I made my grip with Loctite Kintsuglue, which is similar to Sugru, using the W&W stock plastic grip. I had Jäger 2.0 grip previously, but I had trouble of my hand getting deeper and deeper in to the throat during a session. With Jäger I had also a tendency to shoot right, when I had bad shots. There’s a quite big slope towards the thumb and a pointy ridge on the left, which made the bow torque right, when I didn’t concentrate to push the thumb forward.

I prefer wood grips too, for the same reason. I like to use a fairly low and quite narrow grip, which typically means I have to grind down quite a lot of material.
However, I've actually been able to deal with the hollow section of a plastic grip by filling it in with epoxy putty before I ground the material away. It's not an ideal solution, you have to work fast in order to make sure the epoxy is smooth on the inside, and you have to be very careful to not have any epoxy sticking into your riser, which could mark it up. This method also had an issue where, when grinding, the edge of the plastic around the hole that I made was extremely thin, and it wanted to peel away from the epoxy a little bit. I solved that by sanding it carefully by hand, and that seemed to work pretty well.
So this isn't ideal, but if you can't get a wood grip, I have been able to make this work. This edge can also be covered up by any kind of grip tape, skateboard decking, or whatever else you use for texture, if you want.

Great vid Jake! I can’t recommend building grips like this enough. I did mine after watching your Facebook Live with JB weld Steel Stik and it’s worked like a charm! By far the best way to customize a grip to yourself!

Thanks for putting this up. Still working on my Tourch grip. It's So-so at the moment. I found the 4oz Oatey "Fix -it Stick" bonding putty in the plumbing section at Lowes appx $8. Works great on molding a plastic grip. Haven't tried it on wood yet.😏

At 16 minutes he describing a client as part of a coaching session where he assisted the client with grip customization. I wanted to engage him for exactly the same things.
I 1st communicated with guy some 5 or 6 weeks ago because I was going to be in the area, and a reasonable drive to my pov.
5 ot 6 weeks that seems a reasonable lead time to acknowledge a request, doesn't it? I've never been coached and I wanted to learn how to grip customize...
Oh well heading back to Socal Monday, the rain sure has been nice...

      Hello,
I get hundreds of emails a month and get very busy as well, sometimes things slip through the cracks and that’s my fault. However a follow up is sometimes needed , just incase.
      Thanks

    Thanks for another great video!
Can you please elaborate about the grip you invented for hoyt that made to the HP geometry?
Why nobody is shooting them? Would you recommend building one?
By the way, a great way to prototype is to print a stock grip on a 3d printer. Very cheap and quick.
Also, what are your thoughts about raising the pressure point but keeping thr slope low, and keeping the pivot point untouched? Results in a "hump" that goes towards the hand, and goes back down with the original low slope. I hope I made myself clear.

Hello again, and thank you for the video. I have seen 2-3 times the video, i have done a grip for my hand. I want to ask that the moment that i change riser which means that the grip that i have done doesn't fit to the new riser, so i have to do it again or is there something that i can copy it and print it for example on a 3d printer?

Great content. I already got Rcore standard with enhanced lifeline a month ago. Got fed up with my old Win&win grip.
It will improve alot vs standard Win&win grip that is to rounded off in its shapes and doesn't give the lifeline enough support. And not flat enough for consistency.

Great video Jake. If you built one with the puty and are happy with the end result, do you know if it paints well? Just wondering if you want to tidy it up back to looking kind of stock afterwards.

You can paint it but most people won't use a 2k paint and it will rub off if just basic spray paint.

Paint doesn’t work well with sugru since it’s silicone based and flexes. It will just crack and peel, but sugru comes in a few colors
