The easier and guaranteed way to clean a flood car is to remove all electrical sensitive components and clean those separately, ideally replace, and then on a sunny summer day, early in the morning, power wash the car, inside out, with ideally filtered water and let it sun dry all day for at least two or three sunny days. Once perfectly dry, it will be as if never flooded at all. It's what Freddie should have done with his P1 on day one. Using cleaners and brushes will just shift the salt and sand around, not remove it.

That's the problem with flood cars. Some of the problems show themselves right away and others will continue to appear down the road. As a fan the only thing missing from the channel is finding out what the cars are actually like. Your collection and the list of stuff you’ve had is amazing, but we never get to know how they compare or how much you enjoyed owning them. Sucks that UA-cam actively discourages diversifying the content.
Tyler, you're a great guy that makes great content for an audience that generally likes you for you. We understand that you have to make a certain amount of money on each video for them to be worth and thus need to push some of the drama, but if you want to do videos of just enjoying these cars the people that actually matter will watch.
Don’t know why he calls his cars hoopties when he doesn’t own a single real hooptie. A real hooptie is an old car in such bad shape that you’re amazed it can still drive. Mostly found in bad, poor neighborhoods.
All us creators know that viewers like two things, watching catastrophe happen and telling you that you did something wrong. Nailed em both Hoovie! lol

Audio in many parts of this video is muffled and almost unlistenable. Did you get a new mic? It is awful. Whatever you are using at the begining, and for example at 15:30, is junk.
Hoovie I hope you can fix the audio for future videos. It's really quiet when talking in the garage, but when you're test driving or at the Wizards, it's super loud.

Hoovie, I love your videos a lot! But they are so quiet compared to all other channels I watch. Can you stick a little compression on the audio maybe? :)
There are even some sections that are louder than others. The section just before 15:20 is reasonable volume, then at 15:20 you can hear it's quieter. Not sure if you have someone do your videos or you edit yourself, but a gentle compressor with a bit of make-up gain on the output of the master would do the trick I think :)
Running 33 inch Geolander ATs with 16 inch TRD wheels on my FJ. Can't believe how smooth and quiet it is on the road. Also haven't hit anything on the trail that they can't handle
12:10 if the car has low compression, it can be masked by a cold start/ cold engine which is when the ECU dumps more fuel. When the car warms and start fuel consumption is back to normal is when you could notice obvious power loss. It’s mostly common with bad piston rings. It won’t throw a check engine light but will run like crap. I tried explaining it without being too geeky so help me out if I’m wrong

@liamgross7217 I'm aware of that, but if it's something he wants to do then screw the people that are only here for the broken cars and drama.
How about getting some external mics? The volume levels are continiusly variable 😂
I bought 5000 XAI320 couple hours ago and I’m pretty happy with what it’s doing so far
Imagine overpaying for a challenger and then complaining when it was junk. Who could have guessed😂😂😂
Don’t know why he calls his cars hoopties when he doesn’t own a single real hooptie. A real hooptie is an old car in such bad shape that you’re amazed it can still drive. Mostly found in bad, poor neighborhoods.
Apparently you don't watch many of his videos. Values of his "hoopties" are all over the board though.
Car Wizard ain't complaining $$$$$
All us creators know that viewers like two things, watching catastrophe happen and telling you that you did something wrong.
Nailed em both Hoovie! lol
Your garage is lacking a tool corner. You can definitely sort out the brakes on the woody yourself. You should do a joint video with ChrisFixx on how to wrench on some fo your cars
why did you skip over that Mach 1 Mustang??
Maybe it's not his. He used to have this "Clown Shoe" up on the lift in his earlier home, he never talked about. That wasn't his car either.
@@heiner71

