when I watched the „Carol Burnett Show“ as a boy, the „Eunice“ skits were my favorite. In time I began to see that there was a tragic undercurrent running throughout these skits. Carol Burnett said herself „that humor comes from a place of pain“. There was an episode once that I watched together with my mother and at the conclusion we both agreed the story was so real and pathetic that it was not funny anymore. They had gone over a delicate line from farce to pathos. It was pure genius, both the writing and of course Carol‘s heartfelt performance.
When this show was on every week, my mother used to watch these and just howl laughing. Now after all these years, I see why she did. This was back when TV was really good.

We were allowed to stay up later to watch this show when I was a kid. We had to be ready for bed so right after we hit the sack. How are you doing today?
I was a child of the middle 70’s yup but now I’m hoping that they get this remastered on Blu-ray 😎👍🏻
This show needs to be put back on television. The world needs more laughter and happiness right now. I love Carol Burnett and Vicky Lawrence and I loved watching them with my momma, we still watch them & cry with laughter. Thank-you, so much.
Seriously.
TV Land introduced me to CB, but now they only do The Jeffersons and Sanford.
Its on MeTv @ 5pm central time
Insomniac I agree. The garbage that is on TV now isn’t worth watching. And we won’t talk about what it’s teaching the younger generations.
They don't make variety shows anymore it's all reality TV now.
Heart warming & oh so funny
The real deal, comedy at its best! I watched the Carol Burnett show as a child. Episodes are still funny.
Hello 👋
How are you doing?
I am so blessed to have had these types of shows as a part of my childhood😀
I Love Eunice's facial expression after Ed got The Scarlet Pimpernel
The Family was my favorite part of the show. That and the old movie take offs.
Love when Eunice freaks out!! Lol 😂😂
andy lenow absolutely. We are waking up
Love her in Monopoly..poor thing ..never wins..
Nothing funnier than the family. Love these.
Hello Lucy
How are you doing?
I want that blue fridge! 😆
I know right😏
I grew up watching mama's family. This was one of my favorite shows. I was born in 79 so I didn't know until years later that carol Burnett had her own show and Mama's family was part of it.
Mama was part of it. If anything The Family would be Eunice's Family.
This is some of the best comedic performances in tv history unforgettable!!!!
I just love Carol Burnett when she played Eunice with Mom and this day and time this what I need to listen this really makes me laughthis helps me to get through the lonely nights and days with the corona going on thank you Carol Burnett love your show.
Never gets old....priceless.💫
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣That Carol Burnett she is a trip just love her she’s hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember trying so hard to stay awake so I could watch Carol every week.
What a comedy team. This was a sketch they got through without cracking up. The ones that were so funny they couldn't hold it were unbelievable. The audience absolutely lost it, then one of them did, but it didn't matter. Laughter is the binder of our soul. These people could bind your soul.
“Wait Till the Sun Shines Belly!!!”
Bahahaha
Amazing how they can remember all of their lines!
they did have prompting boards they could glace at from time to time .
The funniest part of this was I actually had family that acted and dressed just like this….Probably why I loved it so much….the sarcasm was blade sharp.
The Robert Wood painting above the fireplace brings back memories of family time when I was a child.
Omg I just luv Carol an Vickie, two of the funniest ladies on planet earth, I bet their great friends!🎇✨✨🎆💫😁💞
hopefully.
Tina, we don't live on a planet. There is NO space, NO globe.
@@Guitarman7133 Okay Mr. Flat Earther.
*they're
Carol Burnett/Aka. Eunice was Hilarious as this woman /still remains a talented living comedic Legend...with how she portrayed this character!🤣😂
IS STILL TALENTED SHE IS STILL ALIVE JUST doesn't do those shows any more .
natalia oconnell/ True maybe I should have rephrased my comment I’ll edit now..Thanks Natalia for the correction 👊🏾😂
We were allowed to stay up later to watch this show when I was a kid. We had to be ready for bed so right after we hit the sack. The Family, Mr Tudball and Mrs Wiggins, and Tim Conway making the cast crack up on the skits he was in were the high lights of the show.
It is amazing that they only had less than a week to learn all the skits, the musical numbers and productions and execute it in front of a live audience. Great acting and great comedy.
God bless the 70s
Absolutely hilarious 🤣 😂it’s still one of my favorite shows especially when I was a child growing up in the middle 70’s to the 80’s 😂The Carol Burnett show was cool to watch especially when parents sat down to watch this on tv 📺 👍🏻😎
