Stock blocks can only hold high 300 ish WHP. Sadly you gonna blow this block too with new clutch. Stock block internal can’t handle to bigger combustion inside. Your rods are gonna go once you do a random pull. Weeks months from now Built block at a workshop could save you money long run

Glad for you! there is the hks step1&2 2.5L forged internals without the block. You then need some shop to assemble. There arent seem to be any closed deck fa24 block yet... iag seems to be working on one...
This one felt great! I have had a big Turbo on my Gen 1 FA20 for about 5 years making 430 to the wheels. I drive it hard and have had 0 issues. Gun to my head I'd take your FRS over the BRZ still even though I did the BRZ. Keep up the good work bro

great video Chris! i'm finally lowering my wrx on saturday, and hopefully soon i'll start stacking up power mods for once i'm off of warranty in march of '26. since it's my only car and daily, i want a comfortable 300, maybe 350whp. like a chill 100+hp over stock or something. as for my favorite, i'd say the new brz just because of how it looks and the fa24 motor. if i ever blow up the fa20 in my wrx, i want to fa24 swap it. get the best body style and the better motor
I'm confused, I understand testing the stock fa24 but why not just get the upgraded clutch while the motor was out?? It would've been smart, and you could still test it!
My Brz blew up last weekend sad to see the build go bad just ordered hks supercharger too /: instead of fixing it just picked up a Kia stinger gt1 awd not stick sadly but still the funnest car I’ve been in to date

Just curious, was it possible to swap in the FA24 from a wrx that's already built to accommodate a turbo? I realize the placement of the turbo is different, but from what I understand the internals in the WRX are better suited for forced induction
