Addition: when hidden, take your time and go for the certain headshot. But when your team is already fighting, just go for the easier body shots and don't wait for the perfect opportunity. Any hunter you can hit is a one-shot kill for your team and vice versa. And any shot you don't take is a missed shot.
I'm a lone wolf cause my friend rushes the most obvious entry without saying anything.
That sounds dumb. I always make sure to tell my team I'm suiciding into the most obvious entry. Communication is everything.

That’s how I play most of the time. I rather play by myself than with randoms. Big part in personal improvement.

@@budgetcommander4849 Hahaha, sometimes. Part of the challenge in being outnumbered can be fun, as being by myself I can play as unorthodox as I want. Sometimes, it works out. Other times, it doesn't. The real funny parts are when I end up getting chased across the map by one team who either have the bounty and are hungry for kills or are angry because of what I did.

I play duo with a sniper companion and it often feels like a disadvantage against other duos who play close- or mid-range. You need a specific setup for it to work. If your sniper doesn't have a favorable position, you're basically playing 1v2, which is obviously difficult. Can't count the number of times I died and the sniper had to watch me burn to death.
Anyone rocking a sniper build has to be prepared to push close with their teammate when necessarily. QS is still basically the most reliable method of finishing someone at mid or close range (just don't get withing 15m or shotguns become supreme), so even a sparks/officer loadout does fine pushing compounds. Also, a sniper needs to learn how to use their 10x zoom scope in CQC, thankfully we have training for that.

Very nice guide, I’ve been doing sniping myself and it’s good to see someone making a guide to those who wish to master the scope.
While I do many games with the Sparks (the one shot makes me calculate my shots more), I prefer the Mosin Sniper for taking out groups quickly since I usually run sniper solo and the first 5 seconds are crucial for my survivor in a fight. Usually I manage to take out at least 2, which gives me more ease since it’s only 1v1 later and I have the advantage of range.
sniping is so awesome in hunt, its a pity many people who snipe in hunt just don't contribute anything to their team and end up being more or less useless

Subbed man, great videos, i just got the game for ps4. It's so unlike anything else out there but i was making a ton of mistakes, I'm going thru all your videos and learning so much, this is the 7th I've watched but i wanted to comment this time on how good they are.
youre not getting better at a game by watching videos just saying. these just provide knowledge you maybe need in a later gunfight.

@@sn4ccy152 i never argued that experience is the best way to get better. But having knowledge that helps you later in a gun fight (your words, not mine) IS making you better. You react better, make better split decisions, as you know the outcome of those by having knowledge. Its the experience that makes those split decisions easier and quicker to make. Simply pointing out the contradiction in your statement.
I am not the best player when it comes to fierce combat so I specialized as a sniper to stalk the bayou and create opportunity for myself by creeping around the action. And you did not mention it but the Vetterli Deadeye worked wonders with me.
I mean Mid-range weaponry is wonderful. I prefer mid range to long range so guns like Vetterli, Springfield, Martini and Winnie (at the edge of it's range) are wonderful for me. I feel though that a lot of the tips in the video can be used at any range especially if you have the element of surprise. Shoot then rotate, be patient on a dead body, be with team in a way that you can help cover them, pay attention to enemy weapons, etc. I can't tell you how many times positioning and coordination has helped my team win even if we're all using melee weapons.
@@bakuwinthro8926 Positioning and smart flanking wins you games. I once alone with Vetterli deadeye and silenced nagant revolver managed to corner 2 dueling duos at the extraction point. The last two guy probably paniced and remained pinned behind the boat in waist deep water. I just rotated to a new spot every few second around the boat until I took them out both and escaped with the bounty and the loot of 4 hunters. I couldn't beleive my luck... they could've easily push me but they stayed behind the boat.

I was wondering if you would maybe do a video talking about what you would like to see come next in the game. Where do you see the developers taking the game next ? Can you see a 4 man sqaud being added to the game ? Would you like to see a bigger map with more people on ? The game has so much potential going forward and it would be interesting to hear your thoughts about it.

I recently started using the sparks llr and I love it. I like the super high damage. Grinding away to get the sniper variant.

