Im curious how comfortable it is compared to a gussetted tongue since this tongue is full thickness. Also id appreciate if you'd say what the leather is in the description

I would think to protect it from the stain they use for the edge color and/or from the sanding process.
*I asked the same thing on a different video. Nicks said it was to make sure that area didn't get dirty from the stain.*
