    Having worn Irish Setters for a few years, I can really appreciate the extra space in a larger toe box area. The ability to move your toes around to keep the circulation going is under stated.
    As a welder, I'd want the composite toe, NFPA sole and stitching. As well as smooth leather, that way the sparks, slag, and spatter can roll right off with out hanging up in the suede.

    First off great video, and the semi long video explaining everything is very comforting, it takes the amount of phone calls down for simple questions and gives your viewers a chance to take a breath and think about there options. You did leave out the lineman patch for anyone who is on poles often and wares down the inside of there boots more often. Personally I think taking photos of a customers boots and having a separate category just for pictures would be a great addition to your website. with different color combinations, heights, and various options of a customers boots, future customers could take a look and see what they like.

    • @nicksboots
      @nicksboots  3 роки тому +3

      That's a great idea! As for the lineman patch, they're so rare anymore and most people don't need them. If they do, we still offer the Lineman boot on the website!

      Best boots indeed! I honestly don't want to take them off at the end of most days. And considered the materials and all the work that goes into them, they could be more expensive. Buying nicks and ship them around the world is actually a lot cheaper than getting such a pair made here in germany, at least as far as i know.
      Ordered my 2nd pair almost 3 months ago, can't wait for them to get finished x)

    Nick's are wonderful boots. I feel great every time I wear mine. Expensive? Sure. They have to be given the materials & craftsmanship. Worth it? Absolutely. These guys are American craftsmen and craftswomen. If you don't have a pair, treat yourself. They will last for years and can be rebuilt. Buy fewer, better things. And buy American. You won't be sorry.

      Keep in mind that when you need to resole, your local cobbler can put whatever sole you want on the boot. I know Dr. Martens have some great anti - everything, including oil, and slip resistant soles. I hated the pair I owned except for the soles. I'm sure you can find specialty soles that suit your needs when you need to resole, if the stock isn't good enough for your needs.

    Does the standard black Vibram lug sole mark up flooring? What about the Honey Vibram? Is the honey vibram significantly more prone to wear because it's softer, do they statistically get sent back for resoling earlier?

    I am a new Wildland volunteer firefighter and in need of some good boots and from what I understand you guys are the best. My problem is with me being new to the department and all of us being volunteers we have to buy our own supplies and our own gear and your boots are just way out of my price range. So my question is do you guys have a payment plan or a cheaper option?

    I have some questions about boots, I'm the guy who is 12/14 hours on feets walking up and down through company and working on many different tasks, I think moc toe is way too go and I would like to know-
    How long boots sole's can hold up until resole is needed ( years and miles) for example? I'm small and light weight, 80kg
    How much does cost to repair, resole process?
    Thanks for answer in advance, hope to upgrade my feets with Nick's this year.

    I have news wescos, so not the same, but yeah, the edge dressing is just an out of the box thing. I tap my feet together when I get into my car when it snows, and they're natural after just a few taps lol. Still, get whatever you like, cause a little shoe polish will restore the color no problem.

    I'm a small female who has to do a lot of hard work. I'm on my feet a lot and can't find a pair of shoes/boots that don't wear out in 3 months. Watching your videos I understand why the commercial boots wear out so fast. I want a pair of your boots. Hard-working women have issues finding good quality products in their sizes. I'm hoping yours isn't the same. I normally wear a 6 in women's shoes. If you do offer sizes that would fit smaller people/women it would be good to see a video with that demonstrated. So many companies advertise to men forgetting that women also work the farms, weld, and work construction.

      @Texas240 3 роки тому +1

      I see Nick's didn't respond, but their website shows options for width and they say the boots fit comparably to the Brannock Device sizing. Try a high quality local shoe or work boot store and get a good foot measurement. (You might offer a tip if you know you aren't going to buy anything, just offering might get you good free service).
      Nick's offers a return policy if you don't wear the boots. So, you can return if you realize the size you ordered won't work. They also offer to send out try on boots to check the sizing, for a fee.

    One more comment. Just because they make custom-fitted boots doesn't necessarily mean you should order custom. Unless you have a specific issue with your feet (bunions, size difference, hammer toes, etc.), try standard-fit first. Custom fit does not necessarily mean perfect fit. Standard is cheaper and faster.