With 1.3 I'm loving the Lebel marksman/officer pistol combo. I do like it with a team, but I especially like it when playing solo which I do a lot. I can stalk my prey and wait for the easy, sneaky headshot with the scope then either keep my distance and fight with the advantage of the scope or push in closer and go 1v1 going for headshots with the high fire rate of the officer pistol. Bornheim would be a good secondary too, but the officer is still going to shoot faster than most opponents and will two-shot to the body if you aren't hitting your headshots.

I'm playing on PS4 so it's probably a little different.
I would definitely recommend a fast firing pistol as your sidearm. Bornheim, Dolch or a chain pistol with fanning. Unless you're really good at quick swapping so you can get the fast 2 tap kill, I wouldn't recommend the uppercut even with fanning. The recoil is just insane and I've noticed a lot of times I miss my shots because of it.
I feel your correct, the Martini Henry is not a sniper rifle, I see it as a designated marksman rifle. It can hit out to simular ranges but that's not it's comfort zone. It sits from just outside most rifle ranges to about the start of shotgun range in my opinion. Although the repost version makes it fairly good at close quarters.
I absolutely love the Zorngiest along with the rancor load out, 3 frags and a vitality shot while using the phantom it's definitely one of the deadly builds which as a solo gets the job done, also the dislikes on this video are people who can't snipe cause they're too trigger happy.

why so many frags when you are supposed to stay away from ppl. I’d rather bring a extra ammo box cause you often run out of ammo being no where close to a compound.
@@impc8265 this was when I was about prestige 3 or 4 I have changed with my consumable setup which includes 2 vitality shots, 1 frag, and 1 hellfire bomb.
I haven't put a lot of effort into sniping yet. WIll be a play style I try soon. I'm still new to the game, lots to figure out.

My favorite long range rifle would be the Martini-Hennry because even though being one of the slowest long ammo weapon it for me is perfect its actually the only large weapon i main in hunt and with the way i aim it plays out really well which is that if in combat you aim but you don't keep your irons but your always searching the horizon for targets and when you get one you would have to make a guess as of how far to lead but when you use the single shot weapons in hunt you'll always have an idea and i've murdered many hunters for underestimating my weapon

I think another really powerful aspect of sniping that went unmentioned here, is peeking through cracks that are literally impossible to really see, let alone cover from the outside and are basically useless without a scope. You know, these really small slits between two planks of wood in a housewall, or the slits between doors/windows and their frames. With a sniper scope and the right positioning you often get some truly nasty angles from there, as the magnification will allow you to get almost a screen-wide zoom onto whatever is outside, making it really easy to shoot even running targets. Meanwhile, if your opponent does not have a sniper himself and does not randomly aim at that very spot, you're absolutely safe there most of the time because nobody will be able to tell you're sitting there.
I bought this a few days ago and I have scarcely put it down in my free time.
Found a couple of other players but I've been playing solo mostly, I enjoy the challenge and the underdog bonus of three player teams on Bounty, plus, quick play is a blast and running to every fight has still left me with a 3+ K/D.
I can't say I've particularly enjoyed the Martini Henry, but the Nagant has been a consistent go to. I really wanted a lurking character to hunt down other players at vulnerable time and the Nagant has been creating some substantial openings. I think it's definitely beneficial that it's still relatively new on PS4. People are still working it out.
Mind, now that I'm almost level 100, I'm going to start playing around with the Nagant machine gun and the bomb lance more. 😂

@@TuFetu yeah, it's been a grind so far. 🙄 I don't want to risk losing them because they're quite an investment, Nagants in general.
But I'm on the short so it's getting there but without directly going for players it's a Hell of a step up. 😂
@@combatwombat2134 bomb lance is my favorite weapon, by far. it's pretty cheep especially when compared to other T3 weapons like the avto. Now for the mosin avtomat a cool thing that I've seen people do when they've had an avto is use a chaos bomb in a team fight so people outside of the fight might not even think that there's actually an avtomat being used by a player.
@@bakuwinthro8926 yeah, for ¢199 a pop, it's super powerful. One hitting players, one shotting enemies like Meatheads for that extra XP. Ammo is actually pretty easy to find and you can confidently go straight swinging into anything because of it's damage.
Plus, as far as I can tell, it like 2-4 shots all bosses? 🤔 With it's harpoon I mean. 😅

