I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that, generally, Nintendo music is the catchiest and best video game music.

I first heard this song when I was 5, and used to play it every time I went to my Uncles house. I looked forward to running around in the Dark World just to hear this on a loop. He gave me the game when I got a Super Nintendo. This song was one of the major inspirations for me getting into music!

Dark World is one of my favorite theme from the Zelda Serie, and I'm always amazed about how people can show the essence of this tune in such different ways. And this is one is truly brilliant.
There should be one camera completely dedicated to the cat dancing.

bleh. A Ling Between Worlds had nice remasters in them, but sometimes they changed the overall feel of the song too much.
the dark world themes both feel different, for instance, but both suit their respective dark worlds. I really didn't liked ALBW's death mountain theme, though.

God, how does he whistle in tune?
It's incredibly hard to do. I'm the only person in my group of friends who's even capable of whistling, and I stay in tune as best I can, but Smooth makes it seem so effortless. It's inspiring and discouraging at the same time. Dude's a biological jukebox.
windumaster14 I dunno, I haven't practiced at all and it's incredibly easy for me to whistle in tune. I guess it just comes naturally to some?
Whistling scales is different from whistling notes in quick succession, as Smooth is doing. But yes, like all things in life, certain things are easier for others.
If you can whistle, you can whistle in tune, all it takes is practice, i whistle a lot and i can whistle along to this pretty easily.
Although to change notes quickly you need to quickly inhale and change the note before exhaling, otherwise the notes bleed together

I can whistle in tune easier than anything. In fact, any song writing I do I come up with all parts with whistling before transcribing them to other instruments. .. And I've been playing guitar for like 18 years and I still can't improv as good as I can whistling.
And no, I don't have any music videos up anymore. All of my music got stolen when I backed it up to my iPod like 4 years ago, and then went to the gas station with the intent of copying it back to my newly formatted hard drive. THAT is the time when my iPod got stolen. And I turned around RIGHT when I walked into the store and back out and it was already gone. I couldn't believe it. (I went back for my phone, not my iPod. They took the iPod and left the phone, probably because the screen was cracked.) =(
I like the fact that there is less more bas and das in this one and a little bit more scat per-se it sounds pretty awesome :D

This didn't give me nostalgia back then, because i've never played Link to the Past. Now that the SNES emulator for the Switch is out i get nostalgia for this. I used to have that on my playlist when I was like 12.

Okay, Smooth, maybe you already know, but this arrangement of yours made it into an episode of a gaming show in Germany called GameOne, it was used for a coverage about "Zelda: A Link between worlds".
Was really happy to see the word spreading even through the german media.
