Awh... Born and spent most of my life in Longmont and moved out in 2019. It's kind of sweet to know you walked by all my childhood memories, especially when I can't wander the town myself. Nice job.
I think this is a great idea! I may try this in my little town of Catawissa, PA, the move onto Bloomsburg. However, I would have to do it in the mornings. So fun to watch you and Flower Power blooming where you are planted🌸
Well done! I'm doing this in Glasgow, Scotland. It's a much bigger and more sprawling city, so it's been 2 years and I'm about 40% done with a few thousand more to go. Doing it in 4 months is no mean feat!
That's a tough question. I'd have to say the old town neighborhood because it is historic and walking distance to downtown Longmont. Also high on my list are the neighborhoods surrounding McIntosh Lake. Cheers!
Is there any new app out there that will automaticly generate a walking or driving route for every street in a different city? I'd like to do this in a few different towns around me, I just want a pre-planned route.
Hi. I'm not aware of an app that will *automatically* generate a route for every street. CityStrides has some new features since I made this video that help you *manually* pre-plan a route. I don't use them though. I'm in the middle of re-walking every street in Longmont again. I usually don't put too much time into figuring out the most efficient routes. I'll pick a neighborhood or section of the city and then just walk it. Often I would benefit from having a plan though. Haha! If you find an app that does this let me know. Maybe I'd give it a go. Cheers!
Nice work! Congrats! It was fun watching your progress. Did you plan your routes out much beforehand or more on the day of? I love that you did this all over the course of the winter!
And over half the town is now suspicious of you.”what’s this guy doing in our neighborhood after dark” “I heard he was checking to see when people were away from their homes” “I heard even worse than that!” “I heard he’s crazy ! And just stares at electric boxes!”😂🤣😂🤣 Congrats on achieving your goal 👍👍

According to the CityStrides website, Catawissa has 56 streets. Sounds like a fun challenge.

Thanks! Best of luck with your Glasgow walk! I’m a little jealous. :)
Well done. I try to vary my walking routes. It's good to walk the same streets at different times of the year. But only in daylight!
Good point! It's great to see how a location changes throughout the seasons. Cheers!
Amazing sounds fun I wanna try now
Let me know if you do it! I sure had fun.
😍😍😍😍😍Amazing video, my friend !!!
Love watching your adventures 🎶
Cheers, Surf and Turf Travel.
What a fun idea. You may inspire me to do a version of that somehow.
Right on! Let me know if you do it.

I will join you when I retire!
Aside from where you live now, what neighborhood in Longmont struck you as the best one to live in? Thanks.

Thanks! I usually just walked neighborhoods adjacent to the previous night's walk. I wasn't very efficient in my planning TBH.. :)
Very nice. Awesome video. What is your average speed ? 😀
Great to hear from you Jorge! I'd guess my average speed was between 3 and 4 MPH. Slower on the icy days! :)
I'm in that mural at 2:32
That's cool! Did Gamma create that mural? I think I read that he did. His stuff is great and I really like that mural! Cheers!
@@Justin_Hikes yes he did. I went to school with him and his brother Adam. I've known the Acosta family for a long time

Haha! I really expected more interactions with people. But generally I had the streets to myself after dark in the winter. :)
Hahaha, Thats Funny
I personally despise this ghastly town. I'm leaving in May.
What's the problem with it? I can't imagine any problems really other than traffic.