Easy sniper guide: Stay the f**k away from ppl and go around fighting teams from afar and get their ass while they stand still or healing or crouching or in water or reviving
I have not realy a problem to hit my shots but more with position myself right. Have so many fights where I don'T even see my enemy because my position is bad.
I would like to know when to fire because I tend to either shoot too soon or too late. That sweetspot, I still haven't found it.
I agree with your load out but ya fanning chain pistol the frag bombs are good but if you have it an lots of cash i always go with 3 big dynamites an one health shot ot 2 . 2

I have 21k but two or three rounds with you investing in expensive equipment can reall hurt, if you happen to loose.
I'm not saying that Mosin Nagant M/1891 is the best sniper in the game, but I am saying that the world's deadliest sniper, Simo Häyhä used M/28 rifle, which was built mostly from M/1891 parts.

I tend to be the first at the boss with non sniper builds because everybody seems to crouch walk everywhere
Gunshots are also most often too far away to still know the location of enemies when im in the vicinity
I once got in a sniper battle with a full team and I was the only one left. We were all using vett deadeyes. I lost because of the light coming at me and blinding me. A headshot finished me but I had fun all the same

This game always gets so annoying when a sweaty sniper team camps outside boss room. I always want to fight some nerds but when people just sit 100 metres away and stare at windows is when i'll say fuck it and leave for a different extract.

If you want to go full sniper a scoped sparks with quartermaster and a scoped sawed off springfield is a ton of fun. Try to get headshots but if you body shot the springfield only needs to do 1 pt of dmg to finish them off and the scope lets you do that at range. Obviously you are totally f*ed up close. Not super competitive but again, a ton of fun.
Scoped sawed off Winfield would be even better and with levering you’d stand a chance cqc

Since I favor close to mid range, I've always hated using the sniper. I find it zoom-in wayyy too much and there's nothing I hate more than being forced to camp or wait 20min so someone finaly gets to the right place where I can kill him with a headshot as it's almost useless if you do a body shot at that range since you're never gonna be able to make ur follow up shot, then he's gonna be hiding forever, healing himself and ur cover will be blown. The one I'm best with is the Zorngiest, otherwise I love the Deadeye scope. I just seriously don't know wtf Crytek thought by doing a Martiny variant with the marksman. It's already slow enough for no reason considering it's a long bullet that it's really JUST enough for deadeye's range, and anything more it is useless imo unless the enemy is totally static, which only newbies are gonna be. If he moves left/right and never stops, hitting him will be like flipping a coin.
Lately I'm trying to practice with the Martini Riposte, I find it pretty fun and challenging at the same time. Now with the fanning nerf, I really dislike using it on the uppercut as it kicks so much and waste through precious ammunition very fast and that gun takes forever to reload too. I'd just fan with Conversion or Chain.
Great tutorials. The only thing is I'm still useless going solo but I have no one to play with and also too uncomfortable to go for random teammates.

Lebel only has 5 extra bullets, mosin has 10 ekstra bullets. That means that mosin is getting more bullets when resupplying.
The label marksmen and uppercut. I play best a long range I tell my teammates this I am happy to push but if they are pushing and not communicating or ping targets I cannot move to cover them. Other time I have noticed a team or two to own rear in a fight and I have said to fall back or rotate and my team keeps pushing. They blame me as they are in the open burning. If pushing over open ground then blame your team when you shot and you have not pinged or said what your doing I am happy not to play with them.
Where can i buy scopes ?
Hello, can i get an answer to unrelated question. At rank 72 i will unlock Mosin Nagant, after getting X ammount of exp with basic mosin i unlock the other version. If i then go prestige, once i reach rank 72 again, will i have the other version of Mosin unlocked as well? Or do i have to earn the mastery again?
Each prestige you have to unlock weapon variants again from scratch. Any mastery progress however is saved.

Tomas Mlynsky yes the “book”. Prestige is good until prestige 10, it will push you to learn other weapons and different play styles (usually).
@@efimviriato4523 Why untill prestige 10? Or you mean it, that by the time i am prestige 10 i should already know the game well enough?
Also i heard that you can pick up a legendary item ( randomly a hero or a weapon ) each time you do a prestige reset. Does that mean that a random legendary item will unlock for you to purchase it in future using dollars or you will just get a one time use of a weapon and once you die, its gone again?
Once I get 100 headshots, I'll get the platinum trophy. Only then I will quit playing this game.
Hopefully this guide will give me some good pointers.