@@heiner71He did own and sell it, there’s a video about it, people started talking about it in the comments and instead of making a video on it he ran with the meme and then sold it and made a video about why he never made a video on it. Very meta of Hoovie
I'm sure that 2 million dollar Bugatti has nothing to do with it 😂
It really doesn't. Lol. Google him and his family. They are Richie Rich, rich. Lol.
His family own's Freddy's frozen custard which is one of the fastest growing chain restaurants in the world. He's going to be fine.
The Bugatti isn’t 2 million he paid just a little over a million
@@xxsupermanxx567 oh yeah I forgot
No shit? I truly didn't know that
Why do we keep skipping over the Mach one?
Maybe a Cartrek car?
It's weird to hear about your videos doing better than others because I just watch whatever you put out. 😁
Tyler; I brought cleaning supplies!.
Tyler; brings a knife to a gun fight 😂
I for one would love to see these cars being used rather than sitting on the lifts! Especially on fun or exciting road trips like going to see the eclipse. You're living so many car guys' dreams, feel free to show us what that's like! Also, it's your channel and your collection, but it was so heartbreaking seeing the Countach go and that awful Eldorod is still sitting there..
I think every video includes at least one driving segment
I appreciate that you are getting more sponsorships that make sense for your channel. Like tires and car accessories, it just makes so much more sense. Also that track day episode was one of your best episodes in a long time. Please don't stop doing those fun episodes just because it didn't do quite as well as other videos.
With all the money you pay the Wizard, you could hire your own full time mechanic. You have the shop and the lifts, save on the parts markup having your own mechanic order them. You lose the Wizard's personality though.
YT pays the bills
I'd imagine thats the plan when wizard retires.
It seems to me Hoovie is the kind of guy that prefers to spread the blessings. He gets bank, spreads it around a little, gives some plugs for other local businesses and smaller channels. It's a nice thing for all
Audio in many parts of this video is muffled and almost unlistenable. Did you get a new mic? It is awful. Whatever you are using at the begining, and for example at 15:30, is junk.
Hoovie I hope you can fix the audio for future videos. It's really quiet when talking in the garage, but when you're test driving or at the Wizards, it's super loud.
There’s worse “deep holes” to be in 😂
But he's already vastly improved the best "deep hole" he's in.
"If you're going to be in a deep hole, make sure it's the best you can get." - Tyler Hoover (probably)
Are the brake lights permanently on on the BMW Clownshoe??
They were in the video, I'm sure he has been told or seen the footage by now.
Just swapped all of my last ETH and swapped it into XAI320. Already up a little bit. Unfortunately I have some other junk staked which won’t free up for a while. Still now I am on the train!
Thanks for the XAI320 update! I am loving my XAI320!
He just bought a Bugatti, I just bought a new toaster
Why’d you skip over the Mach?
Wondering the same
also didn't mention the V10 touareg
And lastly Hoovie, your clown shoe brake lights stay on. Happy New Year buddy!
Okay, so I wasn't the only one who saw that, Tyler driving with one foot on the accelerator and one on the brake.
@@ivanoffw Don't think he had his foot on the pedal, likely an electrical issue
Car Ninja always so Zen like with his "its doable" line. Gotta love it!
Been here since the Lincoln Land Yacht. Enjoy your work.
But that Pompous Blue Nightmare really rubbed me the wrong way. Doesn’t look like I’m the only one.
Well, don't buy a Bugatti... Oh, wait....
We've all been in a deep hole hoovert
Hoovert 😂😂😂
@@chkndnts😂😂😂😂
Sometimes the comment section is just as entertaining as the video. 😂😂😂
You and April make the greatest content on YT. Nothing is boring when you're a genuine car guy having fun 😁
Lack of accountability is a hard drug.
it could be worse. Samcrac buys sh!tboxes, fixes very few, and then leaves them all to rot in a paddock.....
And is far more entertaining...
Millions of dollars in cars and he can't afford a camera or phone that has good audio whatever he uses to record videos.
Seeing you working on the cars yourself is kinda entertaining not going to lie. Humorous and fulfilling.
I’m going to say that do what you do hoovie! Ultimately chasing views will lose the authenticity that brought you success not the ruination
Can't believe you sold the Z8....the most beautiful BMW roadster ever made, extremely limited production and prices keep going up up up. DUMB.
Yeah, crazy L
I'm sure the Bugatti makes up for it.
@@MrDuncl keep both at this point bro. Z8 is like 150
To be fair it is the dumbest automotive channel on UA-cam so he’s not lying 😁
Yeah Z8s are top tier, that made no sense.
Hoovie you've literally had 95% of my dream cars..stop the boohooing 😂
Do not sell the Maybach! You went through hell to repair that thing.
I like your videos about finding a cheap interesting car, seeing everything wrong with it and then fixing it.
note to editor.. please normalize the volumes amongst all the clips.. I had to adjust my volme at least a half dozen times.. turned up volume to hear and then next scene its blasting my ears out :|
good luck with that
It's the same sound editor that makes the music too loud in the old Top Gear videos.
What’s up with the blue mustang, you didn’t say anything about that one, or the resto-mod 49 Cadillac
poor guy...youtube forced me to stay in a full time job instead of doing youtube full time.
Happy New Year and awesome 2025! Thakn you for the smiles Hoovie. You are blessed and have April to guide you through life's challenges. Keep doing what you are doing, it works.
