Have you lost an Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, etc. near you!? // Thanks again for 1.4K subs! New city, Longmont with more videos to come! Make sure to check out this abandoned Village Inn in a nearby city, Broomfield: ua-cam.com/video/2aHF1MFW1TM/v-deo.html
I had my local Outback Steakhouse close in 2017 because they moved down the street. It was in a small plaza with IHOP in it. Also, the IHOP is still open as of today, and the old Outback Steakhouse is still abandoned.
@@Optopolis I may be wrong, but I’m guessing these restaurants are doing somewhat better than comparable restaurants because the theme is a little more upscale, but reasonably priced.
It really sucks that this one closed because these older Outbacks with the older exteriors/interiors are getting rarer by the day. I’m super grateful that there are still 2 older outbacks with older interiors near me.
They are starting to shift away from the older design. Most around me including Cheyenne Wyoming still feature the older design, but there is at least one or two I know of that definitely have the more mordern design.
I also noticed that compared to the older locations with the older style, this is actually one of the newer Outbacks that were built with these interiors since most were built in the mid to late 90’s, and ended this style at around 2006.
That mahoney container in the back is a grease trap. When the change out the oil in the fryers, etc..., this is where it goes, then it’s gets picked up where it’s taken to be disposed of properly and legally. Unsure why it wasn’t taken after they closed, but that’s anyone’s guess.
@@Optopolis The logic indeed! Or when they leave dumpsters behind, which are owned by the trash company. Probably because they paid for months of service in advance so they left it there just in case, but again I’m only guessing! Lol
Hahaha, but in a figurative sense true! Bloomin onions are often one of the things I'll eat at outback myself tho, always a good product imo! I entirely feel ya. Planning to just catch up on at least some content tomorrow until I gotta leave for the stream. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed!
I won't lie, prob'd be cool as heck, but no way in the world that I could get out there right now or any time soon due to my circumstances. Sad to hear, though, that a location out in that area closed recently!
Thanks! Truly Does suck to see that, I also personally love Outback! Fortunately in this area only three have closed very recently. Hopefully the rest of the locations continue to thrive!
Awesome video! Sorry, internet cut out at the ending minute. Can't wait for your next video, and especially your 1.5K special and maybe your 2K special!
No worries! For some reason this video bugged out on my end too, had to refresh halfway through! 1.5K is gonna be one of the Biggest ones I've done, 2k will be even Bigger!
Lol also had it bug out at 3:42 for me; for some reason skipped half of my voice over in the premier even though it is there now XD Glad you enjoyed tho! :)
Since when did you come to boardman, Ohio lol. Teasing, it's looks like exactly the same when terry took me to the one that was closed in his neck of the woods. Awesome video as always.
Hahahaha! Thanks Yeah there are many that look very similar to each other. The main difference between this one and Cheyenne on that topic is the look on the inside. It's interesting how some are nearly identical while others are very different!
@@StantonsJourneys Personally I do overall like the warm and colorful vibe these ones give off, although I do gotta give credit to some of the newer ones. I've come across at least one former Sears Auto center where they transformed it (pun not intended) into a modernized Outback and it doesn't look bad for what it is!
It’s also super cool to see a perfect mesh of the labelscar since outback doesn’t take down their signs when painting their buildings because their sign is literally flush to the siding.
Oh yeah! Many places don't take the signage down for repaints. I guess one can't blame them; on some level, I could see it argued that it is silly to remove the sign to paint what no one will see. Of course, until a place closes down as in this case!
I prefer those old Outback building model. I had one near me years ago and never ate there in my life. They moved a bit farther from me. The old location is now a Mexican seafood restaurant and they kept the old facade of the previous tenant. Pretty cool!
I haven't hada chance to although I am aware of it and got it in my list of places to visit for a video. Didn't fully expect that one to close, mqkes me wanna try one of the other locations even more sometime!
Oo yeah definitely! Most of the ones that use this style around me use this paint scheme, but It wouldn't surprise me if there are some other ones out there that still use an older color set!
Thanks! Definitely not a super common thing although it definitely is more common today than a year ago. Hopefully Outback finds a way to continue to thrive overall!
I quit going to any of the outback steak houses when they started charging $4 for a draft beer, what a rip-off. My son and would go there twice a month but never went back after the $4 beer thing. TheReaper!
Oof dang! Yeah some of the stuff on the menu is definitely pricy all around for what you get imo. Not gonna make me stop loving their steak, but definitely not cheap. I remember getting out of there for under 30 USD per person, now a days, it's almost hard to get out under 40 or 50 USD.
@@Optopolis @Optopolis I can afford it no matter what they charge, that's not the point I just feel like a sucker or a moron for paying it. I can throw a nice porterhouse on the grill and a couple of cold ones for around $12. Once they piss me off that's it I never go back. TheReaper!
Now it’s going to be a tiki bar restaurant called Swaylos!! I’m a bartender there come see me! And show the people on UA-cam what a radical transformation it is from the old outback it’s $1 million transformation come see for yourself!!

Nope, both of mine are still open although not busy like they used to be.
@@leedaniels7196 Surprisingly, mine in cheyenne does still tend to be busy especially around dinner time, but it does seem slightly less busy.
@@realrtot9138 Oo dang! Not often I see a plaza one, the only one I saw like that was one that Slacking Packing Filmed. Makes sense they'd move tho!

Yeah but the classic interior is super rare since most old exteriors have modernized interiors.

That makes sense. Was a tad curious ngl. Yeah who knows why they left it but took all the signs down. The logic sometimes LOL!

Could be tho tbh, I didn't think of that. At the end of the day tho, yeah who knows.

Cheers!
Really enjoyed your awesome abandoned video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Got more Outbacks to film among other brands soon! :)
Great video 👍👍!!! Man it’s been so hard catching up on peoples UA-cams lately!!! Man them bloomin onions at that location got burnt from closure lol

Love the vid. The outback in Fort Collins closed as well
Thanks, glad you liked it! Sad both of these locations had to close, hoping to make a visit to the FoCo one eventually!
The Outback in Costa Mesa just recently closed. I actually live close to there so if you maybe wanna collab that would we sick!

Nice work on the Video Optopolis
Thanks! I love the way this one turned out! Aimed to make it stand out far from the crowd of "Abandoned Outback Steakhouse!"
Love the b roll! Sucks to see a outback close down I love outback!

I heard that Longmont Colorado used to be Kristen Schaal's hometown.
Interesting.

I do gotta give credit to these mexican places that don't screw up the facade. Personally, I actually see that as more of an opportunity anyway tho.
nice job on the video
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Have checked out the abandoned pizza ranch in loveland that closed down last August

I just noticed that all of the table hanging lights were on!
Nice catch! This tends to be a norm at places that are vacant/abandoned and untouched... although there are many exceptions!

What do you want from me it's a mildly heavy door and not easy to open when grabbing just by the handle XD
I heard that it’s going to be a tiki bar and I live in Longmont

Dang no steaks for me.
Ah man I wanted a bloomin onion... Definitely couldn't get that!