Slower than a rival secondary, and doesn't work well with single shot weapons unless you are using flechette or slug rounds, but otherwise it's not bad.

Last night i was sniping... Saw an enemy... They were standing still... I aim down sights... They are just standing there with their rifle lowered... So i take my time n line up the headshot... Then right b4 i shoot they killed me... Apparently the xbox1 doesn't show the animation of aim down sights... Kool? 😒😞😔

ohhh yea! the stick with the team if you cant help from outside is honestly something so many people ignore and the number of times where rather than my usual marksman springfield i bring a romero or specter and our teams sniper doesnt understand that we needed and even told them to flank and move in because it was clear there would be no lines of sight on the enemies and we needed the help in storming in only for them to stay back in a bush looking at a window that will never be peaked while we both burn after being killed from the place we fucking told them to go to to stop a rotate or flank the enemy resulting overall in them ditching us when our bodies burn out because they are a cowardly idiot who forgots how deadly even just a fucking conversion pistol for fuckin $28! can be......
also yea i gotta say that springfield marksman/ lebel marksman since i honestly dont love the longest zoom scopes since it feels like WAY too much zoom since i can reliably doink heads from 150m out with even just a little ol springfield and honestly i dont really think that even snipers OFTEN at least engage further than that or even need to and if you are stayin over 150m away than i think your bein a bit cowardly and honestly should try to stay more like 100 to 125m out.
and as for why those are my favorites past the correct level of zoom and range its a matter of the lebel marksman just feels like a 10 round, bolt action springfield to me

Springfield marksman. It's a cheap effective sniper.
I know this video is a couple years old, but steady aim has always sucked it lessons your sway overtime, not right away so you have to be scope Jennifer 10+ seconds before your sweet even starts to move

Im a huge fan of Sniping. Since the Sparks sniper got added on Xbox i have just been using Mosin Sniper and Sparks Sniper. I got myself thde calling to be the best sniper on Xbox

Disappointed in the wall hack or x ray vision hacks in this game... not as prevalent as in PUBG or CSGO but still a problem. Also aimbot hacks.

Nagant Deadeye Obviously surpasses god tier sniping. You can't make a video on it or the world will see the meta shattering capabilities of such a weapon. The devs mustn't know of the danger that the weapon holds or it will be nerffed. If it gets nerffed how will I deal with meta weapons like combat axe with derringer or the flare pistol? Answer: you can't!

I appreciate the effort, but I'd probably call this video "Sniper Guide Basics" instead. Also, you raised a number of points with the narration, but they sometimes didn't match what was going on immediately in the video at the moment--such as you talking about quick scoping close range targets which never appeared in the footage.
A very particular sub-topic I think that would help is leading at some common sniper ranges.
Some better editing to "show" and not just "tell" your specific points would make this a stronger video.

A player can shoot well and still be a really bad team mate, the welfare of your team must be above your need to up your KD

In the first min of video he spots three enemies or 3 enemy locations and doesn't ping/mark any of them, useless
8:07 That guy moving right they is why this game needs some more work in the animation department, He has one frame movments, That looks so awkward to shoot at.
How are you supposed to animate a person spamming left and right for strafing? I think with the speeds that the guy was mashing at certain times would only make the animations look goofy if you were to make them a 100% 'realistic' like I can only think of making someone look like they're crab walking. which will look goofy and out of place.

@@leejones2557 fair, I personally don't know a good fix/ example of this done right without slowing down movement.
@@bakuwinthro8926 I'd say slowing down movement would be a great start, Zapping around like that on this game is stupid when most guns have a slow firing time.
This game needs realistic body inertia so people don't strafe like it's Counter Strike.
bullet grubber makes reload slower, is really bad to just save 1 bullet
It's used to top up your gun without wasting ammo, remember that it doesn't slow down the reload if the gun is already empty. Definitely a top tier perk if you are running any weapon that benefits from it.
Mosin sniper does benefit a lot with bulletgrubber since you can't strip reload
